Our stay at the Red Cottage was amazing. The lake front property was perfect peaceful and very picturesque. The home itself is very beautiful and spacious which was perfect for our family of 6. I would definitely recommend staying here.

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful, peaceful home on the lake! The views from the great room and both king bedrooms were absolutely stunning, especially at sunset from the lovely deck. The home was clean, well-decorated, and very comfortable. The kitchen was thoughtfully stocked with spices, condiments, and essentials like Ziplocs, paper towels, and laundry soap—such a nice touch! Only small wish was for a bit more lounge seating in the living room, as we were a family of five and seating fit four. We had a brief hiccup with the code and water on check-in day, but customer service was quick, friendly, and resolved everything smoothly. We’d absolutely stay again!

We loved our stay at this home on the lake. It was the perfect house for our group of 7 for a holiday getaway and we were very comfortable here. It was stocked with everything we needed. We just loved the view of the lake and would definitely go back.

We had a wonderful stay at the Lake House. The home was large with a wonderful deck over looking Orange Lake. The sunsets were magnificent. The furnishings on the deck were top of the line along with the kayaks which we truly enjoyed. If you are looking for a place to relax and enjoy nature, this rental will fill the bill.

This was an absolutely beautiful house! From the second you drive down the driveway, you see the lake framing the backdrop of the house and it is stunning. Ample area for pets and a good space to hang out and play. Note that’s it’s not very ideal swimming conditions right off the dock, but the hosts provided kayaks and paddle boards for activities on the lake and I think brave swimmers would find better waters a little bit in. We had a great time fishing off the dock (you have to bring your own poles) - lots of fish biting at all times of the day! The indoors is well appointed and has everything you need to cook and stay. As hard as it is to believe, the house and views were even better than the pictures showed. Would recommend this place to anyone.

The lake house was what we need as a family with an infant. Has all the toys and activities from kayaking, books, toy truck all are included. The kitchen was well equipped and comfortably cooked for 7 people with BBQ and electric stove. Made us want to come back again or just buy the place

What a beautiful lake house! The house was perfect - clean, comfortable, homey, warm, with rows of floor to ceiling windows to take in the lake views. So peaceful and relaxing. The hosts were attentive to whatever came up. Can’t wait to return!

Great getaway from the city. Surrounding area had a number of lovely restaurants and attractions. Beautiful to be by the water. Wouldn’t swim in it by kayaking every morning was fantastic.

Stayed here for my best friend's bachelorette weekend, it could not have been better! Gorgeous home kept in pristine conditions, we relaxed out on the lake in the kayaks and paddle board, huge kitchen and grill for group meals, went out on the town in Beacon, it was perfect! Host was very responsive and helpful!

We truly enjoyed our stay. The home was private, peaceful, and offered beautiful lake views. We visit the area often since we have a cadet at West Point, and the location was ideal—an easy 25–30 minute drive. It’s also conveniently close to Beacon, Fishkill, and Woodbury Common Premium Outlets. This property is now at the top of our list whenever we check availability for future visits.

This is a stunning place, we loved it. The weather was too windy to enjoy kayaking but would love to come back again.

Excellent stay overall. The home was very clean, check-in was simple, and the host communicated quickly and clearly throughout. The view is a standout, and the location is convenient to several great restaurants. Snow was handled promptly with plowing on two occasions during our visit, which was a big plus. We’d happily return!

The place was exactly as described and even better than expected. It was immaculately clean, with stunning views, and stocked with so many essentials that are usually not provided—laundry detergent, softener, paper towels, dish liquid, and more. The host was super responsive and made everything easy. I truly don’t have a single bad thing to say. Highly recommend!

This place was perfect for our trip. The space was wonderful and the view was great in the morning/night. Would stay here again if we are ever back in the area. I’ve already recommended this place to friends who are ever visiting the area.
