Amanda and Brix's place was exactly what we needed to enjoy a couple days with the family in Bobcaygeon. The place was clean, spacious and perfectly accommodated 5 of us, including our dog. There were no signs of pet hair or pet damage, which isn't always the case with pet friendly Airbnbs. Check in and check out instructions were very clear, and Amanda and Brix were incredibly responsive and accommodating. We would definitely stay at their place again.
This place is just not worth it. even if they give it for free. Positive: Absolutely nothing Negative: Everything. Misleading description - there was no AC at the property and they didnt have that mentioned in their description. Misleading pictures - the house is not exactly what it looks like in the pictures. also the pictures are highly edited. the outside of the house is not what you see in the pictures but instead theres an alley which goes in and the entrance is from there. Cleanliness - the house was dirty, there were huge spiders and spider webs across all corners. the floors were dirty in a lot of areas AND there were ants/insects on the bedsheets. Horrible communication - They were in replying and picking up the calls in the first hour, as soon as they realized they couldnt help me, they stopped picking up my calls and replying to my messages. no help was provided and for 2 straight days my family was hopping around different places to grab a place to sleep as the whole town was booked apparently. Overall the most horrible experience i have ever had at a vacation, and the worst property management to ever come across.
Great Place in Bobcaygeon for families! Right by the river and close to all the local shops. Highly recommended !
Large, clean space with comfortable beds. Good communication and response from the hosts. A few small appliances ( coffee machine and kettle) did not work and the apartment was warm on a summer's evening ( ceiling fans and fan were helpful). Great space for a large family that needs accommodation in the area.
Place needs a total redo including staircase that leads to accom, kitchen needs dish washer and pots that can cater for 4 to 6 people as the accom does. Floors are uneven and difficult to walk if any ambulation issues existing. The staircase leading to the accom needs some serious work as don't feel safe when going up or done especially in the winter. Door to accom opens directly on to the staircase so navigating balance and first step difficult. Having to take out own rubbish with no instructions where to leave. We were told off by ?neighbours NOT to put rubbish where we had seen it, but walk to roadside. Overall good money for little services. only upside really were the comfy beds and linen provided. Some microwave cookware would also be appreciated.
Wonderful place to stay while on the road. We had to add an extra day to our week, and they were fast to respond, and it was very simple to do. Thanks Amanda and Brix. Would absolutely stay here again if in the area.
I was very impressed with the setup and the decor of the apartment. It was very convenient to be steps away from the bridge and the main street. Was very grateful that it was pet-friendly. My dog was very comfortable. One thing I would recommend is to add a light in the walkway to the apartment. It was very uncomfortable to be alone walking between the two buildings in the dark.
This is a great getaway apartment surrounded by beautiful scenery and right next to great shops and restaurants! The space was huge and very comfortable!
I believe we were one of the first people to stay in this unit, and it was beautiful. It was much larger than what we needed, but the price was amazing for what we got. The unit has been beautifully renovated, and it is very clean and simplistic in design. While there is no air conditioning, there were enough windows to open and fans in all the rooms to create a nice breeze, and the overnight temperatures made it very comfortable. There are a few things that were listed that we did not have or could not find, but nothing that made our stay unmanageable. The bed was very comfortable and made it that much easier to rest in an unknown space. We were close enough to the town to be able to walk everywhere and could see the canal locks from our unit. I would definitely recommend Amanda and Brix’s listing for anyone looking to visit Bobcaygeon!

Host was very helpful and the unit had everything we needed.
Honestly can't say enough. From them being understanding about us being delayed due to weather and road closures, to answering our questions and getting a plow to clean the lot so we could park after a massive snow storm, there was communication the entire time. The apartment was clean, warm and had everything needed. I highly recommend these hosts and their property.

Loved staying here, the views were amazing, very clean, lots of space. We did wish there were a few more comforts of home, particularly in the kitchen but we made do and know to bring more stuff for next time.

We had a great stay! The apartment itself was bright, spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, including the beds. The location couldn’t be better: super walkable to shops and restaurants, and the view was beautiful. It was also nice and quiet, which made for a relaxing stay. The hosts were kind, patient, and very responsive, which we really appreciated. The only small downsides were that the building looks a bit rough from the outside, and there was a lingering smoke smell (likely from a neighboring unit). When we arrived, the heat wasn’t on, so it took a bit to warm up the space, and one of the bathroom windows didn’t have a covering, which made it feel a little exposed. Overall, it was a lovely apartment in a fantastic location with wonderful hosts. We recommend it for anyone visiting the area.

