Chic Downtown Stay, Near Top Local Spots — Guest Reviews

I'm new-ish to Airbnb traditions and norms, so this experience was new to me. Long story my original lodging was unavailable for whatever reason. Debra & Derek made all of the necessary changes to get me into a very nice substitute. The communication was on point and I never had any "what's going on moments" from the time I arrived in town to the time I entered my place. I was even provided with no charge parking on the property which was amazing because there was no parking on the street. They couldn't know this but the location was walking distance from the place I was visiting so I didn't need to drive very much. The apartment I stayed in was clean, quiet and very comfortable. Zero problems with how everything shook out and nothing but good things to say about my host and their ability to problem-solve when forced to pivot. Thanks Debra & Derek!

Nice and clean. Instant communication back from hosts to answer even the silliest questions. Couches a tad uncomfortable at first- but once I found all the extra pillows and blankets I was very cozy. Recommend and would stay again. Neighbourhood a tad scary if on own but building very secure. The extra toiletries a nice touch. Lots of subscriptions on TV for those lazy nights in. Great experience!

The ad states the area to be extremely safe. There were times where I felt unsafe and/or uncomfortable. With the area being so busy, there are many homeless people - many of which that like to hang out directly behind the building. Furthermore, there was shouting that was occurring in the hallways between other occupants. If you have a car that needs to be parked in the back, I noticed someone else's had been keyed (cannot confirm if this happened while at the location) but it was concerning having an unprotected car back there. The hosts, while fairly responsive, were slow to respond when an issue was presented. There was a mouse in the unit which terrified me. When I messaged the host, they said they could drop off traps and they have been aware of the issue (guests have clearly not been informed and they are not taking necessary precautions to keep them out of the units). Lastly, the kitchen is ill equipped if you plan to cook. The unit was a cheap stay, so that was fine.

Clean, good value, walkable neighbourhood close to downtown. Loved Coffee Run Co for nice coffee and Steve's Open Kitchen for breakfast, both just around the corner.

i stayed two months in the Airbnb. The apartment was great with close proximity to Hamilton downtown, a catholic church, restaurants, bus stations to various places and Go Train station. The buses can take you to places like Barton, Burlington, Ancaster and college like McMaster University and the Columbia International College etc. The host was responsive to my requests, we enjoyed our stay in the Airbnb.

I enjoyed my stay on Duke Street, it was everything I needed while working in Hamilton.

I had a great stay at this Airbnb. The place was clean, comfortable, and exactly as described. The check-in process was smooth, and the host was friendly, responsive, and helpful throughout my stay. The location was convenient, and I had everything I needed for a pleasant visit. I would definitely recommend this place to others and would be happy to stay here again.

Great location; clean, quiet and 5 min walk from downtown. Well worth the stay. Happily return! Positive: Great location - central to downtown Hamilton. Very clean with great facilities; bathroom on small side but more than adequate. Check-in was reasonably straight forward but did need to call host as didn't receive code (via email) to key box; again, not a major hassle. More than happy to stay again and 100% recommend if you're staying in Hamilton. Negative: Bed squeezed terribly when you rolled over! Other than that, nothing to complain about.

À noter aussi que le stationnement est disponible, mais moyennant des frais supplémentaires. Nous recommandons!

Amazing place, the kitchen was so nice and had a beautiful sky light which created so much natural lighting. There was so much to do around the city. And felt right at home every time my girlfriend and I returned to the Air BNB. The bed was as soft as a cloud and put us at ease every time we laid down for the night.

We had a great time! It was very hot outside and we found we had to set up our own air conditioning. Once setting up the air conditioning the place cooled down, it was upsetting having to arrive to a very hot location after being in the sun all day. Place is nice and renovated but it is an older build. The location is also super quick to the go station but the walk at night is kind of scary until getting to the main road. Everything is close so that was convenient. Hosts respond super quick!

Had another fantastic stay! This is officially our go-to spot every single time we visit Hamilton. The place is always spotlessly clean, super comfortable, and perfectly located. The host is incredibly welcoming and makes check-in a breeze. Can’t wait for our next trip back!

