Fit the bill Positive: The location was convenient while I was visiting family in the area. Then had everything I needed. Negative: The bathroom floor tiles and probably subfloor were warped and a trip hazard. The bathroom generally was a bit of a mess not as clean as we would appreciate and the walls and shower were stained.

My stay at Sosuit was great. The gentleman at the desk was very helpful and informative. The loft was spacious, clean, and comfortable, and the neighborhood felt safe. I enjoyed walking to nearby restaurants and the grocery store, as well as the workout and recreation rooms. The only challenge was navigating the former high school building—it can feel like a maze, and I occasionally needed help finding my way. Better signage would be helpful. Overall, I had a great experience and would definitely stay here again without hesitation.

frustrating! Positive: We did not have breakfast. Negative: The suite was woefully under-equipped, and the service was unacceptably poor. SoSuite knew from the original reservation that there would be two guests, yet the suite was stocked with only one bath towel, two washcloths, and one dishcloth. This is simply not an acceptable level of preparation for a two-person stay for five nights. At 6:00 p.m. upon arrivalon, we contacted SoSuite to request basic items that should have been provided in the first place: 3 additional bath towels 2 hand towels 4 clothes hangers 3 kitchen towels 1 blanket 1 bath/shower mat We were told that we were out of luck because deliveries stopped at 4:00 p.m. and would not resume until 11:00 a.m. the following morning. While that was frustrating, what followed was even worse. Despite our request, it took 4–5 text messages, 3 phone calls, and another two full days before the requested items were finally delivered. And even after all that effort, the bath mat was never delivered at all. Having to repeatedly chase down basic necessities such as towels and a bath mat is completely unacceptable. These were not unusual or special requests—they were basic supplies that should have been available in a suite prepared for two guests. The combination of an inadequately stocked suite and extremely poor follow-through made this a very disappointing experience. SoSuite had every opportunity to correct the problem promptly but instead required us to repeatedly contact them over several days just to receive basic items. For the price and standard one would expect from a professionally managed accommodation, this level of service was unacceptable.

There were issues with the lock to get into the loft, and rectifying the issue took hours. The ac did not work and we lost power twice. The bathroom was not properly cleaned.
Do not book with Sosuite. Positive: The hotel was impeccably clean, but that is the only redeeming quality. I booked 2 nights in an apartment in West Philadelphia. Minutes before check-in, I was messaged and told my apartment was not available. I was offered a small, much less expensive room in Center City instead. I agreed to the change. On arrival, the room was blazing hot and the air conditioning was turned off. I turned it on and left for dinner. When I returned much later, I found the air conditioning had automatically turned itself off again. I turned it back on, showered to wash off the sweat, and went to sleep in my 90 degree hotel room. I woke up in a pool of sweat at 7AM to find that the room was still blazing hot because the air conditioning didn’t work. After having my reservation changed to a much lesser room, and then finding that room uninhabitable due to the heat, I informed the hotel management I was checking out and would not be staying there. They are now offering to return half of what I paid for an apartment, when I was only given a tiny room with no air conditioning. This is called a bait and switch scam. There is no hotel staff on site. All of their business is conducted by text message, and they are clearly off-shore as they will message you well after midnight. This is a very shady and questionable business, and I highly advise anyone considering booking with them to look elsewhere. They will absolutely rip you off. Negative: There is no hotel staff on site. Their practices are questionable at best, and they should be avoided at all costs.

I had a wonderful stay at this Airbnb and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area. The entire space was incredibly clean, neat, and well-maintained from top to bottom. It had a very warm and cozy atmosphere that made me feel instantly at home after a long day of exploring. The location was perfect, and the host provided everything I needed for a comfortable and seamless experience. I would absolutely love to stay here again on our next trip!
Great place! I wish they had something like this closer to downtown because the commute to where all the activities are is a hassle but it was sort of part of the fun for us. Overall beautiful place and would recommend as long as you don’t mind a commute every day you want to go into downtown. Area around wasn’t too sketchy.

The uniqueness of the building was really nice. The building does look like a high school on the outside and in the halls but having the roof top to relax on after dinner and the club room to read, shoot pool or watch tv made it feel like an adult playground. Check in was easy, all the instructions were provided in the app prior to arrival. When we got to the unit, everything looked just like the photos. The only recommendation I have is to replace the worn desk chair in the living room but I wasn’t there to work. The housekeeper didn’t leave any washcloths and I messaged the host who said they could provide some the next morning but I prefer to shower at night so I purchased some instead. Also snacks, water and coffee were provided. Finding parking was a challenge one evening when we returned late but we were able to find a space a few blocks over and felt safe walking to the building. Overall, the stay was great!
The parking situation is a little stressful. My fiancé and I decided to do a tour out in the city before we checked into the Airbnb. By the time we arrived at the Airbnb around 9 PM there was no parking. Best recommendation would be to explore the city, but make sure you head back to your Airbnb by at least 8 PM to find parking and from there, Uber wherever else you need to for the rest of the night. The neighborhood is very cute and there’s lots of little restaurants or cafés. We would stay here again!

