My stay at Sosuite at West Lofts was a great experience overall. The check-in process was seamless, and there was convenient parking nearby. I also appreciated being able to see my vehicle directly from the windows. The building was spacious and quiet, and the location was great with the L train within walking distance. My only minor concern was a couple of stains on the fabric couch in the living room. Aside from that, everything was just fine, and I had no other issues during my stay. I would definitely consider staying here again!

Great space very clean and well kept. Felt like a home away from home

I enjoyed the location of the loft because I was specifically visiting west Philadelphia-there are several restaurants and stores within3-10 blocks. The space is designed well, but the cleanliness wasn’t the best-I noticed significant staining on the couch and the floor had hair and other debris. The kitchen and bed appeared to be very clean. The host was responsive.

My boyfriend and I absolutely loved our stay here! This was our first trip to Philly, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay. The bnb was very big, spacious, clean, and nice. We had plenty of room to feel comfortable and really enjoyed our stay. Everything was just as we hoped, and it made our first trip to Philly even more enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again!

What a cute and spacious space in an awesome location and historic building! SoSuite has an incredible portal with very clear instructions - not to mention how responsive they are with all my questions. The SoSuite reps online and the front desk person on site were all friendly!

Conveniently located apartment, we enjoyed our stay

If we go again to visit Philadelphia we'd stay here again. Positive: Gym in the basement was great. There are many cars parked around the building, but we could find a spot every time we need one. The parking at night is free but you need to pay attention to the signs. Negative: Arrived at 9 PM, nobody was at the front reception to open the door for us. Luckily someone was exiting the building, and we were able to get into the apartment complex. Since we had a code from the apartment door we got inside.

Fantastic building in a practical location Positive: A beautiful apartment! Everyone was impressed, and the building (a former high school) is quite impressive). The room was well-furnished with a kitchen, an oven, washer-dryer and functional bathroom. Everything was neat! Negative: It tends to run cold in the winter due to the high ceilings (and the low temperatures in Philadelphia). This is just something to be aware of, not necessarily a flaw.

Very Nice Stay. Positive: I loved how attentive the staff were! they answered and made sure that my needs were mostly met. it was Halloween weekend, it wasn’t much noise. Parking was like any other place , drive around once or twice , use spot angle and you’ll be fine!! I had one complaint and they fixed it within 24 hours if that. Thank you guys again! Negative: I just didn’t like how the shower was so small and the air conditioner was over the head of the bed but everything else was great actually. I loved it and i look forward to returning.

This was a good location for our needs. The unit was nice and had everything we needed. We were very disappointed with the bathroom. The shower did not have good pressure and at times it was almost like a trickle. The bathroom sink backed up easily when you ran water, even just to brush your teeth. The commode seat was very stained and scratched, and really should be replaced. We are in our 70s and we’re not aware that the bathroom was on a different level from the bedroom. It made it difficult to get up at night and maneuver down the stairs just to use the bathroom. We would probably not return to this unit due to this.

Great place to stay when in Philly. Hotels are really expensive/not worth the money they are charging. Def would stay here when I come back

We had a great stay! The first room we were given hadn't been cleaned, but we got in touch with Simon and he was able to give us a fresh (and beautiful!) room within ten minutes. The rest of our stay was lovely.

The stay was great! Super nice loft style apartment, very clean and tidy. Simon was incredibly responsive and the staff at the apartment was great too. Very cool big building. I do hope they create some grassy areas where there’s room outside, for dogs.

Amazing apartment, its close to everything. It was difficult finding my way to the apartment since its a huge building but so worth it. Simon is very professional and whatever I needed he made sure I got. Very clean place, and dog friendly.

The room was great, very clean. The 4pm check in and all of the extra little charges were frustrating.

Noise travels easily between apartments so light sleepers may struggle. Although I had no issues. I did struggle with the code on the door working intermittently but SoSuite were quick to respond when contacted. I didn’t use the kitchen facilities during my stay but was impressed it was a full kitchen. Shower pressure not very strong in my apt but WIFI strong and liked there were laundry facilities within the apartment.

everything is good. The space is big and facility is excellent. One problem is the shower head has little water flow.

Positive: The room was very spacious and clean. I did have to call housekeeping but within 10 minutes they came and fixed the issues Negative: Everything was good except for the parking. The parking was horrible! You would that a place this nice would have a section for its guest but it doesn't and the street parking is terrible. Also there is no ramps to get into the building other then a the loading dock. If you dont mind climbing a few steps no big deal, but I feel sorry for those handicap, who have trouble walking or carrying groceries.

2 stars because this place was so dirty. We immediately noticed hair all over the floor from the last guests. Once we started looking closer at the floor we realized it was filthy, crumbs and hair all over the place. We had to purchase cleaning supplies and as I was wiping the counters there were more crumbs on the counter. Then I opened the dishwasher to find the racks covered in mold! The couch was covered in stains and the bed covered in hair. We were disgusted. The large windows in the unit let in the cold air, so no matter how high you have the heater the downstairs is freezing. We ended up leaving 3 days before checkout due to the terrible conditions. The paid parking referenced is a joke, it's people selling their own parking spaces and the closest one was 10 blocks away.

