We had a wonderful stay at this cozy cottage. The cottage was warm, charming and very clean.
The location couldn’t have been better. We were just 20 minutes from skiing, and after a full day on the slopes, it was such a treat to come back, unwind, and then head out again to explore the nearby restaurants and little shops. There were so many great dining options close by — cozy spots with amazing food and that classic New England charm.
The host was very helpful and responsive when we inquired for information.

We had a great time at the Red Cottage! It was in a convenient location though it was a little far from the downtown so not completely walkable but still on the Main Street, a 5 minute drive to the center of town. I will note that since it is on the main road, there is some traffic noise and there aren’t many places to easily walk the dog right around the house, unless you drive to one of the many parks and hiking trails. Overall house was great! We really appreciated all the tissue boxes around the house, something we always complain that other airbnbs are missing. The kitchen was also well stocked in the appliance department! The big couch comfortably fit all four of us.
The beds were a bit firm for my taste but that wasn’t a big deal. Manchester is so dog friendly too which was great. The Northshire Bookstore is a must visit, we went twice! And our dog got many treats there and around town. Overall this house is in a great location and a wonderful base to explore southern Vermont.
Host was very gracious and responsive to all our questions. House has a great layout, kid friendly. We had a great time. The area is beautiful.
Great place to stay!
We are frequent visitors of Manchester, so we are familiar with the area but this was our first stay at Winterberry Farmhouse. Our normal locations were not available and this was a great choice which also provided walkability to town. The house was very clean and comfortable, looks just like the pictures and has a great, comfortable space for TV watching. While we encountered a minor issue with a cranky smoke detector, Red Cottage was responsive in helping us work through it. Great weekend!
I highly recommend the Red Cottage for your Manchester VT stay! My family and I spent a long weekend here and the location was great! Close to downtown and surrounding attractions. The space was perfect for a family of 6!
Picture perfect home within an easy walk to town. We were in town for a horse show and stayed here while at the show. Honestly one of the nicest Air BnBs I’ve ever stayed at - super clean, updated and modern. We loved the comfortable bedrooms and relaxing living room. While we didn’t do much cooking at all at the house, the kitchen was very well stocked. Thanks so much for a wonderful stay!

This is a beautiful home that was extremely comfortable. Everything was immaculate and many things seemed brand new. Information and communications were quick and helpful. We thought it was a perfect place to stay and loved the house.

We had a wonderful stay at Red Cottage's Manchester home. It is clean and well-stocked with the necessities. It's such a comfortable home. It is so convenient to town and close to the mountains for many outdoor activities. We would definitely stay here again.
