We had a great time at this beautiful house. The furnishings and decor are thoughtful and lovely, the view is stunning and the house is enormous yet still feels cozy.

Absolutely wonderful stay! The cabin was beautiful, peaceful, clean, and the perfect setting for a relaxing mountain retreat. Everything was comfortable and thoughtfully prepared, making it easy for our group to settle in and enjoy the weekend. The Mars Hill location was quiet and private while still being close to hiking, scenic drives, and other outdoor activities. We loved the fresh mountain air and the chance to unwind after exploring. The hosts were exceptional—extremely responsive, attentive, and helpful throughout our stay. They answered our questions quickly and consistently helped us whenever we needed anything, making us feel genuinely welcomed and well cared for. The cabin was ideal for cooking together, relaxing, and spending quality time as a group. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a memorable North Carolina mountain getaway. Five stars!

We had such an amazing time at this cabin! It was the perfect spot for our group, the place is huge with plenty of space for everyone to spread out, and the views are absolutely breathtaking.The accommodations were spot on. They really thought of everything we needed, from having extra towels for every guest to specifically providing towels for the hot tub. Parking was a breeze with plenty of space for our group, too.The hosts were awesome,super responsive and gave us some great local recommendations that we really enjoyed. We even hosted a private yoga session right in the living room because the space was so open and comfortable. If you’re planning a group trip, I couldn’t recommend this place enough!

Overall the property was good, but several neglected maintenance issues that were not addressed before we arrived and nothing done after we arrived and notified VRBO. 1. Video game joystick was broken, but advertised as functional, saw this on a previous review also.2. Grill was dirty and full of used charcoal…not cleaned up3. Not enough silverware. 5 forks. All knives were dull and nothing to sharpen them.4. Refrigerator shelf broken.5. Several lights not working throughout the house.

We had a wonderful stay and would absolutely stay again! Kylie was very responsive and helpful. The location was perfect and is a very short walk up to a HatleyPointe ski slope (black run). The cabin was spacious and clean. We really enjoyed the hot tub after a long day of skiing!

The Skybox is in an excellent location! Our party - 6 adults, were very comfortable in the size of this cabin each couple essentially having their own space on their own floor. We spent evenings in having home cooked meals in the kitchen that was fully stocked with everything you could need in the way of pots/pans/dishes/crockpot/glassware/silverware, etc. Loved having access to a dishwasher so that we did not have to do dishes by hand when on vacation. The host was very responsive to any message we sent, and even allowed early check in at no extra cost. Hatley Pointe seems to be very up and coming, posh/luxury atmosphere, and while the weather wasn't great skiing weather when we were there, we will definitely return.

We really enjoyed our stay at the skybox. The cabin was spacious, clean and peaceful. The host was in constant contact which was appreciated. If we visit Asheville again we will definitely book the skybox.

The SkyBox was amazing for our weekend with 2 families of 4 with children. We loved the layout, views, stocked kitchen, and game room. The fireplaces made it feel so cozy and the hottub was so nice after skiing at Hatley Pointe. We only had to bring food and drinks and the house had literally everything else we needed. Thank you for a great stay we will be back!

We love the location and views. The cabin was comfortable and had plenty of space for 10 of us. There was also stuff for our baby (crib, pack n play & high chair) which was wonderful. The charcoal was missing for the grills and one of the games downstairs was not working properly but not a huge deal for us. We loved our home away from home for the week and would highly recommend! Hope to visit again!

Elliott and Kylie's cabins in Mars Hill, NC are amazing! The view was lovely and the amenities were a lot of fun. We had a blast hanging out, playing air hockey and billiards. We also enjoyed the hot tub. Overall, would recommend to anyone looking for a mountain retreat! 10/10.

The Sky Box may have the most beautiful view of any Airbnb's we've had. The younger guests enjoyed the air hockey table and hot tub and the privacy of being able to watch tv in the downstairs living room. The kitchen was fully stocked and we literally didn't need to bring anything to cook! We day-tripped to Mars Hill and Lamar Alexander Rocky Fork State Park for pictures. Small town quaintness did not disappoint!

Our stay at Elliott and Kyle's place was absolutely magical. I wish we had more time there just to relax and soak in the view from the patio. The only downside we had was that the air hockey table wasn't working, but that is really it. The stars were beautiful at night and the sun rise was calm, cool, and crisp... especially with a cup of coffee. We would definitely stay here again!

