The Red Cottage is a beautiful historic house. The beds were comfortable, lots of bathrooms, and the decor was tasteful. My group stayed here for 3 nights with a baby and a dog and while we had a lovely time together, a lot needed improvement. Our first issue was at check-in. The house is in a wooded area on the mountains with absolutely no cell service. The code provided did not work. The WiFi password in the welcome guide was also incorrect and we were stranded in the cold unable to contact the host. We had to get wifi from a local restaurant, but it was eventually resolved. The biggest issue was the fridge. It was not working for our entire stay. Due to the holiday weekend, they could not get a technician to fix it. We had to get ice and place it in the fridge to avoid our perishables from spoiling. However, the host did give us a reasonable discount for our troubles. We enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen, hot tub, and the spacious common areas. It’s also 15 mins from Hunter Mt.
