The flat was exactly as described — we had a lovely time and would definitely visit again. The location is ideal: very central, close to shops and restaurants, and Whitby is extremely dog-friendly. Everything is within easy walking distance. A few suggestions to improve the stay: the TV would benefit from a swivel bracket, and more comfortable seating for four would make a big difference. Sitting on dining chairs or stools without a backrest in the evening isn’t ideal, especially for elderly guests The second bedroom could use a 2nd small bedside table for charging phones and bedside light The property could also do with a bit of a freshen up the paintwork — the carpets would benefit from a deep clean, and the damaged coffee table should be replaced. Lastly, the glazed bedroom door is an unusual touch — good for getting light into the dark hallway but not ideal for privacy. Not everyone that books will be related Maybe add a blind ?

Great location, accommodation tired with faulty appliances and needing TLC. Positive: 1. Excellent location 2. Kitchen immaculately clean 3. Mattress and pillows comfy 4. Spacious and plenty of room 5. Nice shower and plenty of hot water for 3 people Negative: 1. The blinds in the master bedroom don’t close properly and lets in too much light. In fact all blinds are broken and don’t work properly. 2. The washing machine doesn’t work and no power. 3. Mould in the bathroom because the bathroom extractor fan is broken and doesn’t work. 4. Smell of dog throughout. 5. The entrance communal hallway is smelly and dirty and never been cleaned in months. 6. Dust everywhere including the blinds, the skirting boards and some work surfaces. 7. The bed in the master bedroom is incredibly squeaky and noisy. Even to slightly move. The 2nd bedroom is better. 8. Can’t make sense of the vertical glass pane in the door of the master bedroom. It lets in light and there is no privacy as the glass isn’t frosted. 9. The television should be on a swivel so it’s impossible to watch from the couch. 10. The living room doesn’t look like the pictures. There is only 1 orange couch, not the grey one. Also the dining table doesn’t have the benches, there is only 2 chairs for 2 people. 11. The coffee table is battered with it peeling. The reviews have stated this for a number of years. It doesn’t affect the function but is tired. 12. Generally, the whole accommodation is tired and needs painting throughout. 14. Lightbulb not working in the 2nd bedroom on the lamp.

Great location, lack of parking, apartment and furnishings need some tlc. Positive: The location was central, good for everything we needed to see and do. Negative: It was a bit tired & scruffy outside of the kitchen / living room area unfortunately. Standing Lamp not working in one of the bedrooms Could open windows but they would not stay open Property Smelly like wet dog / pets Ad suggests parking but we had to park a mile from property as on street parking is very limited, not ideal if you have luggage Blinds in both bedrooms need repair / maintenance Plates chipped All walls need a fresh coat of paint/tlc Beds squeak every time you move, just outdated/cheap

A beautiful property needing a few extra personal touches Positive: It’s a lovely property, great location and fab the dog could be with us. Negative: It’s missing those little personal touches: nice tea and coffee, some biscuits etc. The flat could do with a deep clean as there were stains in the carpets and old furniture unclean. We couldn’t open the kitchen windows and the WiFi information was completely wrong so I had to get in touch to ask what it was.

Positive: First impressions was good Negative: All the deep dust mould in the shower which was no good for 2 guest that have chronic chest problems

Positive: Great location. Nicely decorated. Especially the kitchen & bathroom. Negative: Coffee table & carpet has lots of marks. Mattresses are not the best. Blinds didn't keep out the light (curtains needed). TV needs an extension arm, so you can see it from the settee. 1 toilet roll is not enough for 2 days for 4 people. Stairs leading up to the apartment are really dirty. The cupboard on those stairs needs a door on. Left our blue badge, it was helpful to load & unload our luggage before parking. Maybe leave it in the apartment & let future customers use it. 1 can stay in the car, while the other runs upstairs to get it. Or, at the very least, use it on the last day to reload their car.

We had a lovely weekend in Whitby. The flat was easy to find, very clean, modern and spacious (there were 4 of us and a dog). Communication with the host was great - always kept us updated. The flat is within easy walking distance to shops, bars, seafront. The only improvement would be more cutlery - two of us had to eat our fish and chips with a spoon! Other than that, everything was perfect and we would certainly come back again.