My family and I had a wonderful time at this place! The place is clean and feels homely! Only downside was that they required a non refundable deposit after we already paid for the Airbnb. It might be listed somewhere on their listing, but I didn’t see it.

The Skybox was the perfect cabin getaway. The mountain views were beautiful from both decks. The property was exactly as described. Kylie and Elliot placed very thoughtful amenities throughout the home that made our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Our family will definitely be returning.

For a place that has strict checkin policy and non refundable damage waiver, it is not very clean to begin with and smaller than in the pictures. Although the host was very responsive and tried to address all our concerns but the place had several issues. It would have been beneficial if someone checked for issues before hand. The thermostat had disconnected wifi and we couldn't regulate temperature as it can only be connected using the app for which we don't have access to. The downstairs TV and the main light in the living room didn't work at all. The lock for upstairs bathroom and for the master bathroom was not working and we had to play some songs to let the other guests know that the bathroom is occupied. We originally planned to cook dinner on the day of arrival since in the list it was mentioned as having a full kitchen but the none of the utensils were in usable condition, one of them had some kind of animal poop. We bought new utensils to use in the next day and left there.

Incredible view of mountains (had our coffee and cocktail there morning and night). House was clean, comfortable, and perfect for our family. Could not have asked for any better! It was stated clearly in description that 4wd might be needed and I suggest you have a strong engine or 4wd to get up the mountain (my camry was not made for mountain driving, but she made it). We hiked, tubed, and enjoyed all Asheville area had to offer in the summer. It is a bit of a drive to some locations but coming home to that house was worth every minute of driving. We saw flying squirrels and a bear while we were at the house too! We already miss it!

We had a wonderful stay in the NC mountains in Mars Hill! The view was absolutely stunning…such a peaceful and beautiful setting. The house itself was spacious, clean, and full of natural light, which made it feel so open and inviting. There was plenty to keep our teenage kids entertained throughout the trip, which made it enjoyable and relaxing for everyone. We would definitely love to come back again!

We stayed at this mountain cabin for our family’s annual summer vacation, and it was absolutely perfect. The views were breathtaking—waking up to the mountains each morning felt like a dream. The cabin was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We spent our days relaxing on the deck and enjoying quality time together. It was peaceful, quiet, and the ideal escape from our busy lives. We’ll definitely be back next year!

This is a great spot! I would book again. We were in a bind when we booked, due to power outages in the area and they were quick to help us book. My only negative feedback is the additional verification and fee they add before confirming the booking. Guest have to go off site and pay an additional $50. I think they should end that practice.

Excellent location for Hatley Pointe!

Its not the ski in-ski out that is on the title but it is less than a 10 minute walk to the slopes. Made the day go by so much easier not having to drive. There is a path across the street to a blue slope.

House needs a little tlc The main road to the property (ski valley) closes on occasion. The road you have to take when ski valley is closed is in poor shape. Parts of the road is falling off the edge of the mountain in places. I would not suggest arriving after dark. The listing also states that you could park a trailer or RV at the house. I am not sure how you would get an RV or trailer up to the house.The house itself could use a little TLC and a DEEP CLEANING! The comforter in the primary bedroom smelled dirty. There was dust all over everything. The floors were dirty. The dishes, utensils, and cookware in the cabinets were dirty (Food still on them). Hair in the towels.New mattresses or mattress toppers are needed. The beds were so hard even our kids were complaining that their neck and backs hurt. We actually left a night earlier than planned because we wanted a good nights sleep and could not on those mattresses. The hosts sent multiple messages to me about leaving a 5 star review. However, there is no way this house deserves a 5 star review.

Beautiful cabin! Lots of space, lovely fireplace, very clean, updated kitchen appliances. Loved the hot tub as well! We stayed during a snowstorm, which was a wonderful place to get stuck. You do need a 4WD vehicle to make it up the road with any inclement weather. We hope to come back!

The Skybox is just as beautiful as the pictures posted! We were lucky enough to have a full day of snow our very first day and it was breathtaking! The space in the house was great even for a large group like we had. Plenty for the entire family to do within the cabin. The hosts were extremely responsive and the rental management team was quick to help us get an alternative route when the main road was closed to the cabin.

Great views, comfortable Location was good, 1/2 hour to Asheville. Beautiful views. Comfortable beds, nice game room. Needs updated kitchen utensils, glasses, cups, etc.

Wonderful Winter stay We had a lovely stay at the Skybox and definitely plan on coming back! We might bring our own baby gates next time so we have a little extra baby proofing and peace of mind with our 1 and 3 year old. The gate that was there didn’t work well and wouldn’t stay up. The view was beautiful and the house was perfectly clean and organized.

