Amazing loft and great view and very clean place. Highly recommend.

Great stay for me and my wife, parking was limited right around the property but they made up for it with the beautiful space would definitely book again.

Old school, new school Airbnb Positive: Parking was easy, the building was nice. I liked the app entry. The room was clean and nicely decorated Negative: When I came into the building the security guard said “excuse me and you are?” I told him my name and that I had an Airbnb in the building for a day. He said “well that explains why I don’t know you and you need to introduce yourself to every guard, the one at 3pm, 6pm and 9.” That was weird and uncomfortable for both my husband and I (he got stopped too and I had to come to the desk and get him.

It was dirty from numerous times of underwhelming cleaning. The washer/drier was a combo unit that took 4-6 hours for a full wash and dry cycle. Good location, but parking is a challenge. Do be prepared for a few blocks of walking if arriving later in the evening. Public transit is easy access though. Less than 25 minutes to downtown.

A comfortable and well-located stay with good value Positive: The apartment was spacious, clean, comfortable, well located in a nice area, and close to the subway; even with the extra $75 non-refundable deposit, it was good value for money. Negative: The wifi didn't work very well and you have to pay a non-refundable $75 deposit not advertised anywhere in the publication; there's an option to pay a higher deposit that's refundable, but that option only is available one or two days before the chek in time.

The location couldn't be better - near bus and train lines so getting into Center City was a breeze. Plus the area is very walkable and beautiful. Also, parking on the street is relatively easy to find. One thing to note: if you are planning on cooking, you may want to bring some basic utensils (veggie peeler, wine opener). Also, there is limited glassware (2 glasses and no wine glasses!) and there could be more plates and silverware (only 3 forks and two bowls!). We made do and were able to cook the meals that we had planned.

Unique place, comfortable appartment, at a reasonable price. Positive: Typical building. Renovation has been respectful of the original building Negative: The check-in is only by internet. And the picture of the ID card is required to get in, with no assurance of security measures to protect our privacy, no information about the ID card to be discarded. This does not comply with RGPD.

Positive: There was a lot of natural light. Negative: The building is huge and navigating it can be a bit confusing. The apartment was not clean when I arrived. There was mildew, cobwebs, flies, and ants present.

Overall stay was good. Unit was in a nice building and easy to locate and didn't have trouble finding parking. But there were some stains on all the bed sheets, as in bigger stains that seemed bleached over so that was a pretty gross. I would come here again but might request new sheets next time.

I love West Philly and always was curious about this building. It’s an old school so the vibes are very lofty, and I loved it. The building was fine itself slightly confusing navigation (it’s just sooo big!). Now, the apartment: we had drain flies in the shower and the amenities while present were not that great (salt ran out immediately, there are literally just 2 glasses, the kettle was leaking). It’s not the end of the world but having been to airbnb that go out of their ways for amenities, this was not fantastic. Lastly, unfortunately, my car got stolen while parked in the neighborhood. Obviously, not the fault of the listing! Just a reminder for everyone to opt out for a garage. Better safe than sorry. Even with all of that, I don’t regret booking this airbnb! I loved the style and the building, it provided with everything I needed, and allowed me a late checkout (for additional fee). But there were caveats I want people to know of.

Great place to stay in close proximity to university city and West Philly. I especially appreciated the host’s quick replies to questions. Overall the place was very clean and all amenities were as described.

Was very nice, became cold easily, was nice for what we needed. Wish there were extra towels or a bathroom rug, lots of hair left over from previous guest. Parking at night was a pain. There weren’t any scissors lol. But was nice overall decorated nicely and was very comfortable. Looked exactly like the pictures. Communication with host was quick. Just wish they were a little more accommodating with my schedule wanted to charge for every little nitpick.

Very pleasant stay. Initially I was directed to a flat which had not been turned round so the bed was unmade and some plastic bottles left on the side. However Simon responded within 5 minutes and redirected me to a new flat just down the corridor. So an initial disappointment very quickly rectified and I was happy with the new flat.

I honestly had the best three weeks in Philadelphia at this wonderful apartment. It was truly a home away from home. It was a pleasure to come back to this wonderful place after a long day. What worked really well: - Simon is very quick to respond and is very great at receiving feedback - The nearest bus stop is one block away on either side, and there are some great restaurants in walking distance - The house looks exactly like the pictures, and even better in person - Everything was pristine and showed a lot of detail to attention - there was dishwashing pods for a few days, enough garbage bags for the duration of our stay, enough towels and bed linen for a small army, well stocked coffee/tea counter, great variety of utensils, to name a few. - It's a quiet part of Philly but not too far away from center city or university city, so you're still pretty close to the action. I loved staying here, and I would highly recommend anyone visiting Philly to stay here!

Great spot, walking distance from the folks I was visiting. Love the loft, everything just like the photo. Nice to have water and pretzels. Bedding clean and comfortable. A little cold but let's face it, Philly was having arctic temperatures so all good. People in unit directly above me started moving their furniture about 10pm one night, I let it go on as long as I could but by midnight I couldn't take it so reluctantly texted my Simon At Sosuite contact and they were on it instantly! Very impressive! The only thing was that I got off the elevator and there was no way finding the direction I went so I had to walk around the entire floor to find my room. Had I went the other direction I would have seen the the signage indicating the room numbers but you might include this info in your instructions.

