Belleayre View - Paramount Views, Hot Tub & Firepit — Guest Reviews

Our second visit to Red Cottage was wonderful. The deck on a spring day is the best for Apres ski with the stunning views of Belleayre. The location is perfect for skiing Belleayre. But at this price point, it’s fair to expect the hot tub to be cleaned and ready to be used by guests, especially for a short stay. The master bath water temperature is in and out, the shower is tiny, etc etc. At these prices, we expect 4- or 5-Star accommodations and service. But the hosts are responsive, the check in is easy, the space is gorgeous. The views are stunning. And they graciously offer you free Fleischmann’s spirits- a really welcoming touch.

Belleayre View Stay Our stay was delightful. My sister and her husband joined us. Everything was set up perfectly for a ski vacation with my dog. She never did catch that rabbit. The bathrobes and all the amenities (soaps, etc) were a nice touch. Red Cottage kept in touch with us with some maintenance issues. The place is so close to Belleayre and the landscape and everything beautiful. Couldn't imagine a more perfect ski vacation than this. Well more snow but that's not in any one's control.

Christmas Vacation We came up to the cabin for the second year in a row for a ski trip at Belleayre. We love the views and the proximity to the mountain and how cozy the cabin is!

Bonus hill The house was great for skiing at Belleayre, which was just a few minutes up the road. There was plenty of room for a family of 4. The yard was also beautiful. We were lucky enough to have snow on the ground so my son gave my daughter a few basic snowboarding lessons on the hill outside the house. The house was a little chilly, but it was sub zero outside and there were plenty of blankets, space heaters, and the fireplace to help warm the place up (in addition to the main heating units).

Our stay was here amazing! Less than a 10 min drive to Belleayre Mountain for skiing/snowboarding. The cabin was the perfect peaceful getaway! It was clean, well kept, and super cozy! Hot tub was also great after a day of skiing! The owner provides all the information you need for smooth check-in, stay, and check-out! Will definitely be staying here again!

Cabin was great, 5 mins from Bellayre, amazing views & very private, great experience. The only down side is that the interior looks like it hasn’t been updated since the late 70’s/80’s, especially the bathrooms & there isn’t much of a heating system, there’s one main heater in the main room and one downstairs floor but all the rooms have separate space heaters that you wheel out. I would say it took a full day for the whole house including bedrooms to feel warm. Most of outdated interior blends into the cabin aesthetic but once you’re there for a bit you start to notice. In no way is it a deal breaker, everything g else makes up for it.

Would stay here again. Definitely a great space to get peace and quietness as well as Ski.

Unhygienic premises. My husband and 7-year-old daughter caught folliculitis - a bacterial infection from hot tub, resulting in head-to-toe red pus-filled bumps, requiring antibiotics. Management's response was negligent, unprofessional and insinuated we were lying. If you book, make sure to have amoxicillin on hand.

Excellent views and location. Stay was short but perfect location as we celebrated my grandsons first birthday. Home was lovely and warm with amazing Mountain View’s.

House was big and spacious. Perfect for our family of 5. Amazing views. Short drive to Belleayre for skiing. Communication was excellent and the house was well stocked. We would definitely stay again.

We were looking for a quick getaway and were happy that we decided on the cottage. The view was our favorite part. We would gather in the morning and have breakfast outside. The kitchen had almost everything you needed. We found a gondola ride close by and went for a hike and there is a little lake about 8min away. We appreciated the clear communication and also prompt follow-ups. We would love to come back in the fall when the leaves change, I’m sure it will be stunning!

Beautiful cabin situated right in the mountains. Place was very big & very clean. Kitchen had everything we needed. Host provided great hiking and restaurant recommendations. Would definitely stay here again.

My husband and I were looking for a peaceful, quiet getaway and this was the perfect stay. The house was very spacious and had everything we needed. The views were stunning, we enjoyed sitting on the large deck overlooking the mountains. The hot tub was perfect to enjoy on the chilly nights and easy to use. Although we are not skiers I can definitely see the appeal for those who are. We were able to see the slopes from the deck! I highly recommend this stay. It was a perfect spot to get cozy and turn off the outside world for a while. ☺️

Catskill Getaway My wife and I needed a weekend getaway post-Peeper season and this home was ideal. Close to Margaretville, Phoenicia and Windham and tons of hiking options! The views of Belleayre were amazing especially as they are starting to make snow for the season! Hot tub worked great and was hot and ready to go on arrival. Kitchen functional and fireplace great! Enjoyed our stay immensely!

The hosts communications were excellent. When we arrived the place was spotless and welcoming. The WiFi was solid which is good because I needed to attend a few zoom meetings. The hot tub was enjoyed. The bathrobes were much appreciated. We enjoyed the fireplace, the wood burned well. Hope to return again next year.

Festival fun Attended summer festival at Belleyere mountain . House was amazing . 5 min to mountain . Spacious . Great hot tub !!

This was the perfect place to stay for our weekend girls trip to Belleayre mountain. Everything was exactly as expected. We hope to stay again next year!

Great location, fantastic restaurants nearby. Lovely place.

