Intolerably noisy. Do NOT stay here This new-build has ZERO sound deadening. The basement apartment has a locked stairwell behind a door leading to the main floor apartment and the sound carries so strongly that it might as well be in the same room. Both nights that the main floor apartment was occupied there was a loud group that partied and socialized late into the night. The sound - of their footsteps, conversations, music, banging, laughing, everything - pervades the basement apartment. They came in late (after 1 am) both nights and socialized until 3am and it was impossible to sleep in the basement apartment. This place needs a major renovation rethink for the basement apartment to be usable - insulation on the stairwell and probably wall to wall carpeting with insulation on the main floor surfaces. I was kept up half the night both nights and could not wait to leave. The host offered me earplugs when I was paying C$475 a night to stay there. You will regret staying here
