The area
Tucked between the Catskills and the Hudson Valley, Little Rock Cabin offers the perfect launchpad for exploring some of our favorite local gems.
Start your day with a coffee from Camp Kingston or Village Coffee and Goods, then stroll the Kingston Farmers Market to stock up on local produce. Grab artisan bread at Kingston Bread and a bottle from Kingston Wine Co., or stop by Olsen & Company for lunch and pantry staples.
Looking for dinner? We love Chleo, Sonder, Mirador, Lola Pizza, and the cozy Brunette Wine Bar—each offering a distinct and delicious experience.
For a dose of culture, tour the Catskill Animal Sanctuary, catch a film at Upstate Films, or wander the monumental sculpture park at Opus 40. Need new threads or the perfect gift? Browse Hamilton & Adams, Westerlind, Rivermint Finery, and Clove & Creek.
If you're craving comfort food, swing by Miss Lucy’s Kitchen or Moonburger for a satisfying veggie burger. And for a romantic gesture, Hop Petunia’s floral arrangements never miss.
In winter, hit the slopes at Hunter or Windham. No matter the season, this pocket of the Hudson Valley has something for everyone.
Little Rock Cabin is just 2.5 hours from New York City. A car is essential for getting there and exploring the area. The main access routes are the I-87 S, Taconic State Pkwy and Palisades Interstate Pkwy S. We strongly recommend a 4x4 or a car with four-wheel drive, especially in winter, to handle snow and gravel roads.
You can also reach Little Rock Cabin via Amtrak to Rhinecliff Station, then a 25-minute Uber ride. There are also multiple bus services leaving from Port Authority that drop you off in Woodstock.
