Beautiful spot for a restorative weekend! We had rain most of the weekend so having a cozy spot to play games and do a puzzle was the perfect recipe. Sun came out on our last day and the shoreline is breathtaking. We absolutely cherished our time here. Highly recommend.
Wonderful early Fall visit to Door County. We enjoy this area of Door County, because it is quiet and still has easy access to the rest of Door County. We had a wonderful stay here. The property was very clean, the beds were comfortable, and the views! Beautiful fire on the beach. Lovely coffee in the morning with the wind and waves. We would definitely enjoy staying here again. ENJOY! ( If you ever stay here, you will understand that).

New construction. Quiet. Comfortable beds. Good water pressure. Well stocked kitchen. Tons of mosquitoes and 5+ mosquitoes would literally hitch rides on your clothing into the house! They were relentless. Couldn’t enjoy the beach without being attacked. It was insane, so we mostly hung out inside or went to the local towns. 2 smoke detector batteries were low and linked, so at 2am ALL of the smoke detectors went off. Found the trash bins in the woods near the street, after looking for them under the deck, as instructed. They have some kinks to work out, but all in all, it was a good stay.
The Resting Place was just perfect. House was beautifully designed and decorated. Plenty of room for 5 of us. Beds are comfy enough. The 3rd bedroom with the futon isn’t perfect for older person but would do for youngsters (30s or younger). View at the lake was awesome. The whole place was great. My mom, aunt & uncle were all impressed. We had a great time.

The place was exactly as described…clean, nestled in some trees with a short walk to the water. Beds were comfortable and the layout of the home is very conducive for fellowship. Would highly recommend if you’re looking for a quiet resting place away from the crowds.

Truly a Resting Place We were so fortunate to book this property at the last minute the week before Labor Day weekend. This is a most beautiful comfortable home with lovely decor and all the amenities we could need. Then there is the property located right on Lake Michigan with a rock filled beach (my favorite), picnic table, comfortable chairs, a chair swing and fire pit. Quiet, peaceful and simply beautiful. Thank you so much. We love Door County--hiking, being outdoors, eating great food. We hope to return to The Resting Place.
Great stay! We had an wonderful stay at this property, which exceeded our high expectations. The property is situated right next to Lake Michigan, offering breathtaking views and a serene atmosphere. The house itself is charming, with a lovely, cozy little kitchen, a comfortable living room, and three well-appointed bedrooms. Everything was well-maintained, and all the tech, including the Wi-Fi and TV, worked flawlessly. My wife, our two children, and I felt right at home here. The location is ideal for those looking to escape the hustle and bustle but still want access to amenities when needed. It’s just a 15-minute drive to Sturgeon Bay, where we found plenty of great restaurants and shops to explore. We really appreciated the peace and tranquility of the area, combined with the convenience of being close to town. Overall, it was an excellent stay, and we would definitely return for another visit.

Relaxing stay Nice, new, clean house with an open layout. Loved the design and decor. Lots of windows and a balcony looking out onto beautiful, wooded property, as well as a view to the lake. The house had everything we needed, in a great location. The grounds were very peaceful, natural, and quiet. Beach had great views of the shoreline and lighthouses.

Clean, Quiet Sanctuary We enjoyed every bit of our stay here. The house was very clean, well furnished and well stocked with the amenities needed for our stay. Any concerns that we usually have staying at a rental are not a concern here. The linens are new and fresh and the pillows and beds were comfortable. All of the necessities in the bathroom were provided and were fresh and new. The kitchen was outfitted very well if you enjoy preparing your own meals. The location is in a quiet neighborhood, but the commute to many of the attractions was only 10-20 minutes depending on where we were going. We didn't need much communication with the owner, but they replied to our one question almost immediately. Would highly recommend and will definitely try to stay here again when we return in the future.