Lovely apartment, great location, beds comfy - we had a great time! Thank you Positive: Despite the list below, which are recommendations not complaints, we thought the apartment was good. We love the location (I stayed in Apmt Two last year) and we appreciated the coffee, tea etc and our friends stayed in the one above that last year too. Key boxes can be a pain sometimes but this one was all good one thankfully. Negative: Host & Stay emails are long, repetitive and confusing - scroll way down to find "view messages" under all the repeated blurb. There wasn't anywhere to SIT, near a socket and see in a mirror, us ladies like to do our hair and makeup that way. This is the biggest gripe, it is important. You would have to be a giraffe to even see in the lounge mirror! A full length mirror would also be a big bonus and lots do have them now (I come half a dozen times a year) These are things that we think make a massive difference and wouldn't cost much to do, just suggesting.... Put the TV on a swinging arm so it can be watched comfortably from the settee Add an ironing board (thank you for the iron though, we did use it but not great without the board) Small bedside table needed in both rooms (the one in the end bedroom is perfect, metal topped one rubbish) Please put a coloured cap on one of the keys to differentiate them No bread knife and the knife we used desperately needs sharpening We were only left one hand towel, there should be two (one each) Charging for earlier check in is a no go, just send text if can get in earlier on the day (for free) would be great. Comfy, Clean and ideally located Positive: This was an Ideally located apartment for us. It was clean and modern and we had a lovely stay. The sofa and the beds were very comfy and the kitchen appliances were much higher quality than the ones in an average holiday let. There’s a dishwasher and washing machine. Thank you, we had a lovely stay and would definitely book again :) Negative: Seagulls and people walking past were very noisy but that can’t really be helped.

Overall Stay: Mixed Experience The apartment is in a fantastic location - super convenient for local shops and just a short walk to the promenade. The beds were also very comfortable, ensuring a good night's sleep. However, the layout is awkward, particularly in the living room where you can’t easily see the TV from the sofa. The main issue was cleanliness and maintenance. The space feels tired, dusty, and in need of a deep clean. The bathroom was disappointing, with hairs on the tiles, areas of mould, and no extractor fan. There were also safety and functional issues: • Broken blinds in the bedroom • Extremely stiff sash window in the main bedroom that requires huge effort to open and won't stay up, posing a safety risk in a fire. Not a bad stay overall, but we wouldn't return unless cleanliness and maintenance improve.

Get away in whitby Positive: Great location. Excellent apartment had everything you need for a week away. Even though we were only there for 1 night we will book again for longer. Negative: Only thing that needs work is the shower needs unblocking the water fills up too fast and maybe a T.V in bedroom. Other that everything else was great.

A great place to stay in the heart of Whitby. Near to restaurants and the beach . Lovely walks to nearby places. The apartment was very clean and the host was very responsive. We have had a lovely few days there .

Amazing location, managed to park free top of Chubb Hill Road. Bedding clean but metal beds a bit squeaky and internal bathroom smelled musty.

An excellent apartment right in the heart of Whitby. Check in was easy and the apartment was clean and tidy. Be aware that there are stairs up to the apartments, so just something to consider with heavy luggage. The beds were squeaky although they were comfortable and clean. There was also a pigeon nesting outside down the alley which didn’t affect us, but may bother lighter sleepers. Overall, a great stay and would recommend to others

Had a great stay - would stay again as location great ! Positive: Lovely spacious apartment , took my own iron & small board as said there wasn’t one there but there was & a hairdryer I would suggest letting people know they are available , check in & out times were a bit late/early & didn’t want to pay extra for earlier check in/out times as thought we had paid enough , there’s also a washer in apartment which wasn’t mentioned which would be a great selling point! Location fab handy for everything Negative: Stairs leading up to apartment quite dirty & coffee table needs recovering as lots of scratches , chips in it , a bit of fablon would do the job , could do with a proper grill inside oven & some ice cube trays & tongs & scissors adding to kitchen utensils . Coffee perculator was quite dirty with stagnant water in it & dirty towel left on back of bedroom door

Close to pubs/ food and shops. Had a lovely few days, Positive: Location Negative: Not enough comfortable seating when in the lounge. Glass panel door in back bedroom, odd pick for a bedroom door.

clean, cheap overnight stay with really good location. Positive: Great location, apartment clean. Negative: Both beds creaky, scant crockery, and needs a new coffee table as cheap and damaged. Exceptionally (and excruciatingly embarrassingly loud) drunken revellers arriving back late at night. Thankfully only 1 night booked or we would have checked out early. To be fair it would be hard to police anti social drunken behaviour such as we had to endure.

I stayed one of my paid 3 nights and wouldn’t return Positive: The location Negative: The apartment was shabby poorly maintained with multiple stains in the carpets in most rooms, white stains on the sofa. Poor decor upkeep, dirty and cracked crockery, nosy and worse of all a smelly dirty entrance hall.