We loved this accommodation. We would only recommend a blind or shutters for the bathroom window as it faces a window directly across from another building. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay there again.
Very clean, walking distance to shopping and restaurants, quiet area. Would like to see curtain in bathroom and table/storage for toiletries. No toilet paper holders

The place was spotless and fit our needs perfectly. It was in a good location and easy to walk to the main town. View was nice from both front and side of the unit. One side was the canal and the other the quaint town square. Only challenge was finding the alotted parking space which was down the street. However Amanda got me there with a specific link. All other instructions were clear and easy to navigate. Overall great stay. Clean and comfortable.
Cozy spot for a staycation near Bobcaygeon! Place looked great in pics and delivered. Only downside was no AC, but fans and coolers helped. Would recommend for a relaxing getaway!
Excessive heat ruined our stay. We felt unit must have been designed by a man Positive: Not applicable Negative: Lack of air cond. way too hot! Bathroom had no toilet paper holder, no towel bars or drawers. Nowhere to hang wet towels. No counter on which to place toiletries, in spite of the fact there was room for a very large counter area. Made no sense! Shower floor extremely treacherous. Needs mat. Bedrooms should have a surface area to place suitcases, and not just on the floor, and a chair would be nice. Wi-fi only worked if a central light was left on! Once light was turned off, no more wi-fi! All three kitchen windows fell out. Very startling! DW didn’t work. Lots of lovely products for us to use - thanks. People should not be asked to remove their shoes at the lower level shoe rack. It’s quite dangerous to go up and down those stairs in stocking feet. Signage from the street needs a huge improvement. It’s quite difficult to find the property with just 36-8. All in all, we all felt like we were being treated like children, with the myriad of instructions from you. And finally, the reservation system was far too onerous and complicated, especially for older folks without computer knowledge. I hope this critique is helpful. The place could be quite lovely with the above improvements.
This space is located within walking distance of the downtown area (restaurants, shops), the Kawartha Dairy (ice cream) and fishing locations. It was clean, spacious, and comfortable. A great location overall.
Great place! Really great place to stay! Easy to find (with the instructions provided), clean and great communication with the host! My suggestion would be to ad AC for the cost. It was quite warm and uncomfortable for sleeping during our stay but that doesn't bother everyone!
REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE FOR HOW HOT WAS ALL THE APARTMENT Positive: decorations Negative: No AC i think that can install windows or portables AC the house was very Hot, all the Heat was horrible you can’t even sleep well and they only have this fans on the ceiling there’s some thermostat that make you think that apparently the house have AC Dishwasher doesn’t work Blender Doesn’t work there’s No Hood and when you cook you feel all the heat REALLY BAD EXPERIENCE FOR HOW HOT WAS ALL THE APARTMENT.

The place was the same as in photos. Great location. Calm and peaceful. Close to lots of restaurants and the Bobcaygeon beach park. Amanda as a host was quick to respond and really clear with check-in instructions. Would definitely recommend

We enjoyed the comfortable beds and spacious private apartment. Lots of natural light! The bathroom includes a very nice big shower, while the ensuite is small but sufficient. It was quiet in the evenings. We struggled a bit with no towel racks or curtain in the otherwise nice main bathroom. Also, there was cigarette smoke from what I think was the unit below; not great for someone sensitive to smoke. The hosts were quick to respond to questions.

Amanda and Brix place was a godsend as a last minute booking! We had booked another Airbnb which turned out to be too dirty to stay at. We were scrambling to try to find somewhere else to stay in the dark/pouring rain. We came across their place, were able to instant book and were checked into their spotless place within 30 minutes! It was very convenient, comfortable and most importantly clean! We spent two nights and had a great time. They were very good at communicating. Thanks so much for getting us out of a jam!
Had a great time in Bobcaygeon!! Positive: Location was great Negative: The first impression of building was very sketchy. Apartment itself was good. Needs more lighting going into apartment. No hot water in little ensuite off bedroom. Most of plugs didn’t work. Wifi only worked if you left light on in dining room. Apartment was very clean and served our puropse.

The unit was large and clean, however the listing should have more clearly indicated that this is a second story unit. The stairs leading up to the unit were steep and the motion sensors don’t kick in until you’re halfway up or down so there were some safety concerns. The bathroom also has an uncovered window that directly faces another unit’s window. Otherwise the unit was nice and the location was great.
Amanda and Brixs place was perfect. It is in a great location, walkable to many shops,restaurants and parks. The kitchen had everything you would need to cook. The entire place seemed newly updated and eas very clean and comfortable. Would definitely book here again. Thank you