The view is stunning, the location is very convenient and the hosts really care. They have built a lovely space that brings people together and accommodates a great time for all, kids and adults. We traveled to the Biltmore estate a few days, did whitewater rafting and the cabin felt like a cosy, peaceful place to come back to. We leave rested and rejuvenated! Thank you Kylie and Elliot 💕

The Skybox was a relaxing break for our 25th anniversary. Great mountain getaway with the seclusion we wanted, but still accessible via paved roads. Reasonable drive into Mars Hill and Asheville for restaurants and shopping. High speed Internet was consistent. Game room was a welcome amenity during the couple of rain showers during our stay. My spouse really enjoyed the hot tub on the lower deck at the end of each day. Sunset on the deck while staying here was amazing! We would consider booking again for a small family reunion in the future, as the two of us only used part of the space during our stay.

Beautiful home! Extremely well stocked with amenities, conveniences, and activities. Great service too, quick responses to questions. The wifi signal is weak some of the time but that’s just a consequence of the mountain location. We loved our stay.

This was a very nice place to stay, the hosts were helpful and communicative, and we had no problems.

The cabin was immaculate and well stocked. They truly thought of everything that might be needed for an extended stay. The views were incredible, and the home was very cozy! It’s not really a complaint, but there were Echo Dots in the kitchen and basement. My husband was up late watching tv one night when the one in the kitchen gave a verbal notification (he didn’t make out what it said). Personally they didn’t bother me much, but he was a little unnerved by it. My opinion is that it is someone’s home, and strangers are staying there. I have various Alexas and Blink cameras in our home. If strangers were staying there, I wouldn’t have them on/armed, but I wouldn’t remove them either. I’m sure the remote rentals go through periods of vacancy and it’s probably a tool they can use to check in and make sure no one is squatting illegally. We would absolutely stay here again. It would be an incredible location for fall foliage! Definitely a 5 star experience!

Our second time at this property. So well stocked. The smoker is great. The views are stunning. The hot tub is amazing. Hosts are so responsive. They have salt and pepper so don’t buy any!

Our stay at Elliot and Kylie's cabin was amazing! First of all the communication with Elliot and Kylie was impeccable, they are friendly, responsive and proactive. The cabin is a beautiful place, fully equipped with everything you need for your stay. My family loved staying in this spacious, clean and beautifully appointed house. It was a nice and relaxing getaway! We’d love to come back again!

Horrible rental management Too many keep pad boxes at front entrance, makes it very confusing on where you actually have to put the code. The air hockey table was broke, the house was not cleaned. The “hot tub” guy came the following day to fill the hot tub up. Communication between homeowners and the rental place they use is not efficient. The manager of the rental place was extremely rude and unfriendly. No one would come help us with the check in process as far as which keypad we were supposed to use. They refuse to refund anything or help in any way. Very disappointed in my stay. Let’s just say I’m glad to be home.

This house was gorgeous and had lots of space for our family of 4! It was so nice that the host provides a crib, pack ‘n play, and even toys for our toddler and infant. Photos don’t do the house or view justice. Elliot was very responsive leading up to our arrival. We had trouble finding the home because of road-closures, due to a snow storm. The ride up the mountain is steep, so I recommend arriving while it’s still light out. A few cons: there was no coffee, only hot chocolate k-cups, and a lot of the towels/linens were covered in long black hair. Because we were snowed in, we didn’t reach out to the cleaners about this. Last, there was an Amazon Echo plugged in. While I was searching the kitchen for coffee, a man’s voice came onto the speaker and asked “are you looking for food?” We unplugged it and reached out to the host who said that it’s just a music speaker. Maybe it was a fluke, but it left me feeling uneasy the rest of our stay. All in all, it was a fun & beautiful home.

I stayed at the SkyBox for four days with a group of friends. Although there was no snow during our stay (we were hoping to see snow), we had a lovely time. The cabin is very cozy with a well-equipped kitchen, a fun game room, and a hot tub. So, in addition to exploring (walking/hiking) nearby the cabin, we did lots of fun stuff inside. We were a group of 7, and felt pretty comfortable given the size of the cabin and the number of rooms and bathrooms. Would 100% recommend it!

