Stayed three nights in this AirBNB, it was as described, clean, spacious and had all amenities in the listing. The bed was comfortable, and the BNB was cosy with extra blankets. It was also a very walkable location with lots of food options and access to public transit. Jaxon, Alice and Brandy were very responsive, helpful hosts.

Amazing spot to stay in downtown hamilton

Great hosts! Communication was excellent, and the check-in instructions were incredibly clear and detailed. We especially appreciated the photos, which made finding the property and checking in very easy. We had a comfortable stay overall! One thing to keep in mind is that there is a fairly steep set of stairs, which was a little challenging with a large suitcase, but definitely manageable. Overall, we really appreciated the hospitality and would happily recommend staying here!

Great location. Lots of amazing restaurants and walkable. Go train also is only 5 minute walk. Had a great stay while visiting Hamilton.

Positive: Great location and price. Great communication with the host. Negative: Unit 1: Cockroach was found in the washroom coming out of the wall! The host said "that they never had any complaints about this issue and that they would investigate as soon as possible." Upstairs unit was loud at times during the night. Ear plugs were provided which was useful. The unit is located right at the top of the stairs, so you do periodically hear people coming and going.

The location is good. Jaxon and Alice were absolutely fantastic. Communication was amazing. The place was as per the photos. The only issue was that it was noisy with the people above and close by. You can hear every move and everything that they get up to, to the point that it meant we didn't get a good night's sleep.

Decent place. Very poor soundproofing so could hear conversations / music / TV from the person above me the whole time. Sucks that they don’t post pictures of the apartment that you actually get, since the one I ended up with only had 1 window. Otherwise fine.

This was our second time staying at the apartment. We love the location for exploring downtown Hamilton. There are great restaurants within walking distance.

We parked the car and walked everywhere all weekend. This is a perfect location to be in the thick of things, with great restaurants literally downstairs, and clubs close by. With all the food options, we never made much use of the full kitchen but for longer stays it would be perfect. The Waterfront Trail is gorgeous and a ten or fifteen minute walk from the apartment. The hosts were very helpful and responsive by chat. We will be back!

Great location and a nice spacious flat in an old historic apartment building above main street shops. We didn't cook (just ate breakfast there) but kitchen has everything you need to prepare meals. We were in apartment which faced rear alley, so a bit dark. No noise from street but there is a bit of noise (a hum or drone) from restaurant HVAC system (we assume). It did not bother my husband, but even with ear plugs in it bothered me. I would stay again, and do recommend this place. Host was very prompt about dealing with a couple of maintenance items. As everyone else has said, fabulous location.

Great spot right downtown, you’re basically right where everything is happening. The place itself was super clean with a really cozy vibe and the hosts were awesome and quick to reply whenever we needed anything. Would definitely stay here again!

Very nice little small cozy place great for a night get away

Great for a weekend or short trip. Staff was AMAZING!!! Very responsive and super helpful. Based on staff 11/10!! Positive: The kitchen was lovely - certainly larger and better equipped than a typical airbnb. Negative: The bathroom has no counter space for your hairbrush or toothbrush. The shower was tiny and the shower curtain was aggressive.

Super sweet. They like to keep in connect during the stay; but never overboard, only to make sure things are doing well.

George's place was as described and seen in the pictures. The host was so responsive and nd instructions easy to follow. I like how they even showed videos for check in and check out. That was helpful. There were so many options for restaurants, with even a pizza with gluten free option right across lodging and a diary+gluten free ice cream not far from the place. Parking was a bit challenging but mangeable. There were some questionable areas when I took a long walk but I felt safe within the vicinity of lodging. It was nice to see restaurants having outside sitting for their cutomers. The area was relaxing and inviting.

Space is clean and nice with charm of the old building. Pictures didn’t match the space exactly. Odd smell in apartment mainly in front hall/bedroom area Bed and mattress is uncomfortable needs to be updated and the couch is a leather futon that is uncomfortable as well. Place needs minor updates - toilet roll is falling off wall Very loud upstairs neighbours stomping on floor late at night as well as dog barking waking me up and can hear everyone coming up the stairs during the evening, host provides earplugs but I don’t want to have to sleep with earplugs. Overnight parking is not close - 9 minute walk away so that’s inconvenient although they mention in their listing I didn’t realize how far overnight parking was. Hosts were very responsive and so nice they answered in a timely manner about my concerns. Neighbourhood has lots of nice restaurants but also a lot of very unwell people around.. I spent a week there but would have liked things to make it more homely for my stay.

As a single person the space was bigger than I needed, easily handle a couple and kids. It was well appointed, but for a larger group a few more glasses, plates would probably be welcome. Instructions on entry were easy to follow, easy to get into. Apartment was quiet, despite facing a busy street. Very clean and comfortable. Air con was a big plus. Great communication from hosts. A tight fit to get into shower, no issue for me but people with a mobility disability might find it awkward. The Surrounding area has a number of great coffee shops and restaurants plus a couple of good pubs and a brewery all within a few minutes walk. I'd happily stay here again.

Jaxon and Alice were great hosts . They tried to accommodate any extra needs that we had and communicated promptly. The place is budget friendly and has everything you need for the stay. This is my second time staying in this building and will surely stay again in future.

Very centrally located but in an area that is not the best. The lock and check-in instructions were confusing but fine once we figured them out.