Simon’s place was good, my only concern was the bathroom stand up tub leaked water outside the curtain. The downstairs was very cold. The heat mainly worked upstairs

Place was nice! Gym was very helpful. Two of my complaints are, although in the rules they stress no smoking or toking, we smelled cannabis all over the hallways even in our room. That’s not cool. Second complaint was how abrasive and rude the staff was to me and my wife. I am not going to listen to an aggressive rant from staff because we asked how we could retrieve our Amazon package. The guy that worked on days as we checked out was extremely helpful to helping us get our luggage to the rental car.

Very clean and well organized place. This past stay made me want to get a place like this of my own!

Booked a last minute birthday trip to Philly and this was the perfect spot- great amenities such as rooftop, gym, and lounge! The Airbnb it self was very clean & the host was extremely helpful and responsive. Some helpful things to be aware of: If you plan to use Uber just be aware that sometimes they would pick- up on the opposite side of the building and it can be slightly noisy outside at night. Overall I will definitely be booking with SoSuite next-time I’m in Philly!

I truly enjoyed my stay at Simon’s place , the amenities within the building, the convenience to the city, the vintage building, the cleanliness, comfort of the place, the neighbors and safety of the building. The ease of the check in was great! Simon was a wonderful host and accommodating to my inquiries and allowed me to extend my stay!

I stayed for 20 days and had a good experience. Simon was super responsive and friendly, and check-in instructions were clear and easy to follow. The location was convenient, with plenty of grocery stores and restaurants nearby. The building gym was a great bonus for my stay. Overall, a comfortable place for a longer visit.

Comfortable loft just as advertised. Weird building vibe due to it being a giant repurposed high school building . Close to many great things in west Philly area. Nice roof deck. I had trouble with the WiFi and it affected my work during the stay. It never got resolved. Otherwise a good experience!

Nice place to stay. This used to be a high school and you can definitely tell by the layout. Don't book for the gym, try to keep active in other ways, the equipment is either broken, or from two centuries ago. Besides that, the place is very nice. Simon was a great great help, extremely responsive to my thousand questions, always helpful and full of resources.

The apartment is spacious for a city space. The building used to be a high school, and most people who live there rent, so the front desk is set up for the renters. The bed was comfortable, but you had to take stairs each time. I would stay again, though it might be a building for younger folks as there were parties Friday and Saturday. They ended sometime after 11:00.

Although, my hosting was changed last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. Simon was communicative and tried his best to accommodate me further to make sure I had somewhere to stay.

This is my second time booking Simon’s place, and it never disappoints. About a 20 minute ride to Center City Philadelphia. Easy check-in and the front desk is always helpful if you need any assistance with anything. Will definitely be booking again.

Very hard to get into building if it’s your first time. You’ll have to grab someone’s attention to open the door or wait for someone else to come in. Noticeable cat hair and claw marks on the couch with stains. Air conditioner had hard water yellow stains as well. Nice apartment loft that’s very hard to find so to no maps good luck.

Had a really nice stay here! It was super simple to check in/out. The apartment was cozy and comfortable and had everything we needed. Nice neighborhood with tasty cafes and such that are easy to walk to. Would totally stay here again if I return to West Philly.

I came to Philly for a pool tournament and saw this place had a pool table in the coming area. The pool table is in great shape and the common area is very posh. I used the gym too. The apartment was perfect and the kitchen had everything I needed to make my own meals (which I enjoy doing even when I travel). Staff and residents were very nice. 10/10, would absolutely come back.

the building is an old high school. a little confusing to get around, but after a little bit of wandering, it was easy to navigate. the rooftop is in a different building, but easy to access & stellar views. the desk people were friendly & helpful, the common area was fun & met some very kind people in it. the train station was only a few blocks away, plus lots of great coffee shops in the area. west philadelphia has always been my favourite part of the city. i'd absolutely stay here again !!!

We had a great experience! Parking was difficult in the evening but the space was nice for a week long stay.

I booked this Airbnb because I photographed the building when it was abandoned, but sadly, they didn’t preserve any of its historical charm. The stay itself wasn’t great either. The unit wasn’t cleaned well—there were hairs throughout, the loft floor was dirty, and the bathroom had streaks like it was wiped with dirty water. The windows are drafty, making the downstairs cold while the loft was extremely hot. The upstairs mini-split didn’t work, and the ceiling fan was covered in dust. Noise was another issue—you can hear people in every direction. Accessibility is also a problem. There are stairs to enter, no load-in spot, and parking was inconsistent. The first night, I had to park six minutes away; the second, I got lucky with a spot out front. Overall, definitely not worth the price. Wouldn’t recommend unless they improve cleanliness, temperature control, and accessibility.

This was a great place everything was good it was nice and clean I love the set up location was good front desk was nice and polite everything was quiet only thing is that shower was small!!!

