This was my second time staying in this home and we had a great time! The house was well equipped for our group of 8 and the views of the fall foliage were beautiful. The host was extremely responsive and helpful when we had any questions during our stay.

This was an unexpected trip for our family. We needed something that would comfortably handle a group of 10. When looking online, the Taghkanic House fit the need but when we got there, it was so much more. The layout and the amenities made it such an enjoyable stay. Plenty of towels, comfy beds, a well stocked kitchen; everything you would expect. The indoors was great for kids with plenty of room to play and run around. I wouldn't say that the outdoors is as young kid friendly. The house is off the beaten path with a drive through the woods. Watchout for all the deer in the area. You'll see deer all the time you're there. I would strongly encourage a 4-wheel drive vehicle to drive up the hill to the house. Low clearance vehicles may struggle. It is sooooo worth the drive because the views are spectacular. We were able to enjoy the views the entire time we were there because of the huge windows throughout the house. This was a great place! We chose this home for a special family celebration, and it exceeded every expectation. It became the backdrop to so many moments we’ll remember for years. We kept finding ourselves just stopping to take it in. What truly set this stay apart, though, was the host. Responsive, warm, and genuinely attentive — any question we had was answered quickly, and we always felt like we were in good hands. That kind of hospitality makes such a difference when you’re trying to focus on celebrating rather than logistics. We left already talking about coming back. If you’re looking for a place to bring your family together for something special, look no further. Highly recommend!

Great design and beautiful house

Beautiful architecture on a piece of stunning land. The raw, unfinished interior may not be to everyone’s liking but it feels intentional to the aesthetic.

The property is very clean and spacious, well equipped kitchen and comfortable beds. Decor is quite basic, but everything we needed and comfortable. View is beautiful and while feeling remote, it’s close to lots of nice places. The host was super responsive and fixed the one issue very quickly.