Amazing place

Great place would stay again!

This is a great option. I would certainly recommend it. The actual unit is very nice and very well-kept. For the most part, it's very clean. I'll say more about that below. Regarding cleanliness: There are reviews about hair, which I believe comes from the floors. The place is by no means dirty or disgusting. There were clean towels and bedding. The floor could benefit from a mopping to remove any debris left behind, but it's perfect. That said, there were no visible spills or dirt on the ground. Location: There are delicious food and coffee shops that are walkable. Honeysuckle was phenomenal. And it is 6-8 minutes away! Check-in/out: Straightforward process Parking: Street parking is pretty easy to navigate. With a little patience, you will find a spot. Simon: He was very responsive and helpful. If you want a host who provides the necessary details in advance and responds quickly, he's perfect. I will certainly book again.

This loft was beautiful! Spacious, clean and felt like home. When you walk in it smelled amazing! Simon was very responsive and helpful as well. The area is a great area as well. I would definitely book again in the future.

The place has a nice design, but it was pretty dirty, bathroom was small and outdated. I stayed 3 nights $400 and $150 for my 2 small dogs. I thought the pet fee was $25 per night, but it’s $25 per pet per night which is not really explained in the description in my opinion. For the price it was just too dirty. I would have just stayed at a hotel for a little more money. They did ask me to review the stay midway and I explained the situation. They offered a free cleaning, but I had to decline because I had my dogs and it was difficult to get us all out of the house. The pictures look cool but once you get up close you can really see the dust and dirt. You only get 2 towels and a thin blanket on your bed, so if you do stay with someone on the couch I would bring another blanket. Don’t get back late it takes a long time to find parking and you will be walking at least 5 minutes back to the apartment (incase you need to carry a lot of bags).

Very nice building and apartment, looked just like the pictures! Only minor issues: the shower was a bit small for our taste and parking was very hard to come by after a certain time of night. You’re lucky if you find parking close to the building.

The place was exactly as pictured, very spacious and nice. Good distance from downtown and all other places we visited. We did have an issue with the ceiling leaking water and soaking the bed for two nights.

My two kids and I stayed for the week here. It was great! Clean, easy, organized. And I love a place where I don’t have to do an hours worth of chores before leaving!

I booked this apartment pretty last minute before coming to the city for work. Simon was super nice and informative. The apartment looked exactly like the pictures and was very nice for the price. The place was fairly clean upon arrival, just a couple hairs here and there that I noticed from past guests. The AC works amazing, which was great for how hot it has been lately. Check-in and check-out was pretty seamless and made for an easy entry and exit. The only thing, I was encouraged to purchase weekly parking at a local garage, but luckily I did not. There is plenty of free street parking around the apartment building and I never had any problems finding a spot. Overall, I would definitely stay again!

Great stay, good location to get to downtown. Would recommend to anyone needing an easy place to stay. The only downfall was parking. I would recommend a later checkout to arrange your baggage.

Simons place was a good stay. It was very clean and spacious. The people in the building were very nice and welcoming. Kitchen is low on amenities but we worked with what we had. But otherwise, we would stay here again.

I had a nice time at the Sosuite loft. It's big for the price. My only complaint is that the check in instructions could have been clearer. I got many automated texts from Sosuite but none of them contained actual information about where I'd be staying. You need a key fob to get into the building, which we didn't know, we also weren't told exactly what room we'd be in, just vague directions in the gigantic building. Had to text them for the wifi info. They were pretty responsive so that was fine, I think they could just work on streamlining the process. Parking wasn't too bad in the neighborhood overnight.

It's a great place to stay in West Philly. Clean and friendly host. I would stay here again and recommend it to friends. 4.5 for West Philly 🙂

Great place!

Such a unique experience, to be able to stay at a historic building. The loft is gorgeous, every single detail was taken into account. The hosts make a really good job, making sure you get the support you need. The area is lovely as well, full of coffee shops.

I’d like to start by saying I love this building! It’s an old high school turned building loft and it just gives it a certain charm and ambience that I’m sure is hard to beat. The apartment itself was great, it was spacious, the AC was wonderful given the time of year and climate and best of all it was in a decently located area. The host was also super responsive and accommodating making the stay even more pleasant. Definitely looking forward to staying here again when visiting Philadelphia

Very good comfortable stay. Especially loved the area because West Philly is such a special town and it’s got a good location. Wished that the shower was a bit stronger and to maybe have better communication about key fobs (some of the detailed check in process at this airbnb is complicated in general) but overall i liked my stay. It had everything I pretty much needed.

We had a wonderful stay. The unit is very nice and comfortable. The building is great and has a huge common area/lounge that we didn't use but looked very nice. We would look forward to staying there next time we need a place in West Philadelphia.

