A wonderful place to stay in Whitby! Spotlessly clean and very comfortable - really well appointed accommodation in a great location for us. Only a 10 minute walk to the harbour which made exploring the local area very easy. We enjoyed staying outside of the centre so that our children could have some down time and the apartment was perfect for this. The free parking space right outside the entrance also made life much easier! Thanks so much!

excellent place in whitby! Positive: Good value for the money. Clean and comfortable apartment ( we are a family group of 4) Also, I liked how well equipped the kitchen is , it has everything you need. The neighborhood is very quiet, which was excellent for a peaceful rest. Grocery stores and Whitby downtown are about a 20 minute walk.

Very clean comfortable and peaceful flat. Would return again. However did communicate some issues with host :- Only supplied one toilet roll and one hand towel for four adults for a four night stay , this is not enough , messaged host who said they would do a delivery this didnot appear asked again and the apologised but didnot rectify the problem. Also didnot supply any bin bags apart from the ones in the bin again this was not enough would be nice to have some spares left in the kitchen.

The apartment is a lovely, comfortable modern space. It is in a quiet location with lounge and main bedroom looking out over green space and trees, and there is easy access to Whitby.

Save lot of cash on car parking park on site, +free parking disc from shops, 1-3 hrs free parking Negative: No soap or milk on arrival. All mattresses were foam.

Lovely apartment well decorated and furnished with all amenities. Comfortable bed and lounge furniture . Little bit away from where we wanted to be but my fault when booking . Took a while to sort out many keys but eventually sussed them out . Bit of a noise in early hours from flat above ( very heavy footed and very early hoovering ) but on the whole had a pleasant stay at this lovely property . Would definitely reccomend.

Good ,but a lot of walking done ,20mins walk to whitby Positive: Bright , clean modern , well equiped first floor flat on the outskirts of whitby Negative: Not being given the key code till the holiday , key code did not arrive till 10.06 despite emailing and phoning, had previously requested that it only be emailed ,when we phoned up we were 3rd in line , line poor and unable to understand the call handler

Fabulous place for what we needed. Great location and base for Whitby

We had a great family stay here. The modern apartment is in a really nice peaceful area next to beautiful countryside and great walks. At the same time it is a only a short walk into Whitby town centre so no need to use your car. We had a great time. Would definitely go back again.

A superb property in a stunning location with everything you could need for a relaxing stay. Positive: The property was absolutely fantastic, set in an ideal location with beautiful views. It was spotless on arrival and equipped with everything we could possibly need, making our stay comfortable, convenient, and completely stress-free. It's clear that a lot of thought has gone into ensuring guests have everything they need. Negative: The only minor downside was that I personally found the double bed in the master bedroom a little too firm for my liking. However, that's entirely down to personal preference, and I'm sure many people would actually prefer a firmer mattress. It certainly didn't take away from what was otherwise an excellent stay and is more of a small observation than a genuine criticism.

Positive: Location very quite, very spacious and excellent facilities every thing we needed. Negative: No blinds in kitchen and bathroom not private over looking gardens at rear.

Our stay in Whitby was good. The apartment is located in a holiday house with many Airbnbs in a quiet area. The communication with Host and Stay was smooth and too (?) professional. The apartment was clean, tidy and well equipped.

Nice apartment, about 15-20 mins walk into whitby. More or less everything you would need for your stay. Quiet housing estate and apartment block. Worth looking in the welcome pack for information, especially for the short cut route to walk into Whitby

on arrival it became the apartment had not been cleaned rubbish in bins stains on sheets and linen not changed i had to sleep in a sleeping bag and my wife on settee as host was unwilling to give us clean lining at five in afternoon. toilet brush dirty. dust in bedrooms. cleaners came in next day but first impressions had gone by then . been contacting host for compensation or refund since 3 june told me investigation will take 7 to 10 days only yesterday got fobbed of yet again. have all photos to back up my claim absolute shambles

A good location, can access Whitby centre using the Cinder path which is a pleasant walk along the old railway line , quiet and free of cars. The Cinder path also goes inland and the larpol viaduct is a 30 minute walk, stunning views.

The flat was modern and spotless, very quiet and well equipped. Whitby was a great place to visit and the handy location of the flat made it even better. Would definitely stay here again.

Nice peaceful location, had everything you needed, and the hustle and bustle of Whitby was only a 10-15 walk away , and also great location with several other sea side locations not far away 👍

Wonderful Positive: The room was lovely and everything was clean and well organised. it was a really nice place to stay and they was really nice on the phone when we was asking for which room number we was in. It was not a far walk to the centre of Whitby and was in a beautiful area. Negative: the mattress on the bed was really uncomfortable to sleep on, by the 4th day we was aching quite a bit. The mattress also felt like we was sleeping on a slope.

Lovely apartment Positive: It was a lovely clean, spacious apartment in a good location. It was good that it had its own parking space aswell. Negative: We had an issue getting in the apartment as there is a set of five keeps but they're not labeled, and there was two locks to get in and it wouldn't open

Superb. Positive: Absolutely perfect. Lovely decor, layout and amenities. Spotlessly clean and fully stocked with soaps and detergents and equipment etc. lovey peaceful location, but still easily walkable into the heart of Whitby.

Good location Positive: The apartment is well presented and in a good location. The milk sachets and tea/coffee were appreciated. Beds comfortable. Negative: There was dust on top of all the picture frames, shoe rack was dirty, and chrome fittings were streaky. I only noticed these things as I'm a cleaner. Bath was slow to drain. TV could do with updating, freeview box frequently needed retuning.

Had a lovely time staying here. Beautiful apartment - really cosy! Location was perfect, only a short walk to the harbour. Will definitely return 🙂

Lovely break in a lovely apartment. Positive: Great location, nice and quiet. Apartment was very clean and had everything you could need. Negative: Although I was offered an earlier check in for an extra charge on several occasions, I would rather have been offered a later check out and would have been happy to pay an additional fee for this, however, when asked, I was advised that this was not possible.

Only stayed two nights so didn’t really use any of the kitchen facilities as ate out all weekend but the flat was clean, very quiet and suited our needs for a weekend away. A bit further out of town but we are very familiar with Whitby so wasn’t a problem for us. Would definitely book The Sanctuary again.

Had a fabulous time at the Sanctuary, very clean everything as described. Host and stay were great hosts, easy to contact and fast response. The property was in great location, great walks lots of things to do. I would definitely recommend Host and Stay and would use again.

Ok if you don’t want to use what they say works! Positive: It was a nice property Negative: They lied about the oven working. Somebody came out and it just caused all the electrics to go off. I was told I would get a refund for food we had to buy and food we wasted due to the oven and we still haven’t received anything.
