Nice place to stay
It was fine but the last minute demanded $75 charge in case there was damage. Didn’t like that.
Absolutely loved the apartment! Would definitely stay here again. Positive: Location was perfect! Just about a 2 minute walk to Independence Hall. There were so many shops and restaurants within walking distance that we did not need to use any public transportation. The place was very clean, comfortable, safe and such a great value! Negative: We were a bit surprised by how much of the city street noise we could hear inside the apartment. They do however supply a sound machine in the bedroom for nighttime.
Great stay - clean, accurate, well managed. The only hiccup was that valet sometimes took longer than advertised in the instructions. Didn’t cause a problem for us, but would have if we were in a hurry. Amazing location on independence mall!
amazing
The SoSuite units are in a central location in Philadelphia and the apartments rented through AirBnB are pet friendly. The units are in a nicely renovated old building, but the AirBnB operation looks temporary and comes with a lot of hidden fees. The developer is still trying lease out apartments in the building, while running the short-term rental business on the lower floors. Consequently, the AirBnB side of the operation is understaffed, the lower apartments get a lot of street noise, and the short-term rentals are not exactly spotless. We picked the SoSuite units because of the central location and the pet-friendly policy. I thought pet fee was built into the price of the rooms, but I learned during the pre-check-in process that it would be $25 extra per-day for our small dog. Damage insurance was strongly suggested in pre-registration ($45). If you want to check in before 4 pm, that's another fee. Valet parking? Sure, for an extra fee. Not really a sweet deal.
Jordan was great at check-in and every other night! The valet was always timely and the luggage storage on the last day was perfect to still explore without hauling luggage. I would stay again.
Very mediocre Positive: What breakfast? Negative: No change bedding and service requested to fix loose toilet seat
I needed to extend my stay in Philly for one more night and was happy Simon was able to make that happen for me. His place was just perfect and highly recommend.
everything was as it was advertised very beautiful place. nice view of the park across the street.
It was a great stay and I can’t express how amazing the location was! Everything was perfect, and the host was very communicative when I needed them. I’m looking forward to visiting Philadelphia again and being hosted by them again!! Highly recommend!
Never again. Positive: the breakfast location was always closed so there was no such amenity. Negative: They have bed bugs. Noisy building. A lot of twenty somethings and college kids. I requested a large one bedroom split level loft and it was not available. I got sandwiched into a small one bedroom yet was still charged for the larger room I had booked one month in advance.
I like this aprtm is nice and clean, nice building
We really enjoyed staying at this Airbnb. The location is incredible with restaurants and historical landmarks steps away. I will say it’s extremely loud which I know they can’t change but it is a downside.
No double- glazing and noisy road. Positive: Close to independence square and spacious. Negative: Too noisy. No double-glazing and busy junction.
Positive: Our 1 bed apartment was extremely comfortable and had everything we needed for a three night stay. It was great having kitchen and laundry facilities. The position was excellent in the heart of old town. Negative: Nothing
Excellent host
We had a wonderful stay at Simon’s place! The apartment was very clean, and in a super walkable location right across the street from Independence Hall! A plus that the building is dog friendly. Would return!
Great place to stay, walkable to many sections of town. Clean, easy to get to. Valet parking was super easy (extra but minimal charge if you opt in). Overall really solid stay for the night.
Nice stay! Great location.
Wonderful location by independence Hall... beautiful apartments... great customer service.. we'd stay there again anytime..... Only negative is parking is pretty pricy--$40 a day
Great location and perfect for our stay!
Nice apartment in beautiful and safe area of downtown Philadelphia right across from Independence Hall. .. reasonable cost We'd stay again but we recognize some negatives: 1) a fair amount of street and neighbor noise. 2) Bed in bedroom is fairly small. 3) pretty limited items- no extra blankets /sheets /towels. 4) hard to figure out and dry clothes in the combo-washer/dryer 5) as in all downtowns parking is expensive- $35 a day but here its quite convenient - right in building
Great location and felt high quality and unique!
I had an awesome stay in the end and would return. Positive: The unit and building were nice. It was very clean. I liked the popcorn and water. Negative: The unit in the booking photo was not at all what I received and no explanation was given. The checkin process was terrible because the system was very slow.
clean, easy to access, great location
Great location, nice unit and building. Had a great time, walked everywhere.
I originally was booked at another SoSuite location, but received a text alert 4 hours before check-in time stating that the location I selected was unavailable due to unforeseen issues. SoSuite worked with me to get me booked at another location so in the end it wasn't a big inconvenience. The new suite was nice and clean and stocked with the things one would need while staying there. A few things to note: the walls are very thin meaning you can hear your neighbors and they can hear you. The living room would be better situated if the couch was where the tv is and the tv moved to the wall where the bedroom is. It would open up the space and prevent your neighbor from hearing what's on the TV. Secondly, the windows are thin and drafy. Being on the second floor you could hear the street noise. At night it would get cold in the suite and unfortunately, the heat didn't seem to properly work. Overall it was a good stay.
Loved the city, place did not live up to expectation and was way overpriced. Positive: It was nice having an apartment as opposed to a hotel room. Biggest highlight was the nespresso machine. Big walk-in shower. Negative: The couch was small, the tv was small, the streaming services were out of sync (sound) due to the poor WiFi, poor WiFi, the old windows allowed us to hear EVERY noise all night long, the bed was smooshed, and the view (that I paid extra for) was into another buildings rear loading dock.
Super clean. Beautiful room. Close to everything downtown. Can’t wait to return
We had a lovely stay at Sosuite. The apartment is just like the photos and it's location is amazing for historic philadelphia. All modern appliances, aircon and a comfy bed. Would definitely recommend ear plugs for the morning traffic noise.
Perfect location right next door to Independence Hall! The layout of the apartment is an easy flow from room to room. Loved it! The kitchen was the best! This apartment, its location made our trip to Philadelphia easy and enjoyable. After a day of walking the city, we came back to a comfortable place to relax. Thank you so much!
Perfect!
Incredible stay. The building was gorgeous and the apartment was extremely cozy. Communication could not have been any better. Would LOVE to stay again.
this was my second stay with SoSuite in the Ledger building, and as before the apartment was spotlessly clean, stylish, and comfortable -- and the location really can't be beat! just a couple blocks to old city, other fun neighborhoods like headhouse square, and to the subway. this apartment was smaller and not as well-equipped as the loft apartment i got last time. this one didn't have a desk (although the little dining table worked out fine for my laptop, etc.) and the bedroom is small and doesn't have a dresser. but it was very comfortable for my 5-day stay, and it's a corner unit with windows looking out on both chestnut and 6th. also it's a little less expensive than the loft. shout out to the people who work the front desk, who are all super nice and helpful, so check in is a breeze.
Positive: loved having a full apartment, especially with a toddler! Negative: thin windows but our sound machine helped!
You won’t find a better location to see Philly history than here.
