Beautiful home and gorgeous setting. Loved the layout and open, light filled environment. Great all around.

My girlfriend and I’s stay at the cabin was very pleasant for the most part. I will say, the abundance of messages we got before, during, and after our trip, were a bit instrusive. I appreciate the organization, but after sending the exact same message multiple times, it was a bit overkill. I was also not a fan of the contract we were required to sign outside of Airbnb. We had some issues with hot water & water pressure. We chose to have someone come fix it after we left, as the downstairs bathroom was okay with hot water. It’s in a prime location, Roscoe is so gorgeous (especially in early fall)! The large windows of the cabin are so perfect for looking at the foliage. A big highlight was the indoor fire place, we loved cozying up on the couch after cooking dinner in the wonderful kitchen. We had some visitors (spiders) in the upstairs bathroom, but for being in the woods, it wasn’t too bad critter wise. Great location and landscaping as well. It was a very nice weekend getaway!

We wanted to have a winter getaway from the City. The house is beautiful and secluded. It was ideal for peace, quiet, and relaxation. The windows allowed us to have a beautiful view of the snow covered trees. The driveway is long and off of a private road so we were able to let our puppy romp around off leash in the snow. He had a blast and it was fun to play in the beautiful, clean snow (unlike the gray slush in the City). We bought food at a large grocery store in Liberty, NY and stayed in most of our week-long stay. The kitchen was nice and had a lot of supplies. We had a few issues with the internet connection and a short power outage (about 3 hours) due to the weather. But, the hosts were very responsive. Overall, my husband, dog, and I had a very nice stay.

We had a mixed experience at this house. Pros: The location is beautiful, very secluded, and surrounded by woods, making it peaceful and quiet. The driveway was cleared of snow on arrival, which we appreciated. The living room is spacious, and the beds were very comfortable. There is also a lot of wildlife on the property, which is nice if you enjoy nature. Cons: Communication with the host was difficult. We were required to sign an agreement outside Airbnb that did not fully align with Airbnb’s terms. Although the host told us that the differences were a mistake and Airbnb policies would apply, check-in details were withheld until we signed, which felt unprofessional. The fireplace fan was nearly broken, and no chopped firewood was provided as shown in the photos. Heating relies only on AC units, which were not sufficient at 5°F. Cleanliness and maintenance were lacking: there was black hair on bathroom mats/floors, the blender was broken, and the couch was fair dirty and worn out.

When the driveway was super icy, Portoro Homes was super responsive and quickly called to get the driveway shoveled and sanded for our safety. We wanted a private and serene experience and that was exactly what we got at a price cheaper than expected!

The house and place was great but the management of the property is unfortunately not matching the quality of the space. I’m not going to details everything here but it was overall very stressful (the worst : receiving a call 1h before checkin from a platform to let me know that my booking was cancel due to « weather condition » and receive as an option another house not at all the same level and 1h from the place. Of course I refused this option)

Truly one of our favorite Air BnB properties we’ve stayed in, the home was great value, even more beautiful than in the pictures and all the amenities and finishes were as listed or better. Highly recommend… if you’re considering you won’t be disappointed!

This was our second stay at the house and we look forward to our third! Spacious, bright, serene, and the host was responsive and helpful. Terrific location for those looking to hit Roscoe, LM, Callicoon, etc. Great spot!! 10/10

Super cute cabin

We had a wonderful stay! All amenities were provided and home was super clean and well stocked. The location was gorgeous and private. The home was even better than the pictures (and those were nice too)! Space was comfortable for us as three adults and one child. The kitchen was fully stocked and the laundry was very helpful to have. Would highly recommend this stay. Communication was also very responsive and helpful!

The house was beautiful, modern, recently renovated, and very comfortable. It had everything we needed to cook, and the beds were super cozy. The location is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and perfect for relaxing. We would have given a 5, but the power went out one night and we didn’t have heating until the next morning — it got quite cold, and a few extra blankets would have helped. We understand the power outage was out of anyone’s control, but it might be helpful to have more blankets or firewood available in case it happens again. The hosts kindly suggested using the fireplace, but there was only one piece of wood and it was quite late to start a fire (plus we’ve never done it before). Other than that, it was a lovely stay.

We had a great stay. The house was beautiful and comfortable. The location was very peaceful but it was also easy to get to the nearby towns for great food and hiking. Will definitely try to come back!
