SunDestin Resort Unit 0811 — Guest Reviews

Room was very small. Stated that sleeps 6 comfortably. But there were 3 adults and 2 children and we were all over each other. Shower had half door that caused water to get all in the floor. Very disappointed in what we got for the money. We stayed in orange beach for 7 nights in a 3 bed 3 bath beach front for half the price and twice the space. I grew up here as a kid. And this place has gone down hill significantly. Ac unit takes up 1/3 of the balcony. Very thankful for the room and the amenities. But very frustrated with what we got for the money. Not to mention, The main reason we picked this place to extent our beach stay was for the splash pad. But it was “down for maintenance” which was not disclosed prior to booking. Listing stated “ all amenities open to guest” that was simply not the case. No trash chute. Had to pay to wash clothes out in the hall. Not worth 300 a night in the off season. Probably won’t be back. Also Destin has very little to accommodate children.

Amazing trip We loved staying at the SunDestin hotel. The location was amazing and we loved the pools and splash pad for the kids. The rooms were beautiful and clean; however they could use a few updates such as a Keurig coffee maker and an air fryer or toaster oven would be awesome. We also had a few issues with customer services as they checked us out a day early and locked us out of the room. They could definitely be a little more helpful and friendly. All and all we had an amazing trip and we will visit again soon.

Great view/Location But Needs Updating Sundestin resort was a great location with easy check in/out process. Easy beach access and a (small) indoor pool my little ones loved. Even a fudpuckers “ish” restaurant open most days right next to the pool for drinks and food. The condo itself was disappointing for the price paid, but looking at the insane prices during prime season I’m glad I only paid winter prices. It’s clean, which was nice but for the price you pay know that you are stepping into the 80’s as far as the green bathtub and sinks. Awkward bathrooms with two toilets and one shower tub. You could high five your family member while you both use the toilet at the same time. There are a lot of more updated units in this condo and the price does Not reflect what you’re getting in this unit. Still a great trip and beds were comfy. Just needs to be updated so that guests feel they are getting their money’s worth.

Family beach vacation spot No frills. Clean condo but needs updating and some maintenance. Little disappointed based on description but made the best of it with the family especially when stuck in the condo bc of daily rain. Great beach location for families!

The place itself was super nice room not so much Positive: Loved the view. Nice resort like the store and the restaurant Negative: Didn’t like the room 811. Bed was not great hallway lights shines right in the window hard to sleep. The shower had a half door it needs a shower curtain it was horrible water splashing out everywhere. Wi-Fi is super slow.

Beautiful view, but the condo smelled of mildew or mold. We ended up going to the grocery store and buying air fresheners. The door to the bathroom is falling apart at the bottom corner. The pocket doors all need WD-40 or something. They make loud noises when you try to close/open them. The baseboards also need work. Overall, the condo needs some TLC. I would not stay at this condo for eight days again.

It was good.

Everything was wonderful. My only complaint was the elevators had a pretty loud squeaky sound and since the bedroom is right next the hallway it was pretty continuous. I was able to drown it out with a noise maker on my phone. Other than that we had a great view of the beach and we had a wonderful time!

The location is awesome. The room is clean and convenient. Will come back again.

The whole place was under construction and looked like crap Andrew we weren’t made aware of it, the hot tub was just as cold as the pool, they say there’s a beach bar, which looks like there was at one time, but it was never open, the chairs by the pool look like they were from the 1980s, upkeep on the location is very dirty and nothing like the pictures

Room needs some remodeling but it was still good and I would book again . View is A got to see dolphins off the balcony swimming every day it was beautiful . Construction is going on at moment but it wasn’t to much to bother us . Beds are comfy. Tv was great . Great place for being in the beach for sure .

Great communication from host, clean unit as advertised, we had a wonderful time.

the unit was fine but the resort as a whole was not one of the pools was nasty looking and needs a overhaul a lot of construction was goin on while visiting so it was alot of noise…really didnt have a vacation feel to it but the location is perfect 2min walk to beach and a short drive to all the main attractions 4/10 for me

Very good place to stay

I loved the condo. The beach was gorgeous. Only thing that would make me choose our typical spot in Panama City is that we were unable to use our personal umbrellas. We had to purchase a tent and sit behind all of the beach umbrellas that were put out in the mornings and we were quite far from the water. If personal umbrellas can injure someone, so can the umbrellas you have to pay for. It's all a money making thing. I didn't rent besch chairs and umbrellas because they are insanely over priced.Panama City is better

Very nice Condo Great place. Construction was ongoing during the stay, but didn't start until 8 am each day. Beach was nice and umbrella and chair setup was a plus. We enjoyed it. It will be even better when construction complete.

Clean and excellent The condo was everything we expected.

Sundestin Condo We booked 6/8-6/15 We checked out 3 days early due to condo property renovations. From 9-5pm it sounded like a Jack Hammer being used. They refunded 4 days. Staff was great, beach great, restaurant great, facilities were very nice, but if you plan on being in room during the day as we did, the noise is terrible. We worked out a partial refund and left. Will try again after remodel of property is done.

3rd year in a row in this unit This was our 3rd year in a row in this unit. It is clean and convenient. We love the location. It’s far enough away from the pool and loud chaos down below to not disturb you at night when winding down. My only complaint is that the bedroom has a distinct smell almost like a public bathroom. We actually went to buy air fresheners to help. Also the bathroom door between the bedroom and 1/2 bath is extremely loud and will wake everyone up when closed in the night. We will still come back again as this unit feels like home to us!

Great stay Everything was great. View was wonderful.

Great get away Was clean and great view. Only complaint would be the air condenser is on the balcony instead of the roof, so the ocean noise would get drowned out sometimes. Everything else was great.

Loved it! Great view, great & friendly staff, clean & comfortable unit and great location! We will definitely be back!

Really nice condo Totally enjoyed my visit

Great Location Tub didn’t drain well and knob was almost falling off, stains on furniture, mildew smell, and some cracking in ceiling in a few spots. Other than these few issues which didn’t deter from our stay too much, the place was fantastic.

Great location The location is right on the beach. The condo is outdated but it was just fine.

Great view! Great condo with bay view! Great space, only thing I would suggest is addressing areas in ceiling where you can see there used to be water damage. Floors were sticky from a need to be cleaned. Overall we loved it! I cleaned bathroom and floors so I could relax and we had an awesome time!

Had a wonderful time Great location, right on front of the beach, Wonderful view. the red couches and the carpet were dirty, but overall everything was working fine.

Great place to stay in Destin Great place to stay in Destin. The condo was very clean and modern as well as right on the beach with a beautiful view. I the TVs and appliances were very nice, but the best part was the bed! This has to be one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in.

Perfect stay We had so much fun during our Sundestin stay! The beach has powder white sand, turquoise water! The condo has a outdoor pool, indoor pool, splash pad & hot tub! It was great!

Maintenance The location is excellent. The front staff were very good. The apartment bed and pillows are not in good condition. The sheets and linens were bad. Could not sleep and rest as it have bad back ache and sprained next. Same is the situation with bunker bed. All these needs to be replaced with good quality bedding. Bedding had dust mites The towel rod were broken. Bad TV and system needs to be updated.