Very clean, tidy and modern with lots of really useful touches like milk sachets/washing up liquid/shower gel pouches Lovely spacious apartment with plenty of room and light. All towels and bedding were very clean Negative: Other reviews mention the tv needing a pull out/swivel bracket and it definitely could do with that but we got round it by moving the settee slightly in the evening when we wanted to watch a film. The beds are lovely and big and all bedding nice and spacious but the beds do squeak whenever you move so it did keep waking us up in the night unfortunately

If you don’t mind dirty ovens no dustbin have to rearrange the settee no washer or dish washer and soft cheap mattress Positive: It was in a Central position in Whitby once Ed found the place Negative: We were charged a £50 cleaning fee on the final invoice which would be refunded after stay ! Well when we got there the oven and grill had not been cleaned and tin foil left in the oven , there is a bin in the kitchen but no dustbin allocated to the property !! The kettle was descaled , the mattress were fine if you like soft thin ones ! Thd dish washer and washing machines don’t work and the TV was mounted on thd wall but the settee was arranged alongside the wall so you can’t view it !! Also the cleaner on leaving the property after 10.00 am but you can’t enter the property until after 4.00pm !! Contacted Host & Stay who replied that I did not leave any message on there voice mail and after reviewing my demand for the £50 cleaning fee to be refunded refused and offer 20%on a future booking !! So I leave it up to you if you want to book

after sitting on the stairs for 2.5 hours waiting for a joiner to come and install a new lock and let us in, we found the place to be adequate and clean, beds were comfy and kitchen was fine, heating seemed to be pre programmed to only come on for about 1 hour every morning, no matter what we did, the control panel seemed ineffective. It a canny place in a good location.

Negative: As you go up the entry stairs, it is grubby and needs a lick of paint. There is an open cupboard that is covered in dust with a Henry Hoover. Not a good first impression.

Hudsons walk was a great place to stay for a weekend in Whitby, it was close to all the local amenities and the actual accomodation was first class.

this place was in central Whitby. close to the water and restaurants. parking is a problem, but that goes with the town as it's streets are narrow and one way. this was still a great place to stay

We had a great time in Whitby, always do Positive: The location is great. Negative: We have stayed twice before. It is basic, no extra's, no frills (sadly) However, this time we did notice is being a bit tired and the blinds are disgusting, when we closed them we noticed someone has even written "filth" in them! and clearly no-one has noticed or not done anything about it A chopping board is needed The little ironing board is not level and needs replacing The picture of the internet code is still there despite previous feedback that it is incorrect, it wants throwing away or updating The TV needs to be on a swivel bracket to enable folk sitting on the settee to watch it, minimal cost The towels were hard What would it cost to leave a little washing up liquid, it's only 65p for a full bottle A soft throw would be great and perhaps save on heating

Positive: Perfect location and a good sized apartment Negative: Position of the TV gave us a stiff neck, would be better on a different bracket so you could put it on an angle. The blinds in each room didn't open n close properly and the ones in the living area were absolutely filthy at the top....someone had written "Dusty and Filthy" in the dust on each one.

Had good holidays before with no issues but this hooidsy was dreadful and customer care was nonexistent Positive: Location was very good Negative: No heating or hot water , maintenance engineer attended the property and the a gas engineer who condemned the boiler , leaving 4 pensioners struggling to wash in a small sink, relocation was mentioned but when host and stay was contacted regarding this was advised someone would ring back, they didn’t, we ended up cutting our holiday short as the apartment was cold at night and it was a struggle to wash in a sink.

Positive: Great, central location. Near shops, bars, restraunts & harbour. Nice, modern finish. Plenty of space. We parked at St Hildas long term car park, @3minute walk away. £10.40 for 24 hours. Negative: The security key box was extremely temperamental to open. The shower cubicle would benefit from a deep clean, the bathroom radiator was quite rusted and the extractor fan did not work, and as there was no window, there was no where for the steam to go. Only 2 out of 3 people were able to log onto the wi-fi.

Loved the location, the apartment served its purpose but i wouldn't book it again. Negative: There was limited hot water, 2 of us had cold showers. The beds were uncomfortable, not enough storage facilities, the entrance into the building could benefit from a good clean, first impression wasn't very good. This wouldn't stop me from booking with host and stay in the future, the service is very good, just the apartment wasn't for us.

Shoddy apartment. Positive: Location. Negative: Dirty stairs carpet, walls and stairway. Looked like it hadn't been dusted or cleaned in a long while. This was before you got into the apartment. Inside the apartment the coffee table needed to be skipped. Terrible surface. Worktops, skirting, carpets poor. Metal Beds frames creaked when you moved. Blinds with pull strings missing.Part of blind missing in the kitchen. So unable to open. Bedroom window had to be kept open with a pair of sandels. All in all pretty poor. Overpriced definitely. Stay clear.

Lovely apartment.fabulous location Whitby has so much going on . Positive: Clean. Comfortable. Great size. Shower was lovely. Has everything you need. Plus a Fantastic location. Negative: Silly really but the tv isn’t easy to watch from the sofa. But if that’s my only negative then it says everything.

A perfect location for a few days away Positive: The location was right in the centre of town with easy access to everything, there was also a car park just around the corner. Inside was modern and clean with ample space for a few days stay. We didn’t cook in the apartment but the kitchen was well equipped if we would have needed to.

apartment for 4 was lacking in seating. 1 sofa and 2 dining chairs! kitchen was very sparse in utensils, no tin opener, only 1 pan and 1 frying pan, no trays for oven. needs a spruce up with the decor, and the carpets could do with a clean.
