SunDestin Resort Unit 1805 — Guest Reviews

My wife and I wanted to get away to ring in the new year. We've stayed at the Sundestin resort before, so we thought we'd give it a try. They were doing some major construction on the property, but it wasn't that bothersome for us. The room was nicely appointed, and the view was incredible. The bedroom was a little tight, not much room to move around. The property is located right in the middle of all the action, with restaurants and attractions close by. Whenever we make our way back to Destin, we'll try to get this room again.

Family vacation This was our first full family vacation and this was the perfect place to do it. We definitely plan on coming back and staying a couple days longer the next time.

Everything was great about our stay! Minus the pots and pans in the kitchen. Everything we cooked stuck to the pans even with non grease spray, butter, and oil.

We had an amazing stay at SunDestin!! the check-in and check out process and communication from the owner was flawless and seamless! The property where the condo is located at is under major aesthetic renovations, and so there was always a strong spell of paint and construction products around the property with some added expected noises, but otherwise the property was great with easy/safe parking. The condo itself was spotless and clean and was well furnished for our needs with an absolutely beautiful view on the top floor of the property which was my wife’s and I’s favorite part! The only mild complications with the property was that the icemaker didn’t work and the washer did not drain/spin automatically when we washed our clothes; other than that it was flawless and as described! We would definitely recommend this property and the owners for anyone wanting to stay in the middle of Destin or within 30-45 min drive of 30A where we spent the majority of our time there!

The condo was clean and as described. Location was great. Sun Destin was under construction while we were there so we had to maneuver around a lot of mess but that wasn’t any blame to the condo owner.

Don't get me wrong its a beautiful view for this room but due to lower angles of pictures and photo positions I thought it was a bit larger. I was often having to slide by my partner. It's clean and has a beautiful view. The view is really what you are paying for. Also a brief mention of construction. listing mentioned "some parts may be under construction" most of the building was under construction. not much of a problem. they didnt operate at weird times so wasn't a bother but definitely misleading.

Had a nice relaxing weekend with a great view of the beach. Positive: Location. Great view of beach. Clean spacious room. Negative: Not much not to like.

The place was nice and clean! Although they have construction going on it was still nice, quiet and relaxing. The best part about it was overlooking the beach being on the 18th floor it was beautiful

Tv in living room didn’t work well !! No main light switch in bedroom, just lamps! Bottom of stove ( broiler ) was hung up and didn’t close properly! Love the balcony and view !

Great unit The unit itself is very nice. The parking for the condo building sucks. It fills super fast and you have to park across the Hwy down the street.

Our favorite room yet. We’ve stayed at the SunDestin a few years now and this was our favorite room yet! Great views, updated room, and everything we could’ve needed. Construction is still on going, but never bothered us a bit. I would definitely recommend a stay at the SunDestin, specifically room 1805

Excellent Vaca We loved the condo. It was clean and the view was amazing. The only thing I can say is the mattress needs to be replaced. We loved having a washer and dryer. The whole week was so amazing. We will be back

Nice place Construction wasn't too great and scary but the rest was beautiful. I'm sure once they are done it'll be fabulous!

Condo number 1805 Condo was nice and clean very comfortable. Great view, the washer and dryer were a plus.

Beautiful condo We loved the view and decor of the condo. Very clean and welcoming. The washer/dryer was a great bonus. Would definitely rent this unit again.

Our stay at SunDestin Cons: The refrigerator constantly rattled. There was a folded piece of paper under the corner to keep it level. The TV screen kept flickering . We talked to the front desk about it and 4-5 hours they replaced it. Biggest con was the remodeling during our stay. The noise and the convenience of pulling up to the front door to unload and load was not there. The amount of parking being taken up by the construction crew. More than a dozen emails before our stay there was not one comment about the construction. When I asked about the noise and moving to another room they said they didn't have any other rooms to move to so they offered us a discount on the room. Pros: Had a great view from our room and the beach was nice and clean. Enjoyed the walking and the friendly people on the beach.

Great Stay We had a great stay, everyone working was very helpful and kind. The room was very clean and comfortable. Gorgeous views of the beach. Comfortable bed. Spacious shower. Overall a wonderful experience

Gorgeous ocean view We enjoyed our stay. Condo was as expected. Very clean and convenient. The staff was very friendly upon arrival and easy to reach by phone when we had a few questions. The beach access was perfect. One thing we missed was that the chair and umbrellas rentals can be done online saving a long wait in line. They have rules about bringing your own umbrella- you have to keep it behind the chair/umbrella rentals. You can however bring your own chairs and place them wherever you like. Even though the resort was crowded we had no trouble getting an elevator or a spot in the sand. People were very friendly. My only complaint was that the unit smelled of smoke when we arrived (probably from a previous guest) but it aired out quickly. Might consider replacing carpet in the bedroom and getting a new mattress. We had a great trip!