My family and I absolutey loved our stay here at the Skybox! Elliott and Kylie are wonderful hosts. They really poured their hearts into their cabin, and it shows! It is gorgeous. The cabin is immaculately clean and has everything you can think of. The beds are extremely comfortable, which is especially important for us when traveling. We really enjoyed the game room, the hot tub, and most of all the stunning views from both lower and top decks! The drive up to the cabin is beautiful and peaceful. Cabin is in a great location, and there are trails you can access right behind it, which we also loved. There are lots of waterfalls, hiking trails and scenic views close by, along with so many other fun activities that are family friendly and also great for a couples getaway! We fell in love with NC and created the best memories. Highly recommend staying at the Skybox. We already miss it so much and are looking forward to visiting again soon!

I always tend to write positive reviews for any stays even if we experienced minor kinks, but would want to highlight certain facts that apply to this rental. First, this is managed by a rental company and not by individuals listed as hosts. I've stayed in several AirBnb's and I felt that warmth lacking with this cabin. Though the cabin has nicer views, I'd say it isn't particularly great just right after fall which is when we traveled. The closest place where you could find the stuff you need is a good 25+ min drive from the cabin, so consider that before booking, esp. if traveling with kids. We decided to alter/cancel our reservation after staying there for a couple of days (clearly based on their cancellation policy), but the policy wasn't adhered to by the rental company which caused us to lose our money as we only stayed 2 out of 4 nights we booked. Though I'd not recommend staying away, I'll recommend reading the fine print.

Wonderful! The cabin was very clean, comfortable and had a beautiful view. The lurched had everything we needed and the games kept us entertained. It was exactly what we expected from the pictures and description. The host was very quick to respond to questions. I would recommend this home hands down!

We really enjoyed our stay at the Skybox. The views were immaculate, and there was plenty To do in the cabin from Pac-Man to foosball. It is the perfect getaway for family, friends and especially accommodating for children. We will definitely be back .

The view was amazing! The cabin was spacious and the outdoor area makes it perfect for larger groups. The game room and hot tub were some of my favorite features. The appliances were nice, clean, and modern. The smart TVs and WiFi allowed us to connect to our favorite streaming services and made us feel right at home. This cabin is located at the top of the mountain and at a dead end; so it’s more private than other cabins in the area. The cabin was exactly what we expected based on the description and the host was responsive during our stay. I would stay here again.

Our stay at The Skybox was unmatched. The views from the lower and upper deck were perfect for both a cozy cup of coffee in the morning and for a relaxing dinner watching the sun set over the mountains. There is plenty to keep yourself entertained in the cabin as well, from an array of board games to video games and air hockey, you won’t want to leave the cabin during your stay! The hosts were excellent and eager to answer any questions big or small. We will definitely be coming back soon!

We absolutely loved our time at the Skybox! It was the perfect house for our family (4 young children) and we felt so cozy & at home. The decor was gorgeous, and the hosts thought of everything you could possibly need. The game room was by far my children's favorite part! It rained (and snowed) our whole trip, but we didn't even mind because of the amazing game room- fully stocked with fun games, a cozy couch & huge tv, and so many great toys for our younger ones. The hot tub was also a huge hit for those chilly evenings. :) We made so many beautiful memories here, and hope to return next year!

Great home with magnificent view. Everything was as described. Good place to enjoy with family or friends. The only thing was missing is the wine glasses.

Amazing Views This house was great for our 2 families with kids. Game area was a hit along with the hot tub. It was nice weather weather, so we just left the back doors open and let them run around. Rooms are great size along with the bathrooms. Kitchen was stocked with all the necessary cooking equipment. We did have black bears come every night due to the trash cans not being bear proof, this was throughout the neighborhood though. This was pretty cool but maybe should be have a warning. We loved it and would definitely book again!

Great stay! Great location

This was the best AirBnb we have ever stayed in. It was just my husband and I for our anniversary and we can’t wait to go back with our friends and family. Our favorite thing was the deck with the spectacular views, swinging chair and the hot tub! We didn’t want to leave! The trek up the hill to the unit is long and steep but the views make it so worth it. You can get to Asheville in about 25 minutes. We loved our experience there and also enjoyed nearby Mars Hill and Black Mountain. The bed was super comfortable and we also enjoyed the air hockey and video games in the lower level. Kylie and Elliott were super quick to respond to questions. I can’t recommend the Skybox highly enough. Such a great place!

We can’t say enough good things about this cabin! The views are absolutely spectacular and the peace and quiet of the mountain neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for. Amenities and space were exactly as described, and honestly, the pictures don’t do the home justice! Elliott and Kylie were fast to respond to any questions we had, which was helpful and really appreciated. We will definitely be back!!

