SunDestin Resort Unit 1603 — Guest Reviews

My family and I frequently stay at Sundestin Beach Resort, and while we chose this unit for its beautiful online photos, our experience was lackluster. The building's renovations look amazing, but the construction noise woke my children at 6:00 AM daily. We also dealt with several maintenance issues, including non-functional lights and fans that required an electrician, as well as a showerhead that needed replacing. The interior is showing wear and tear, specifically needing a fresh coat of paint and professional cleaning for the floors and couch. While the views are perfect and the beach access is as convenient as ever, there are definitely better-maintained units on-site. It’s a decent choice if you’ve never stayed here before, but seasoned guests may find better options elsewhere at the resort.

Beautiful Condo! We really enjoyed our stay at this condo. Everything was updated and had everything we needed. The condo itself was beautiful. The parking at Sundestin is terrible. They have an overflow lot about 3 blocks away which we had to park at 4 out of the 5 nights we were there. Single mom with 2 small kids crossing Destin's busiest road in the dark night isn't ideal. I wish they had a shuttle or something. But that's not the condo's fault. We would definitely choose this condo again!

Honeymoon Our stay was beautiful as well as the room. Very disappointed since both pools were closed and I specifically asked if they’d be open during our stay and was told yes. It’s the second time I’ve stayed here and the pools were closed.

Sun Destin resort immaculate. The unit was clean. The check-in process was seamless and the beaches are beautiful.

Amazing place to stay with little ones. I loved how clean and comfortable the condo was. Felt right at home with an amazing view!

This is the 2nd year in a row we’ve stayed here. Location is perfect. The views are amazing and there’s so much to do within mins of this condo!! The condo is always so clean and looks like the pictures posted on their website! Easy to communicate with and responds back to you pretty quickly if you have any questions!

I really enjoyed staying here it was the perfect location and room for my husband and I with our 20 month old, I love how we could just go downstairs to the beach so easy with all the beach toys, towels, and coolers that had to be taken. We enjoyed Destin and will be returning and staying at this location again it was perfect for us ☺️

The location was amazing, with incredible views! The inside looks like the pictures and besides some minor fixes they need inside, it was a great place to stay.

Great place! We will be back

The location was perfect for me—very walkable with easy access to shops, restaurants, and the beach. The unit itself was absolutely GORGEOUS very clean, modern, and the view was incredible. It truly made the stay special. I loved having the drip coffee machine! I was able to drink coffee right from their home on the balcony! Well stocked with plenty of towels and each room came with little boxes of body care and dish soap, laundry pack, dishwasher packs! The only downside was the building (SunDestin), which felt outdated and in need of a remodel. The elevator floors were often dirty, and the hallways/foyers didn’t feel as clean, likely due to ongoing construction. Arrival was also a bit inconvenient since the main doors were closed. Overall, the unit was beautiful and exceeded expectations, but the resort itself could use significant updates for the price you’re paying. Beautiful stay and the view was everything it truly was a nice little escape and rewind! Thank you

The unit itself was clean, and the staff was very friendly and responsive when we had questions. However, one of the maintenance issues we reported didn’t appear to be addressed, and we never received a follow-up confirming it was resolved. Some parts of the room have been updated, but items like the TVs and some finishes felt a bit outdated for the price. There was also ongoing construction that wasn’t clearly mentioned beforehand. The lobby was under renovation and construction made the property somewhat difficult to navigate—it took us about 15 minutes to find the pool and hot tub. The staff did their best to help, but the renovations took away from what could have been a great stay. Once everything is finished it will likely be a nice place, but for the price I expected something more updated and complete.

Beautiful view and clean!

Beautiful view! Enjoyed our stay. Beautiful view. The AC unit is loud especially since it’s in the master bedroom. Can’t wait to see the finished product from the renovation that’s taking place. Wish the unit had a washer and dryer, however there is one in the common area of the floor just inconvenient. But we will most likely stay here again.

This condo is beautiful! Very pretty decorated and has everything you would need. Our only complaint (which is not the condo owner's fault) is the parking situation is terrible. There aren't enough spaces so you have to park in 'overflow parking' which is 3 blocks down in a sketchy dark lot and then cross Destin's busiest road on foot to get back. I wish they allowed one car per condo and all other cars go to overflow but it's first come first serve.

1603 Such a great stay. Really enjoyed everything. Prices at the restaurant were a little high so we left and ate elsewhere. Parking in the evenings is a little rough too. Other than that, it was amazing. We’re currently looking for something in October for the Rodeo.

Vacation Everything was great except the outdoor pool was closed die to renovation and our last day was a little noisey due to construction

stay Loud construction going on starting early in the morning, and the pool was closed due to construction. The view from balcony is very nice. Place is a little out dated but we enjoyed our stay.

Great view! We had everything we needed. An awesome view, and a place to rest. Would definitely consider this place again, when the building renovation is complete.
