Stag Hill House is a charming gambrel-roof farmhouse with cedar shake siding, set in the quiet hamlet of North Branch in Sullivan County's Western Catskills. Comfortable, welcoming, and pet friendly, this three-bedroom home offers easy access to the best of the region while giving your group every reason to stay put and enjoy it.

The spacious living room is the heart of the home, with plenty of room to gather, a collection of games, and a dedicated remote work station for guests mixing a little work with their stay. The welcoming kitchen features a breakfast bar ideal for casual meals, and a dining area just beyond seats the whole group for shared dinners.

Three bedrooms sleep up to seven guests. The primary bedroom offers a king bed and a single bed, the second bedroom features a queen bed, and the third is a great option for kids or flexible groups with a bunk bed. Two full bathrooms serve the home, one with a tub and shower combo and one with a standing shower.

Outside, a cowboy cauldron firepit sets the stage for a quintessential Catskills evening cooking of over an open flame, gathering under the stars, or simply unwinding after a day exploring the charming towns and hamlets of the area, hitting hiking trails, local lakes, or a concert at Bethel Woods.

With classic design, comfortable lodging, and a welcoming feel, Stag Hill House is an iinviting home base for exploring Sullivan County's celebrated fly fishing on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc rivers, the restaurants and breweries of nearby Livingston Manor and Roscoe, miles of hiking trails, and a thriving local food and arts scene.

The area

North Branch is a quintessential Western Catskills hamlet - quiet, unhurried, and positioned right in the middle of Sullivan County's best. The North Branch Inn, one of the region's most beloved spots for a farm-fresh dinner and a well-poured drink, is just minutes away. The newly restored North Branch Cider Mill, a local landmark turned specialty grocer and home goods shop, is a short walk or drive down the road.

From the house, Callicoon, Livingston Manor, Roscoe, and Jeffersonville are each within 15 to 20 minutes, putting an impressive range of restaurants, cafés, breweries, and shops well within reach. Livingston Manor is the hub of the local food and craft beverage scene, with Upward Brewing Company and Catskill brewing, Main Street Market & Café, The Kaatskeller, and Dette Flies, the area's go-to fly fishing outfitter. Callicoon offers riverside dining, Seminary Hill Cidery, and a charming main street along the Delaware River. Roscoe, known as Trout Town USA, is the gateway to world-class fly fishing on the Beaverkill and Willowemoc rivers, with The Junction, Grizzly Bagels, and the classic Roscoe Diner rounding out the local scene.

Hikers will find miles of trails through Walnut Mountain Park and the Willowemoc Wild Forest close by, with fire tower hikes at Red Hill and Balsam Lake Mountain a scenic drive away.

Stag Hill House is just over 2 hours from New York City, and you'll definitely want a car to get there and around the area.

In the winter, we recommend a car with AWD/four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.
