We had an excellent stay in Olivers Den , the house is beautiful and a great location for getting around. It was also really baby friendly (especially the toys cupboard!) - we would absolutely stay again. Thank you!

Great place in Alnwick. Felt like a luxury holiday. Perfect for our two families with young children. Lovely to have a proper dining room and a log burner as well. My only complaint was that the kitchen was not as well equipped as I would expect for a high quality holiday cottage.

Had a great stay at Oliver’s Den in Alnwick as a party of 5 (me, husband, our 6-yr old and in-laws). Spacious rooms, cosy living room and immaculate bedrooms. All that you could need was there. Minutes walking distance to Barter Books. Great communication from beginning to end, very quick responses when we got in touch.

Oliver’s Den was a beautiful quirky little getaway for our family to venture out & explore the surrounding coastline & places of interest. Close to Alnwick town centre, perfect for shops restaurants, pubs, Thursday & Saturday market. Even the castle & gardens were within a 15 minute walk. We will definitely return for a longer stay in the near future. Thank you to the Hosts & owners for making our stay comfortable.

Oliver’s den was absolutely perfect for us ! We were 4 adults and 2 kids who loved the freedom of having the attic to themselves. House was beautifully decorated and the fire in the living room made it extra cosy. We particularly loved how central it was, we walked both days into the town centre and Alnwick gardens. Can’t wait to come back ☺️

We had a great stay in this very well equipped property. A teapot was my personal favourite item - not often provided anymore. Everything was clean and tidy with a thoughtful supply of toiletries and cleaning items. The location was within walking distance of the town and there were shops nearby too. Parking at the house was on a first come first served basis, which was mentioned in the details but worth knowing if you have children or lots to carry!

Lovely house in a great location Enjoyed our stay. We used the house as a base to visit nearby beaches. House is perfect for a family of 4 (with still a bedroom spare) and dog. Even out the log fire on one night, thanks to the UK summer weather. We had a wee issue with the kitchen tap and plumber was out the next day to repair so no issues. The house is a very short walk to Barter books with a Lidl even closer. Great location for getting out and about in local area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We had an amazing time staying at this lovely Airbnb over Christmas! The house was spotless, and you could really feel the festive spirit as it was beautifully decorated for the holiday season. It was the perfect setting for a family getaway. The place was cozy and welcoming, with all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. absolutely lovely homey house in great condition, clean and spacious. Lidle around the corner, Barter books really close by and town/Castle within easy walking distance. A contained courtyard for the dog so she could be outside a bit. The ocal streets not so nice for walking her but some really fantastic walks a short drive away. Was perfect for the weekend or longer.

Great property if housekeeping had kept it clean and I didn’t have to chase management for new sheets multiple times. W Positive: Nicely furnished. Great location. Good for family with dog. Toys available and two good sized patios. Bowls for dog as well. Negative: Was not very clean. Did not have fresh bed linen on beds. Hair and eyelashes found under duvet on multiple beds. Carpets dirty. Dusty. Poor customer service from Host & Stay who manage property.

We were let down last minute by another local air BnB. This place was a fantastic replacement and value. Furnishings like a show home. Ideal for our golf trip. Great recommendations for pubs and eateries…only a small walk. Really made for a great trip - Thank you . Would defo book again !

Had a wonderful stay. The house was perfect - bright, clean, the rooms are beautifully decorated and had everything we needed. The host was very friendly, quick to reply and they very accommodating when we asked to extend our stay. Would happily stay again.

Employees at our company had no complaints about the Host & Stay property. Booked again straight after!

Positive: The accommodation was generous for 6 adults and had all ypu needed for a comfortable stay. The location was good and parking was never a problem.

Highly recommended. Would stay there again. Negative: Host & Stay did not provide details of access to the lock box for the key until the morning of our booking just as we were about to set off. There is no need for it to be so last minute.

Just fabulous! Positive: Beautiful property, great location for town, Alnwick Gardens and Barter Books… the house was immaculately presented with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Parking was easy and there’s a co-op just round the corner. Negative: Nothing not to like…..