Goede locatie in een leuke buurt van Hamilton en een gezellig appartement, maar het interieur kan wel een update gebruik Positive: De locatie is uitstekend: een mooi gebouw in een gezellige en aantrekkelijke buurt van Hamilton, op loopafstand van de leukste straten, restaurants en winkels. Direct achter het gebouw is betaalde parkeergelegenheid beschikbaar, wat erg praktisch is. Het appartement zelf is knus, waardoor het een fijne uitvalsbasis is voor een verblijf in de stad. Negative: Het appartement zou wel een opknapbeurt kunnen gebruiken. De wastafel en de douche waren aan de kleine kant en de bekleding van de eetkamerstoelen zag er versleten en niet erg schoon uit. Ook vonden wij het bed voor twee personen wat aan de kleine kant.

Positive: The apartment is in a convenient location and is very spacious, with good, functional appliances. Negative: I had a major issue during my stay: the boiler broke, leaving me without hot water for my final night. Because it occurred late at night, the host was unable to resolve it, and I was forced to take a cold shower. While the host did provide a small amount of compensation in booking credits, it did not adequately account for the lack of essential services during my stay.

Character filled apartment near amazing restaurants. Do know it is an older building so sounds are apparent when people come and go. Hot water needs to be ran for a while before it kicks in and found the apartment to be dusty. I was in a different apartment than pictured; you may want to confirm with the host if this is important to you. Overall good stay!

There is a lot of good food near by. Short walk to the convention center. The place was clean and super chill.

very kind people and very responsive. the place was also nice and clean. the only issue we found was that the shower and lights weren’t working properly (ex: cold water, flickering lights, etc). i am sure if we said something to the hosts, they would try their best to help out and fix it, however we only really slept at the Airbnb so it didn’t feel necessary.

The place is in a great location with very responsive hosts. Stay was for a week so there was some hiccups with the main door not working a few times but the hosts were extremely responsive and had it corrected within minutes! The place was very nice kitchen was well equipped and the bed was extremely comfy! The area is very nice theres something to do for anyone and it’s decently quiet for being downtown! I would say for anyone who is built larger be weary of the shower size as it is an extremely small shower id say if your over 150lbs your gonna feel like a pig on a roast rotating around the shower because it’s so small but the rest of the space is very nice laid out and spacious! Would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a vibrant area and great hosts!

Very lovely place, hosts were also so communicative the whole time when I had questions! My only concern was the unit given to us was a bit different from the photos in the Airbnb (maybe it was a different unit) and the bathroom door couldn’t be closed. Although the host sent maintenance to fix the bathroom door right away so still giving them a great rating. Would recommend to anyone and would stay again!

Nice clean place in walking distance to hospital. Stairs leading up to third floor unit are pretty steep so be mindful about carrying up a suitcase.

I had to chance to stay here this past weekend and from the minute I walked in the door I absolutely loved the place. It was the perfect size, well equipped and nice and close to everything I needed. I really loved the look both inside and outside. Alex and Mel were super easy to deal with, and extremely quick to respond anytime so had a question. It came with clear and easy instructions on how to access the suite.

Great accommodation. Perfect location with great restaurants in walking distance. The hosts are very responsive and helpful. Although one suggestion - if the windows have some blackout curtains or something darker that would be nice. The window covers do not block any light at night. As a person who requires full darkness while sleeping, I had to wrap a shirt around my head to get myself to sleep. But in any case, I enjoyed my stay. :)

Fijne airbnb, heeft alles wat je nodig hebt. Keuken met alles erop en eraan, goede tv, lekker bed (wel een erg zacht matras) en een prima badkamertje. Helaas is de woning wel erg gehorig en hoor je de buren regelmatig

Really enjoyed my stay, totally recommend as its open concept and has a classic style to it. 10 out of 10

It's a great building, classic build with radiant heat, and plenty of space to enjoy. Super comfy bed and bedding. The shower is on the smaller side but not restrictive. The kitchen was well stocked and worked great. There are a few bus stops right on the main street and a small grocer just a 2 min walk away. I had an issue with noise from the upstairs unit but Alex & Mel were very quick to respond and the noise settled down.

Great spot and location. Tons to do in the area. Parked behind the building for 30$. Hosts were great, instructions were clear and they were very responsive whenever I had questions.
