We had a beautiful few snowy nights here between Christmas and New Years. Highly recommend! Lots of comfortable couch zones, very generous kitchen to cook in, lovely lighting throughout, cosy fireplace, incredible views in every direction. The beds were very comfortable. This is a lovely space to come to with friends as you can really stretch out and relax. This is a special place. Can’t wait to return!

The Barn at Doodletown was an absolute gem! The rustic charm, cozy atmosphere, and thoughtful amenities made our stay unforgettable. We had a great stay at the Barn@Doodletown Rd! The space is beautifully renovated—clean, stylishly decorated, and offers various seating areas perfect for group conversations or quiet reading. This house is clearly owner occupied/lived in. I have mixed feelings so I’ll note the pros and cons of this Airbnb Pros: very large (great for big family or group), well decorated, great for entertaining, beds were comfy, nice kitchen Cons: check in was a disaster. Reserved more than 3 months ahead and asked for early check in. Was given a complimentary early check in. 2 days before Red Cottage writes me to notify me that owners are staying longer. Owners didn’t leave til the day we checked in and we had to wait almost 2 hours for cleaning to be done before entering. The weekend price was probably enough to pay their mortgage, so it was very poor of them to stay in til check in day. STAINS EVERYWHERE! Although it’s nicely decorated, there’s not 1 rug or couch without stains. Hot water also ran out. For price of the stay furniture and rugs should atleast be clean. Not to mention the cheap plastic shower curtains? Really?? Couldn’t get atleast the $10 fabric ones? Dead insects!!

We loved this Airbnb and would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend getaway with friends and/or family. Counting down until when we can go back!

Had a great weekend with family and grandparents. The weather wasn’t great but the house and surrounding was absolutely wonderful!!! Would stay there again! As a cook, I have never experienced a better equipped kitchen ❤️

We loved our stay at the Barn. The home was well stocked with kitchen supplies, and had everything we needed. The space was huge and our kids enjoyed being able to spread out. Great decor and scenery, and the beds were very comfortable. We would stay here again!

Yes, this place is even more beautiful than the pictures. Dramatic and unique space. Very comfortable. Even with very open common spaces, we had people watching TV in one area, crafting in another and reading in yet another area. We cooked an entire Thanksgiving meal in the well equipped kitchen. Loved the two dishwashers. Road is quiet. Could take a walk right from the front door down the road. Very comfortable beds, nice linens and towels. Highly recommend.

Five star stay! We booked this beautiful home for a ladies weekend and enjoyed the serenity of the spacious renovated barn, the ease of use with many home amenities in the house (even small things like having sharp knives - whew! makes such a difference), and found the beds and linens extremely comfortable. The indoor fireplace was a big plus.

Photos can’t capture how beautiful the house, the furnishings and decor are in this house. It’s so thoughtfully designed - being in the space felt peaceful and was the perfect setting for a cozy girls weekend. We loved the wood burning fireplace and got to watch the snow falling through the windows on all sides of the main floor. The kitchen is well prepared for people who love to cook.. The area is beautiful though very rural and we enjoyed a couple of walking trails nearby. We really enjoyed walking over to Fulton and Forbes for an amazing wine selection. We loved the house so much that we have decided to come back in the fall :) thanks so much to the hosts for sharing their lovely home and to the red cottage team for making everything easy!

I know the area well and needed to return for a family funeral. The Barn was exactly what we needed for my kids and grandkids to attend. There is tons of space along with enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. The Barn is well stocked with both convenient household items in the kitchen and extra linen/towels. It's very clean and the communication with the host was great. We would definitely stay there again!!