Jaxon and Alice were extremely helpful and communicative hosts, and our stay at their place was a positive one. It's a perfect location to access many downtown locations and explore James St. The beds and bathroom are not luxurious but will meet the basic needs of someone just looking for a place to stay. We certainly also appreciated the powerful air conditioning, as well as the very easy check-in process and how communicative the hosts were. Many thanks for the stay!

Beautiful apartment. The hosts made sure everything was clean and set up prior to our arrival. The apartment has various kitchen appliances such as kettles, whisks, bowls, coffee maker excellent for people who plan on cooking/baking. Overall very pleasant experience only note the bed is a bit uncomfortable and moves around a lot.

Jaxon and Alice's place was great! Vey close to many wonderful local restaurants, very clean, beautifully decorated and had all the essential items I needed. Hosts were very responsive and flexible with me needing to extend my stay for a few days - Very seamless check in, check out and communication. It was very clear that Jaxon and Alice take great care of their place and their guests. The guestbook was a nice touch as it gave clear video instructions on how to check in, lots of suggestions and recommendations for things to do during my stay, and a whole lot more! I would definitely stay here again and recommend this place to anyone looking to stay in the Hamilton area!

Nicely located on James st. I enjoyed the neighborhood and short stay at Jaxon and Alice's. It can be a bit loud, but there are provided earplugs. The apartment was quite clean and had everything you would need for a short stay including a kitchen.

unit was easy to find.... older building character, steep entrance stairs, lots of amenities both inside and out. Yes as per ad bathroom is snug. Enjoyed my stay. Would stay again.

Such a beautiful location right in the heart of Downtown Hamilton, really gave me a new perspective on the steel city. Such a wonderful stay at George’s Air BnB. Well kept kitchen, living room, bathroom, & bedroom. I would give this location a 10/10 if I could.

It was the perfect place to stay after a concert with so many little shops and restaurants that were <10 min walk from the apartment.

Positive: The comfortable furniture.. there was alot of.good lighting and everything was exceptional and clean. Negative: The area.. they say now that we can't keep my bike inside the apartment but the first night we stayed there my friends bike was stolen from right in front of the apartment. So I couldn't risk loosing my 1300.00 dollar brand new pedal assist bike.. also I didn't like raw fact that they took my deposit now saying there was damage done. We noticed there was something wrong with the. Island in the kitchen area. It was on four small pieces of plywood and both sides were loose and eventually going to come loose. Sure enough that Is exactly what happened . I am not exactly sure if that's the 100% reason we lost it yet but I'm sure it is ...I knew right away that it's either a.money grab or that we simply just had bad luck being there when this happened. Also the cleaner that came the first night was very rude. Evennthini had simply told her that i had just spoke with the owner and re booked and she just wasn't having it. Other then this it was a great place to stay for a weekend.

My partner and I stayed here for a wedding nearby. It was very convenient and easy. We wished there was a closer spot for overnight parking that wasn’t 30$ but no fault of the owners, they are very open about not having parking.

We were looking for a place close to Hamilton General Hospital so we could be nearby during a family member's stay. Jaxon and Alice's apartment was in walking distance of the hospital, was conveniently located to parking and lots of restaurants and amenities. The apartment is clean, had everything we needed, and the hosts were very responsive and helpful.

Good value and great for short term stay

Jaxon and Alice's place was as pictured and in the bustling centre of Hamilton. It was clean. There was nothing "wrong" with the place, but it could have used a lot more to get to 5 stars. We were traveling with two young kids (family of 4) and there were only just enough towels and bedding to make it work. 4 towels, 2 blankets. The pull out couch needed a topper to make it comfortable for anyone but a young child, but there was no topper. The shower could barely fit me, much less my 6'2" husband. The bed was pretty comfortable but I was worried it was going to break any time my husband moved. We woke to the sound of people walking above us at 3am. We had to pay for parking in a lot behind the building, which was not clear in the listing.

Overall, this stay was far below expectations, and I would not recommend this property to other travelers. Positive: The unit we received did not match the photos in the listing. It appeared to be a completely different unit. The dining chairs were unstable and wobbly to the point that we could not safely use them. Negative: If you’re writing a review or dispute message, here’s a polished version: Our stay was extremely disappointing for several reasons. Parking Issues There is no dedicated parking provided. We received two parking tickets despite paying for parking because the private parking company has its own rules that were never clearly explained. Although we paid for 6 hours of parking, vehicles cannot remain in the same spot for more than 2 hours and must be moved approximately 60 feet. Municipal parking also requires vehicles to be moved by 2:00 AM to avoid tickets. As a result, we spent over $300 USD dealing with parking-related issues during our stay. Privacy Concerns When we arrived, the weather was cold and rainy, and we were traveling with a 6-month-old baby. The heating was not working at all. After contacting the host, we were informed that the building management controls the central heating and that nothing could be done. We requested a space heater and were told none was available. The next day, after being out all day, we returned to find a space heater inside the unit. To our surprise, someone had entered the apartment while we were away. When I contacted the host, they confirmed they had entered to drop off the heater. We were never asked for permission, nor were we informed beforehand. Entering the unit without coordinating with guests is a serious privacy concern. Noise Issues The unit is extremely noisy. A portable air conditioner is installed with a vent through the window, allowing outside noise to enter constantly. Street traffic, conversations from nearby bars, and general city noise can be heard throughout the day and night. The building itself is old, and you can clearly hear people walking on the stairs, opening doors, and even televisions from neighboring units. Misleading Listing The unit we received did not match the photos in the listing. It appeared to be a completely different unit.