The 1 star is for the game room, we had lots of fun in there. This place was FILTHY though, I have stayed at Motel 6’s and other 1 star hotels far cleaner than this. There were literal pube hairs everywhere..on the floor, in the bathroom, even some on the plates! Inside the unit was really run down as was the surrounding neighborhood (goodluck with parking) but that could just possibly be Philly itself, covered in trash and smashed vehicles. The dryer also malfunctioned and locked my clothes in there for hours. Overall we feel really gross after staying here, I am just glad I brought my own sheets, pillow cases, and towels.

It’s a really nice place but the key fob was not working that’s it other than that it was really nice and cozy great for staying in Philadelphia in the city amazing

The place was great, we loved the building. The only things we wish is that we could stay longer can’t wait to come back!!!

Had a good stay nice large windows very comfortable bed. Superfast Wi-Fi is stated in the advertisement gym 24 hours. Nice lounge good books to read would return in the future.

Very cool space. The building is a former high school, with huge corridors, high ceilings, and nice public spaces and gym. It has good urben vibe. The apartment itself is spacious and has all the necessary details in the kitchen and bathroom. I liked the big table overlooking the windows -- good work space.

Simons space was absolutely beautiful and just like the pictures! I spent a weekend there and was not disappointed. The portal sosuite uses is very intuitive and provides everything you’d need. Would absolutely stay here again when I’m back in the area

Simons place was just what me and my wife needed. Setting and energy was outstanding and everything I needed was there during my stay, and anything I needed help with Simon answered promptly and ready to help me.

I loved my stay and wish I had a bit more free time to enjoy the space and the building itself. It was a bit challenging for me (perhaps in my busy, rushed state) to have so many different messages and systems for checking in and finding necessary information but better to have the information than not! When I had any questions, they texted right back and communication was smooth and easy that way. I appreciated that unlike many other Airbnb that boast having wonderful fully equipped kitchens, that there actually was some olive oil!! My unit was down a very long hall and there was construction happening outside, so it might be good for folks to know of those possibilities, but thankfully, neither impacted my enjoyment of the space.

Me and my partner had a great time at Simon's place! We felt at home and our dog was super happy there.

This SoSuite loft was exactly as pictured. A nice, modern and chic loft was the perfect stay for my Philly weekend birthday getaway! The location was about 15 minutes to anything we planned to do in Central Philadelphia and we found street parking immediately each time we returned. The cleanliness of the bathroom could use some improvement.

Conveniently located. Even parking wasn't so bad as long as you made it back before it got too late, then parking was a couple of blocks away. Check-in is interesting as it is outside of the ABnB app, but it worked out okay. The building is nice and clean, and has a great community room with a pool table plus. Bring towels, theirs are well-worn.

So suite was a cute spot! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay, especially with a late night pool game in the recreational room. The building is huge but easy to navigate with signs all around. The area was great as well with just about everything being 15 minutes away.

This was a nice stay, got to do a late check out as my flight left at 5 highly recommend staying with sosuite at least once very responsive and easy to navigate issues. the place looked exactly like the pictures and would definitely stay again

We really dug the space. The converted old school was a great place to stay. The loft was perfect for our short trip needs. Restaurants and coffee were easily walkable as were public transit lines! The building and room felt super safe and comfortable. And communication was super easy and fast. Great stay in a comfortable spot. Would definitely do it again!

Wonderful stay. Positive: The studio was super clean and quite. 100% satisfied with the kitchen and bathroom. I especially love the view outside my window. The location is ok; not very close to the subway, but it's still within walking distance. Staff are very friendly, helpful, and responsive. Negative: The bed and pillows are too soft for me. Other than that, the whole experience was excellent.

Unit was as pictured. 10 mins Uber from down town. Will stay here again when visiting Philadelphia

Simon’s place was great. Awesome location, beautiful unit.

Interesting concept, but the layout is massive and very confusing. 1st floor is multi-layered which nobody tells you about and finding my way to the door for the first couple of times was a task. apartment is very average with bathroom downstairs from bed and small shower. Place has a very industrial feel with no rugs or anything "warm" and inviting. Simon is in touch but Sosuite has quite an annoying verification process added to give you "access" to the place. Not a bad experience, but definitely not great.

I always love staying in this place.

The unit matched the description shown in the pictures. Upon entry the key fob for access into the building was not there however, they were responsive in providing it the next day. The unit was clean, they can change the bathroom curtain but overall the unit was clean and had all amenities. The location was close to many food locations in the area. I would definitely stay here again.

nice place, comfortable, wish i would have realized sooner how small it is and the upstairs not having a door, the shower was a little uncomfortable because of the space (very little) but other than that it was a nice stay i would recommend if you can oversee those minor things. thanks for having us.

Place way smaller than expected, bathroom disgusting, stains all over wall shower little and stained floors. Weird smell inside the bathroom & the toilet wasn’t clean. 250 fee for the stay before you can check in.

The room was nice. Parking was difficult to find. Check in/out could have been more accommodating. However Simon was extremely responsive to any requests we had and we felt comfortable staying there with our two dogs.