Horribly lied to the whole time for help about the heating situation. No-one ever came to fix it. Positive: Location. Close to family and friends Negative: The over all service. From the day that I stepped into the Unit til the day that I left, their was no heat. My visit was solely for a visit with my sisters and the new baby. They could not stay because it was extremely cold. It felt like outside. What made it worse is that you lied and said that maintenance stopped by when they didn't. Then you lied and said that you would bring a space heater. It never came. Then I asked for a refund and you sent me a refund for one day. Never again!
The loft was everything I had envisioned! The host was responsive and friendly and the atmosphere was home like and welcoming. I would definitely recommend Simon at Sosuite!

Stay was great! The air unit makes a bit of a strange sound so that took some getting used to and also if you’re a light sleeper, it might be hard to get some rest. I slept fine though but the walls are thin so keep that in mind when booking! The place was clean and looks EXACTLY like the pictures. Parking was sometimes a bit tricky since it is on a fairly busy one-way street, but I didn’t have too many problems. Very enjoyable stay and would probably stay here again.

This is a very cool Airbnb! The building is a converted school and it has a lot of character, a great view, and the space is gorgeous. Unfortunately, the heaters were not functioning and the host was unresponsive in attempting to remedy the issue. We were bummed to cut our stay short and would love to return in warmer months.
The place was just as listed and Simon was very communicative. Parking wasn’t too bad either, and the place was clean and quiet. My only problem was working the heat unit. It read that it was 80 degrees in the room; however it was easily in the 50s. I was freezing, but managed by layering up with clothing. My friend and I both tried to get the heat working. Night one wasn’t too bad…..but for whatever reason night two and three it’s almost like the unit didn’t work or maybe I just didn’t know how to work it. This was the only thing that made my stay a bit uncomfortable. But everything else was pleasant.

This was such a unique and awesome stay! The building itself is impressive and historic. The gym and common area downstairs were very nice. Unfortunately the roof was closed for winter. The apartment itself was very cool, clean, and comfortable. The only downside in my personal opinion was that the washer and dryer were a combo and steam-dried clothes, so they had to be laid out to completely dry. I would absolutely stay here again!
For our stay me and my partner loved the decor of the suite. Our issues were with the heating during the middle of winter. We had both the upstairs and downstairs heating units blasting at the highest temperature and speed, yet the suite was still cold IN THE MIDDLE OF WINTER. To the point where me and my partner kept both of our winter hats on for our first night there. We even went to buy a space heater and heating blanket to keep warm. We also were only given one big towel when we booked for two people. Overall the layout of the air bnb was amazing. Yet the above issues were too prominent to gloss over.
This is a beautiful spacious, loft apartment and perfect for 2 people. It was very clean, quiet and relaxing. The gym is well appointed and it's nice to have elevators in addition to stairs.
My stay at Sosuite’s was very relaxing, and while I couldn’t access the roof due to the weather the lobby area was a pleasant surprise.
Parking was easy to find always, getting into our room was very easy, we were within 30 minutes of eveything to do! Was a pleasant stay.
This is a great location for anyone who needs to be close to University City, probably easiest public transit access in Philly. The building is awesome - rehabbed former high school. Bring warm clothes if you're there in wintertime because it does get a bit drafty.
It was exactly as advertised and easy to check in/out. We had no trouble finding parking; there are many surrounding streets with free parking (for the weekend). Would recommend for a weekend stay!

One thing that really impressed me was the availability of street parking, no matter the time of day.For the price, it was definitely worth the stay, and we had a wonderful time in Philly. Overall, the stay was great, but I wish the floor was cleaner or if a mop was left for me to use. There was also a strong smell coming from the garbage disposal that filled the first level of the loft. We also brought our service dog with us, and there was a bit of a situation with the front desk because the dog peeded on the steps outside. Even though we had cleaned the pee up he contacted Simon..Simin was very nice about the situation which we appreciated deeply.

My daughter and I stayed at Simon’s place for a few nights to catch a concert at The Mann and spend some time in Philly. The location was convenient to everything and I loved that the parking is easy and free. The apartment was spotless and beautiful. All of Simon’s instructions were very helpful. Disappointment Central Positive: The space itself was beautiful. That's as far as my compliments to for my time there. I really enjoyed how much space there was and it felt luxurious in that regard. You don't get to stay in a hotel with a full kitchen often, after all. The kitchen was stocked with basic amenities (besides salt and pepper... unless it was hiding) so cooking there isn't impossible. Still might need to do an exceptional amount of grocery shopping to make it work though. I suppose that's why this place urges you to do longer stays when you book at first. The lobby was also magnificent and very well stocked. It could very well be the room they take the most care of. Negative: After I came in, I noticed that there was no soap in the soap dispenser. The moment I noticed, I texted the manager for me to get soap for the morning. I ended up bathing myself with shampoo. It did the job, but I had hoped to get body soap the next morning as that's when they said they'd bring it. It was never placed outside my door. For context, I was only staying for two nights. I texted the second day in hopes of finally getting soap but alas it never arrived. They actually ended up texting me 14 minutes before my departure time (I had already left) saying that they left the body soap and wash towels that I requested outside of my door. Next is the gym. I have a regular gym schedule so a hotel gym is important to me. In the ad, the gym looked amazing and I was really looking forward to using it. I was disappointed to find out that a lot of the machines were out of order and dated. Then there's the air conditioning. Although, yes, there were two mini splits in the space, they did nothing to keep the space cool. We put the air conditioner to the lowest temperature in hopes to cool it down, but it was so humid the entire time. Lastly, this is no fault of their own, but walking around the block late at night is not advisable because the SHEER AMOUNT OF ROACHES THAT I SAW was enough to ensure that I never come back. I have never seen so many roaches just walking around the sidewalk or the stairs of an apartment building or hotel in my life. I was disgusted. Luckily, none were inside of the building that I could see. I can only imagine that they were coming from the abandoned building across the street. I will never visit this place again. Sidenote. The layout of the living room area was also just weird. Not centering the TV with the couch is just awkward positioning.
This is the third time we have stayed there. It is comfortable, clean, and convenient to everything in West Philly.

