Wildewood - Modern, Fireplace, Luxe in Stowe — Guest Reviews

We had a great stay here. Our group of 6 adults and 2 kids all really enjoyed the trip. The location is excellent and it’s just a few minutes from the Stowe lifts, which made our ski mornings really easy. Plenty of comfortable space for everyone.

Had a wonderful stay. Plenty of room for our family of 4 and another family of 4. Kids had a place to be and spread out while the adults were able to get dinners ready, enjoy some adult conversation and unwind. Place was immaculate and had stunning views. The location was just a few minutes down the road from Stowe Mountain and had a spacious garage to accommodate all of our items when we were done skiing for the day. Had to get in contact with Red Cottage and we were answered within a 1/2 hour. Super friendly and wonderful to speak with. We are planning our next vacation again next year.

We stayed at the Wildwood propery for five nights just before Christmas. Wildwood is a new property in a subdivision of like townhouses in a secluded location off the Mountain Road, about 2 miles from Spruce Peak. Great views of the Vermont landscape from the great room. The unit is very well appointed and features an attractive gas fireplace in the greatroom. The bathrooms are luxuious with marble and tile. Red Cottage, the manager, is highly responsive. Beds are comfy. There is a home theatre in the basement with reclining movie theatre seats. This was a big hit with my chidlren. We had access to a spacious garage which was welcome in the cold Vermont weather. Overall we woudl rate this home 5 stars and highly recommend it. We have rented many homes in Stowe, and this is one of the best.

Great property, house is beautiful and as pictured. Had a family trip here, 4 kids (5-7 ages) and 3 adults. We all fit comfortably, would note that a bedroom is in the basement and we didn’t want the kids too far from us at night. Wouldn’t be an issue with older kids and adults. Layout of the kitchen/living area was perfect, great movie room, and den near the kitchen was great for kids and adults to socialise separately whilst being next to each other. House is right by a creek which the kids loved, it was very quiet when we visited, other houses nearby were not occupied but it felt safe and secluded. Hosts were very responsive and couldn’t be more helpful. Would definitely stay again.

Beautiful home in a private community but close to downtown Stowe and all the July 4 activities We really enjoyed our stay!

House was lovely. Community had a lovely natural backdrop but lacking in some of the amenities you would expect from luxury type property. The home interior was immaculate and spacious with bright lighting and plenty of supplies. Host was highly responsive. Overall an excellent property if you are looking for clean, comfortable, and responsive hosting.

We absolutely loved our stay at Wildewood. The house is beautiful, spacious, and thoughtfully designed, with the perfect combination of modern comfort and cozy mountain charm. It was ideal for our family, with plenty of room for everyone to relax, a wonderful kitchen and dining area, and great spaces for the kids to enjoy, especially the den and home theater. The location in Stowe is fantastic—quiet and peaceful, yet very convenient to the mountain and everything the area has to offer. The house was clean, comfortable, and very well equipped, with so many thoughtful details that made our stay easy and enjoyable. We especially loved the fireplace, in home movie theater, the outdoor areas, and the overall warm and welcoming feel of the home. We would highly recommend Wildewood to anyone looking for a beautiful and relaxing stay in Stowe. We would be very happy to come back!

The house was exactly like the description and pictures. Modern and updated. My family loved the theater room! Location was perfect for skiing at Stowe (less than 10 min drive) and quick drive to town. Overall it was a good experience and we would stay again.

We planned a ski weekend with our family and decided to stay at Red Cottage. The location was ideal. The house was beautiful and so spacious. Every room was beautifully decorated and super clean. The kitchen was equipped with all necessary tools and amenities. We look forward to staying here again in the future.

The stay would have been absolutely fabulous if we didn’t have the leaking ceiling in the downstairs bedroom. Say it changed our afternoon plans, caused us to rearrange bedrooms, clean sheets and it was disruptive.

Amazing spot. So close to stowe, very modern house. The heating is good, everything is good. Just pay attention, if you put the address to google map, it actually has 2 locations. and you may go to another complex taht is 15 mins away. Just double-check the map's surroundings.

The place was great -- highly recommend for a trip to Stowe. The place is clean with a great kitchen and living space.

Wonderful place to stay!

The host was very welcoming and incredibly responsive. Always responded to my messages timely & thoroughly. The house had everything we needed and more. It was stylish modern clean clutter free and very cosy.