Lovely holiday in a perfect cottage. Positive: Beautiful cottage in a perfect location. Lovely comfortsble rooms and well equipped with everything we needed. Host and Stay and the owners responded really promply to a couple of queries.

Positive: A lovely place, spotlessly clean, well equipped, and very comfortable. Despite the messages regarding the wi-fi, we had no issues whatsoever. Negative: A minor thing, a full length mirror would be useful.

Positive: Tastefully decorated, spacious, quick response to messages and queries prior to arrival, great location Negative: Just a few spots where some tlc needed, like the panel on the bathroom, some issues with plaster in some areas, a few cobwebs in corners etc. All quite minor though and the house was still lovely.

We had a lovely stay in Alnwick. The house was amazing and location nice.

The house was very well situated and we managed to park right outside the door throughout our stay. Location was just a few minutes from the centre of town but also quiet and convenient. The property itself was clean, comfortable, and practical without being over- fussy and the space was ideal for the four of us. The pri fault was that for most of our stay the Internet was pretty well unreachable via the property's TalkTalk service. This problem was obviously known to the hosts as there were details provided of how to connect via a mobile network, but this also worked poorly and we gave up trying to use it. As a result, we were only able to watch a bit of "free to air" TV via the mobile network, but this also worked very poorly and we gave up trying to use it. Fortunately, we weren't. relying on connectivity for urgent work away from home so we were not massively inconvenienced, but this would make me reluctant to rent the property again.

Generally an excellent property, good facilities and easy to walk to the main street of Alnwick. When we stayed there were unfortunately ongoing issues with the wifi which sometimes didnt work. The property is managed by a company who werent v. flexible (the property wasnt booked the day we were leaving, but no late check out possible (despite offering to pay for it) with no clear reason given. Outside of these minor points, we would recommend.

Positive: A nice house in a good location. They had made an effort with coffee pods and all the supplies we needed for 3 nights. Only thing that was a bit odd was we couldn’t find a shaver point.

This is is a nice spacious place to stay easily walkable into the town centre. It had everything I needed. The basics like the kitchen, the heating etc all worked well. Parking was easy. All in all, really good place.

Lovely house in quiet residential area. Great amenities close to hand and short drive to lots of local attractions.

Positive: Very homely. Comfortable Negative: Internet wasn't working at the time we were there. Owner was working hard to get it fixed

Positive: Brilliant location with easy access to all amenities. Warm, welcoming and spotlessly clean. Lovely house, well decorated and loved the wee quirky touches throughout. Log burner was lovely in the evening. Bathroom is a great size and lovely and bright. The additional downstairs loo is a bonus too! Easy on street parking right outside. Negative: Didn't dislike anything. A few points - would benefit from a full length mirror. The bed in the 'blue room' is a bit softer a mattress than I would personally prefer. The kitchen, though fairly well equipped, would be even better if pots, pans and cooking utensils were updated slightly. The WiFi isn't great but a lovely note was left from Marie, the owner saying they'd upgraded the router and to call her with any issues - personally, I wasn't really bothered as it is nice to 'digitally switch off' but might bother some folk.

The attention to detail and cleanliness was excellent and the hosts were always available whenever you asked anything which was so appreciated. I just loved everything about this home away from home. I will not hesitate to return here. Negative: Nothing

Highly recommend if needing somewhere to stay in Alnwick. Positive: Location was great - right by Barter Books, a short walk to the Main Street in Alnwick or the castle. Also a nice co-op very close by for anything you forget. Negative: Nothing we didn’t like!

The facilities and location of the property were excellent and I would highly recommend it Positive: The location was excellent to be able to access all of the town and attractions on foot. The house was spotlessly clean and has a full range of facilities. Negative: Some of the doors might need adjusting so they close more easily.