This building converted to homestays. Originally, intrigued by architectural beautiful design of building, i found out i Positive: Love the loft stay, bed so comfortable, very roomy. Building is massive with expansive hallways. Quiet and pleasant. Kitchen fully functional with everything you needed. Suitable for longterm stay. Negative: Bare floors, bare feet picks up lots of dust. Must wear slippers!!

The studio could use some TLC. It’s stark and uninviting- we did not want to hang out there very much. The mini split was very noisy- had to shut it off at night. The towels felt like sandpaper. There was plenty of on street parking. Accessibility was convenient. We did not use the gym. The building itself is very cavernous and noisy- nothing in place to absorb sound. We did feel safe and people seemed friendly.

Beautiful loft conversion and served us well but felt a bit cold and empty. I wouldn’t recommend for a comfy stay but it did have the basic functions for a place to stay when visiting Philly.
Positive: The room is fabulous. I actually love it. Negative: Before letting people stay, at least they should ensure the guest will not interrupt another. First day I arrived was same day as I left because one of the guy stayed next to my door came and threatened me. I tried to contact the property’s owner through the chat, but it turned own with just apologized texts. That is unacceptable. After that I just left and got another hotel “ROOst East Market,” and I recommend everyone to go there.

our stay at this airbnb was not that great. after a night out, we were locked out of the apartment for 2 hours and had to pay out of pocket for a locksmith due to technical issues with the smart lock. simon was not good at communicating overall on the situation and not very willing to give a refund for it until airbnb support got involved. the air conditioning & heating are faulty, shower was dirty when we arrived. there are not many pots and pans to cook with. other than that the place looks like the pictures and essential stores were pretty close by.

This place is amazing!! SoSuite will be my new Philly home place in the future. It's located around the corner from my daughter's house so that is wonderful. But even better -- the apartment is comfortable and well-appointed. I seriously can't wait for my next trip to enjoy the very cool renovated space. So glad I found it.

Staying here was great! The only reason I gave it four stars out of five was the issues I had with the television during my stay. It was out until the final night, which happened to be the one night I got back late. It would have been nice for it to be working during the stay, but the team was very responsive to me reporting the issue and trying to get it fixed. The place looks just like the photos, check in was seamless, and it was close to public transportation and in walking distance of cute cafes/coffee shops.

I booked a place for 2 days, I show up, it had not been cleaned from the previous guest, I get it stuff happens. I guess I wasn't expecting that the only thing I would be offered was a sorry and a refund. I still had to make arrangements for another location after I had traveled and worked all day. It was a 2 day rental why cancel the second day? No questions about if/when I need to book again. Just Bye Felicia. I'm in PHL weekly and continously pay for lodging. Just pointing out the customer service issue so you can improve. I actually liked everything else. Even the security lady was helpful.

The airbnb is so pretty. The unit is inside a building which can only be accessed by the residents for security measures. Can find few restaurants in a walking distance and the neighborhood area is beautiful. The unit is clean. Recommended!

Soon as you open the door it smelled fresh and clean. The pictures are exactly what you’re getting! It’s absolutely beautiful inside. The pricing is amazing, the view was amazing, everything about this airbnb was amazing! Thank you so much, I’m so happy i chose this place. Can’t wait to stay with you all again!

We enjoyed our stay at SoSuite. The room was beautiful! Our only issue was an ongoing AC problem. The AC did not work well, & there was a heat wave. The room temp was not dangerous but was VERY warm (80 in afternoon) which made it hard to cool down from the heat wave/sleep. SoSuite was very responsive in chat, but seemed reluctant to send maintenance. They tried to fix via text first, which meant us sleeping hot another night. There are two AC units with seperate controls, but they told us when troubleshooting that setting them to different temps will make them stop working (they were not set to the same temp when we arrived, & there was no info about the ac in the check in or room). AC was actually broken & we moved to a new room for our last night & got a partial refund, but AC instructions at check in could have expedited the process and/or prevented the issue. The washer/dryer in the unit also did not work (left clothes soaked). GREAT place, but needs better appliance care.