This place is perfect for a private and quiet weekend getaway. My friends and I enjoyed the beautiful views of the Catskills, the fresh brisk cold air and sitting by the fire (indoor/outdoor). The house came equipped with all of our needs. The primary bedroom was large and even had a super nice jetted tub. Keep in mind it’s a SUPER BIG tub so it will take time to fill up BUT it’s worth it!! Restaurant Recommendation: Peekamoose Restaurant $$$- Delicious food, wonderful service and cozy atmosphere! Tito’s Bandito $$ - Great for drinks and apps… try the Hibiscus Margarita! The Print House $$ - We did not get to go here due to other plans but was told by the town and our host this was a great place. They have live music, apps and drinks! Try it out! (Please be mindful the town runs on a different schedule then most would be used too. Look up places and see when they open before going!) All in all, this was a wonderful house and the hosts showcase that easily. We will be back!

Good experience on thanksgiving day vacation

We loved it! The views were incredible and the house was exactly what we were looking for during our weekend getaway trip! We had a group of 8 and there was more than enough space for everyone. We will definitely be coming back again!

Beautiful home with an amazing view. This house and its amenities did not disappoint, but there were a few unexpected issues. First off, the house is in some need of some small upgrades. There were holes in the deck big enough for my dogs paws to fall through (thankfully we didn't have little ones too) and the very heavy rain caused leaks inside of the house. There also happened to be a house being built nearby and they started doing loud work extremely early in the morning, at no fault of the owners, but I would've appreciated the heads up. Aside from that, this property is wonderful and I would certainly stay here again!

The cottage is super cozy with beautiful views. Everything was comfortable for my family of 5. We enjoyed sitting by the fire, looking at the mountains, gazing at the stars, and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen is roomy and it is a great place to relax.

Great property. Super clean, nice appliances, hot tub worked. The location was a nice spot to get out for hikes. The WiFi did not work for our stay so hopefully they can get that working again.

I rarely leave negative reviews and didn’t expect to in this case. I was a very respectful guest throughout my stay—understanding about not being able to check in early, taking excellent care of the home, and willing to pay for a late checkout on the final day. A major East Coast blizzard arose, making it impossible to leave the driveway Sunday for several days. To avoid being stranded, I departed early Saturday afternoon and requested a refund for Sunday. This seemed reasonable since I checked out before my Saturday 2/21/26 stay even began and the request was only for one day due to extreme weather. Unfortunately none was given, despite clear communication. That was infuriating after being a cooperative guest who planned to return and recommend the property. I would still welcome speaking with the owner if they are open to resolving this. Otherwise, the lodge itself is exactly as shown and a wonderful retreat.

Cabin was beautiful! We had such a wonderful stay that we didn’t want to leave. It was exactly the experience we were looking for.

Everything was perfect for our two night stay.

Beautiful location! It's very relaxing and peaceful, uphill about 1.5 miles from the main Route 28 so it's quiet. The home is very comfortable, especially the couch and king bed. The listing mentions no A/C, but there's actually 3 mini split units that work great. The hot tub was nice and relaxing. Full bathroom on each of the 3 floors is convenient. If you need supplies, there's a CVS and small supermarket about 10 mins away. We'd definitely stay here again!

Unfortunately, we do not feel the cost of the rental is reflected in our experience. Several maintenance and cleanliness issues left us disappointed: • The dishwasher was broken during our stay and there was no drain rack for hand washing. The kitchen is missing basics like a good salt and pepper shaker and coffee filters (we've since purchased some and left them for the next clients). • Windows are dirty and window screens not cleaned. • The hot tub was dirty and not properly maintained, making it unusable during our stay. The maintenance person very kindly cleaned and added chemicals to it, but the chemical fumes made it unsafe. • Black mold is visible on the master bathroom skylight, which raises concerns about health. The jets are not working in this bathroom's Jacuzzi. • Basement bedrooms and bathroom smell of a mold issue. On top of this, they now want us to pay for a wooden table on the deck which was broken before we arrived, likely because it is rotting.

We loved the house. The house was spacious with a beautiful view. The kitchen had everything you could need. The hot tube was a bit dirty. The BBQ was also a bit dirty and could only be lit with a lighter. We will definitely be back. The host provided quick and accurate answers and information.

Spectacular views from the wrap around deck at Red Cottage. The location was very private and peaceful. The kitchen was large and had everything you need to cook anything. The house was clean and comfortable. The WiFi was very good. The hot tub was relaxing. The hosts were very responsive. We very much enjoyed our stay and look forward to returning again.

Great cabin in the Catskills Overall the property was fantastic. The Red Cottage group was incredibly communicative and responded quickly to any messages. The views and the property were great. The cabin did have a couple of pest issues, but they quickly responded and apologized. The hot tub wasn’t cleaned and there were no supplies for the fireplace aside from wood, but it wasn’t a huge issue and we were able to buy some supplies in Margaretville. Great location, very quiet and tranquil, just some minor issues overall.

Enjoyed a nice Columbus Day weekend Even with some rain for two of our 4 night stay, we had a great long weekend. The cabin was very comfortable and the view can’t be beat!

Welcoming Home We had a wonderful weekend stay at this home. It was welcoming, comfortable, and cozy even for it's large size. We had plenty of room, it was very clean and beautiful inside and out. The owner's communication was clear, concise, and very responsive. I look forward to staying here again soon.
