Very lovely, private and secluded cabin right next to a beautiful woods area. Many trails in driving distance nearby. My dog loved the backyard. The host was very responsive and provided detailed information/instructions that made check in and check out seamless.

We had a lovely stay at Coal Cottage. The house is meticulously appointed, beautifully landscaped, and on a very quiet road that was great for dog walks. It feels like a lived in home with many beautiful books to look at, and comfortable places to eat and relax indoors and out. We didn't have any direct interractions with Red Cottage as we didn't run into any problems. We were nicely accommodated for our stay.

We had a great time with our two dogs. The place was as described and it was a very peaceful and relaxing weekend. You can hear the babbling brook from the backyard and the dogs loved exploring and playing in the yard. Thanks for hosting us!

We had an awesome stay! Great place to celebrate Christmas. Our only issues were that the fireplace flute hadn’t been cleaned out and the beds were fine for one person but two people it would sink in the middle. Other than that it was so peaceful and it was a great space. The kitchen was one of the best stocked kitchens we had ever been in!

The house is absolutely gorgeous! I did not realize when booking that it is atop a ravine with a river at the bottom, which you can hear and see throughout the property, which was my favorite part. The house is very chic and well designed. Our only complaint was the wifi service was not great (to be expected in the country), but this made working from home as we had intended difficult.

Beautiful space! Looks exactly like the photos! Incredibly quiet with a lovely stream below the property. We were there in the winter and can only imagine how great this place could be in the Spring or Fall!

Truly handsome mid-century modern cabin with some really great furnishings/pieces, ceramics, and lighting, as well as super well appointed kitchen, bathrooms, and other amenities. A rustic cabin vibe but elevated and very comfortable! You can sit by the fire listening to music through a seven-speaker sound system! The lost was a bit less secluded than I thought, but it is a beautiful and really an incredible oasis! Red Cottage made it all easy and was totally on top of everything. Nothing went wrong. A great getaway!

We had the best time at this Airbnb. The house is stunning — far and away, one of our favorite stays. Red Cottage was very communicative, providing us with timely and thorough updates about local fire/drought warnings so that we knew not to use the fire pit (which was beautiful). All in all, it was an incredible stay. The only note I had was that the listing doesn’t fully convey how cool the expansive and private outdoor space and views of the river are — was such a pleasant surprise! Absolutely recommend — we would love to stay here again, and soon.

This is a little gem of a mid cent cottage with lots of original Scandinavian decor and pottery. The mountains rose over the trees on both sides, there's a big, roiling river down the ravine and the fireplace draws beautifully. It's special. I bet it's so cozy in the winter, as well.

the property is absolutely amazing. we loved the remoteness and hearing the sound of the river with our coffee on the back deck in the mornings. can't wait to stay here again

Absolutely stunning property. Nestled in nature between two rushing creeks, this felt like a true getaway. The bedrooms are very small, but I would say cozy. The spaciousness in the rest of the home more than made up for the smaller sleeping quarters. Bad reception outside of the home so make sure you’re clear on the directions over and have them saved offline somewhere. Would definitely stay again.

The property was lovely. It was secluded but close enough to town to be able to drive in for walks, etc. the space was very nicely furnished, which made us feel cozy for our fall weekend getaway. Would stay again!

Beautiful mid-century modern home that met all expectations! However please note that while WiFi is great, there is no cell service in the area- it’s not isolated to the house, rather the Phoenicia/Chichester area

We had a lovely time staying at Coal Cabin. It's a beautiful and relaxing place that really allows you to get away from it all and just embrace the quiet. The fireplace was perfect for a couple of chilly nights and the beds were comfy. We were able to go on nice walks nearby and visit the town of Woodstock with it's shops and restaurants.

It was lovely staying here. Great communication and great little spot.

What a wonderful house! We loved the setting and enjoyed exploring the area.