The property in Alnwick is in a great location, 5 mins to town centre and lots of on-street parking. House was good for 6 adults, and is as photos - lots of space downstairs, bedrooms are all a reasonable size, bathroom is large, clean and good shower (plus there is a toilet downstairs). In all, a great place to stay to explore Alnwick and Northumberland.

A lovely place, in a quiet yet quite central location. Tastefully decorated throughout with all the facilities needed. Little luxuries shone through such as the quality of the towels and bed linens and the provision of toiletries in the bathrooms. We loved our short stay here and would definitely return.

Had a lovely stay at Oliver’s Den. Was not for from centre of Alnwick so could easily venture into town whilst also having a quiet home base. Thankyou for a great stay! Would come again :)

Positive: Very clean and well equipped property, comfortable beds. Negative: Toilet seat was not secured and only two hand towels supplied for six people.

Positive: The location. Lovely house with a great layout & loads of space. Beds & pillows super comfy Negative: There wasn't anything we didn't like. Couple of issues...flush on the bathroom toilet wasn't working properly. No tumblers in the cupboards that we could find so drank spirits from plastic cups. Not a big issue.

Comfortable and convenient place to stay. Positive: We enjoyed our stay in this house. The main street is an easy walk away for meals out and there are 2 supermarkets very close-by to get groceries. Barter Books is also just round the corner too. The kitchen was fully equipped and spotless as were the bathrooms. Parking outside the house was very easy.

OLIVERS DEN Positive: Lovely clean cottage .rooms and furnishings were of a very high standard. Central for Alnwick and the gardens and ideal for visiting other places of interest. I.e. Holy Island, Bamburgh, Sea Houses etc..would recommend .. Negative: Should have a notice on the gate to say Watch the step as it was quite easy to miss it .

Well appointed, quality accomodation just outside the centre of Alnwick. Positive: A surprisingly spacious town house located just outside the centre of Alnwick. Sleeps six adults very comfortably and is well provided in terms of facilities. I would definitely recommend. Negative: Nothing. One of the best holiday rentals I’ve stayed in.

Lovely house. Tastefully decorated to match the period; nicely furnished and all very comfortable. On a nice quiet street really close to Alnwick town centre and the castle. The house has everything you need in it. We only came for a mini break but would definitely consider coming back to as it's in a really central place to explore the Northumberland coastal area.

Lovely accommodation. Easy to access from the A1. Close to several shops for groceries. Stroll away from Barters Book shop and a little further to the Castle, Gardens and Lilidorei. On street parking was never a problem and the proximity to the town centre and facilities was a real benefit. Location is in local residential area which was peaceful. House was well furnished and clean. Comfortable furniture and well maintained. The reviews often refer to a damage waiver as a hidden cost but it’s in T&C’s so it’s not unreasonable. Overall communication from Host & Stay was excellent and clear. Really enjoyed the stay and would recommend.

Beautiful & comfortable holiday home in an excellent location, only 2 minutes from a supermarket and the start of Alnwick's main street. Easy to park outside which is always a bonus.

Lovely house & lovely area.

Het huisje was heel smaakvol ingericht. Badkamer, toiletten en keuken waren netjes! Waar ik me wel aan stoorde waren vlekken op de lakens en kussens. Persoonlijk vind ik dat echt niet kunnen. Het voelt dan gelijk een stuk minder fris aan. En de vloerbedekking in de woonkamer was ook best vlekkerig. Wel jammer. Want voor de rest is het echt een leuk huisje om in te verblijven. Ook qua locatie. Lidl, centrum en kasteel zijn allemaal binnen loopafstand.

Really worth 5 stars. We will definitely stay there again Positive: The house was very clean well decorated. The furniture was very comfortable and so we're the beds. We all agreed that Oliver's Den deserved 5 stars. Negative: We didn't have a single complaint.

Lovely quiet street and pretty house, well furnished inside, near to some wonderful places and scenery. We had an issue with a fixture breaking whilst we were there but the company dealt with it well.

House is well situated and close to town centre. It is well proportioned for 4 adults and maybe a bit small for 6 adults, small yard so no garden. Very quiet street and parking was easy