Great spot for such a steal! Beware there’s only street parking unless you purchase through SoSuite. It’s very much like a hotel experience where amenities are at a charge like late check out, but the per night stay is low to balance that. Very worth it and they were very accommodating when I came late and requested a discount for the time I didn’t use!

My boyfriend and I enjoyed our stay with Sosuite! Spent two nights in Philly for a concert and the loft was a perfect distance between many of the major landmarks and museums. The host was very responsive, we would book again!

It was a really nice place to stay, although we didn’t get a chance to fully experience Philly due to the festival being an all day activity but overall my stay at this place was decent. My only grievances is the shower being entirely too small and there was a bit of hair/pet hair on the couch. Everytime we sat down and got up hair was all over the back of our clothes. Would I book another stay here? Probably so, but it would have to be myself. *shrugs*

Overall our stay at the Sosuite apartment was okay and would be a sufficient place for a short stay. However, we spent a week there and found the amenities to be insufficient for a longer stay. For example, the kitchen was minimally stocked, including just one small spoon, three forks, no baking sheet, and only olive oil, salt, and pepper for seasonings. The soap pump/distributor in the shower didn't work, and the bathroom as a whole showed signs of heavy use/dirt/hair. The apartment had a strong odor, although it wasn't a problem because we could sleep with the windows open. This would be a bigger issue in summer or winter. We liked the couch in the living space, the size of the common area, and the location. Check-in/out was relatively simple. Note that to get into the building, there is a large flight of stairs that may be challenging for those with accessibility limitations. For the price, we hoped for more basic amenities and maintenance/cleanliness.

It was an amazing stay. I wanted to book an Airbnb on the University city side so that we could easily walk to University of Pennsylvania. Since it was graduation time the prices were really high and that was the only drawback for me. But overall there were no flaws with the apartment. Really spacious and well equipped. I would definitely highly recommend this space. Recommendation for other guests would be to get a housekeeping added service if you’re at the apartment for a longer stay. We were there 5 days so the bathroom did feel a little messy by the end of it. So tip would be to get the service at least once in between the stay period. Very happy with the experience. Host was very quick with his responses. We also got to witness a beautiful sunrise every morning which was an added bonus 😄

I was in the midst of relocating so I booked a week long stay with Sosuite at this renovated historic highschool. I loved how the building was repurposed and the space and location were appropriate for the price paid. I would definitely recommend this stay to anyone coming to the Philly area. A couple notes: the neighborhood is pretty walkable but not in the “thick” of anything, reasonable distance to public transit. It’s fairly urban and parking a little challenging, but coming from LA, I never felt unsafe and had no issues with parking. I got the impression that this renovated HS may be perceived as gentrification by the locals. Sosuite gave me exactly what I was looking for, but the multiple avenues of communication (text, airBnB message, and a resident portal) became a bit confusing, and over time, a bit impersonal. They may be using AI as their host chat system. Either way, all good and a cool spot to stay. Thanks Sosuite

I love the vibe of the building and the neighborhood. Even the building doesn’t have parking, finding a spot was really easy. Love the surroundings, beautiful neighborhood. The host always responded quickly and friendly. Definitely staying here again.

This building is a renovated high school. It has a really neat feel! The gym and lobby are fabulous. Front desk staff is super friendly and helpful. The space itself is plenty large and comfortable. It looks just like the pictures. You are in Philadelphia. Find parking on the street and be okay with sirens at night and you’ll have a great stay!

The place looked like it’s pictures and was warm and secure (lock-wise, etc.). Nice windows that let in good light and made the place feel more spacious than it was (and it was already a large space). It was, however, one of the dirtier places I’ve stayed. Lots of hair all over the bathroom, on the side tables in the sleeping space upstairs. Also, there were roaches in the space which is not cool at any price (and certainly not at the nightly rate listed for this place). Why am I—as well as the previous customer—being charged a cleaning fee to come into a place that is not spotless, that has roaches showing up in the bathroom on the second day during my visit? I’ve stayed all over the world and have been using Airbnb since it started, and have never seen a roach at a listing. The fact that I had to purchase Lysol wipes and Raid (which I left behind so the next customer can have a line of defense) is something I did not anticipate having to do and hope to never have to do again.

This was the perfect space for a brief visit to UPenn. The loft is a 20 minute walk from campus . Check in was smooth and I had all the amenities I needed for a pleasant stay.

The place was modern and unique, being inside an old school. My bf and I especially loved the lobby room with the ping pong+ pool table. When we got there, the bathroom towel rack was broken and kitchen counter was missing a panel but it didn’t bother us that much. Host Simon was lovely and great at communication. We did wish there was a tv in the bedroom as well and some more cozy touches.. walls are also very thin, we were able to hear our neighbors and their pets the whole trip. Otherwise, a cute spot to come back to after a day out.

Stayed for 30 days. It was nice apartment with nice amenities. Simon and staff were friendly responsive and friendly!! Would stay again