We enjoyed our stay and the Skybox. However, we had a hard time getting back to the house on the second day due to the paving of the road to the skybox. When we left we were told the road to the street would be closed for paving. The alternate route given did not take us to the house. We had to plead with the pavers to let us drive where they were working, to get back to house. There is only one way in or out. This put a little damper on the day. We were told all area owners were notified of this prior to the paving. Had we known, we would have chosen another rental location in Mars Hill or changed our dates for this rental. The view from the deck of the Skybox is spectacular and changes while looking at it. This is a great rental and road paving doesn’t happen all the time.

Great place! The cabin is fully stocked. Good enough for anyone to bring their family. You can do your laundry, cook and grill and bake, enjoy the hot tub, watch TV and all of this when you’re not enjoying the beautiful outdoors.

Gorgeous home!!! Very clean and peaceful environment with a beautiful view. Definitely a perfect place to go for some R&R. Elliot and Kylie were fast to respond if I needed anything and super sweet. The house had everything we needed and then some 😊.

Our trip was wonderful! My children said this was the best vacation yet. The house was wonderful! The kitchen was fully loaded and had everything we needed to cook and to clean. The space was just right. The scenic views were amazing and we seen every sunset and sunrise! We even had some unexpected visitors! A momma and baby cubs came to visit! I can not say enough about our hosts. They were amazing and their instructions were spot on. I am looking forward to booking with them.

Our 5 star experience - As we were driving towards the cabin, we had received messages that the AC was not working and they were working on getting it fixed. We decided to delay our arrival, being a hot July weekend & we had 3 'snub-nosed' dogs with us. But, when we checked in 4 hrs later, with temperatures around 85-90 degrees on a hot July weekend., the AC was still not operational. The AC tech who arrived after we did and did his best to try to get it working could not due to situations beyond his control. We had to figure out quickly what our next steps were going to be. Elliot's support team were so nice to speak with us, apologize and were able to figure out an alternate cabin in the same mountain - 3 mins away from our original spot &helped us get relocated. Though the alt cabin was smaller, it made for a much better stay !. We would like to thank Elliot, Kylie and their support team for coming through and figuring out a solution when everyone needed it the most !

What a great house with the most beautiful views! We loved that the house wasn't over furnished. Very private location but easy to find and not bad at all getting up the mountain (in May). Loved all the natural light in every room. The kids had a blast in the lower level with the air hockey table and arcade games. We appreciated the plethora of bathrooms in this house! Many ammenities here :)

This is a great place. We had a blast of winter snow, hiked up to the top of the ski mountain and around the beautiful area with fantastic scenery. We had younger kids with us who absolutely loved the game room. The host was responsive and the house was kept extremely neat and clean.

The Skybox, north of Asheville, was a fantastic getaway for my family. Marketing matched reality which is what we all want in this sort of deal! Abigail was super-responsive throughout our stay, with both proactive communication and responding to a few questions I had. The place is peaceful at the end of a cul-de-sac which added some nice privacy. You are literally a few steps (upward) from the slopes of the ski mountain. We visited in the spring after skiing was done, but we hiked the slopes for our first-day 'get to know the area' and that was a perfect reminder to my body and brain that I was not at work anymore! The place is clean and well-appointed. The kitchen had everything we needed (and more!) The views match the photographs. The game room was perfect for the whole family (ended up needing to limit my son's time on the arcade ;) This felt more like a friend just let you crash at their place rather than a rental (the overall feel was more-generous) Would definitely stay again

This house was fabulous! Loved the decor and all the organization. Super nice to have extras like shampoo, hair dryers, laundry detergent, etc. The space was perfect for our group, and we especially enjoyed all the toys and games since we had children with us. Would love to be able to go back again in the future!

Best mountain getaway!!! The Skybox was perfect for our long weekend getaway. It is an easy drive to Asheville but secluded enough to feel like you got away. The cabin is decorated perfectly and has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Gorgeous views, relaxing hot tub, fun game room, this place had it all! We will definitely be back!

Relaxing and Family oriented Enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the quality of the kitchen equipment as well. Was hoping to enjoy skiing but we’re too late in the season, but the ski in/out is a real draw. Beautiful views and sunsets. Clear night and lights out provide a fantastic view of stars.

From the views to amenities to the cleanliness to the location, this place is exquisite!!! Highly recommend and we will absolutely be back!!!!
