Not a place we will return to Positive: Location. The entrance and hallways were lovely. Negative: The shower was lousy. No water pressure and the hot water didnt get very hot. Valet parking was busy due to a special event. We waited over 30 minutes to get our car.
Loved my stay at SoSuites. Positive: It was clean, updated and with nice amenities. Unfortunately, I did not have time to check out the gym. Great Nespresso style coffeemaker. Negative: The only small glitch was that the water pressure is not good in the shower. That is likely a building problem more than the apartment.
It was good Positive: Location. It doesn’t get any better Negative: Not always easy to access help. Called the number given to have valet to bring our car out. That line was continuously busy at 7:30. Went to lobby and called that person. Luckily valet guy answered the phone
Convenient Location but Photos Did Not Match the Unit Positive: The location was amazing. It was right across the street from Independence Hall. It was convenient to all of the historic attractions in Old Town Philadelphia. Check in was extremely easy. Negative: The unit I stayed in did not match the photos in this description. While the unit included most of the amenities in the photos, the photos displayed a loft with a spiral staircase. The loft did not exist in my unit. It also did not include couch. The TV was not positioned in a way that made viewing from bed easy. The photos appeared to separate the TV from the bed, which would have been better since, I was traveling with my young son who has an earlier bedtime than I do. It was still a good value, but not as pictured. Therefore this review is only getting seven starts for a bate and switch.
Negative: The water pressure in the shower was very weak
Positive: Location, walkable to all sites and musums in old city area, giid bus connectiin to other sightsbeds Negative: The bed was not comfortabke and pillows made us sneeze Microwave did not work. Rooms are stark. Its basically a long term apartment buulding with rooms set aside fir short term rental
Excellent staff, great amenities. Great location. However, it’s clear that the owners have decided not to invest further Positive: The location is excellent in the on-site valet parking that’s offered is amazing. Negative: Every single room on the second floor needs some type of repair or update. The showers in particular need a vast overhaul. Either there is no water pressure or the showers vibrate on the warm temperature so loud that you can hear the vibration in the next room. My shower vibrates just as loud and when my neighbor takes a shower, I can hear their shower vibrate.
I would stay here again Positive: The location was great. The price & value were great. It was nice having a kitchen and washer. I loved the old Ledger Building. I suggest requesting a room facing the street, not the inner courtyard. Negative: It was very noisy in the morning. They were doing construction and there was loud banging. While the hotel provided us with earplugs and a white noise machine, these were not anywhere close to being able to cover up that noise. Also, there is an online pre-checkin process requiring a security deposit, credit card information and a photo of my identification. This was communicated via text a few days before the reservation, and it could very easily have been a phishing attempt. I would strongly encourage Sosuite to change this process!
Positive: Aesthetically pleasing! Negative: A lot of markings and scuffs all over the walls in our room. Made it look dirty. Also unfortunately, the parking garage was under construction, so valet and parking was unavailable on site. The main reason we booked was for the onsite parking. The garage construction went on all night and was frustrating trying to get sleep.
Worth it for the money and location Positive: Beds were very comfortable. Great location. Perfect size kitchen and bathroom. Negative: Pillows were too thick that they hurt my neck. I had to sleep without one! Also, there was hair on the bathroom floor, toilet and bathroom sink. I brought my own cleaning supply wipes thankfully.
Great comfortable stay. Will do it again. Positive: Location is excellent. Room is very comfortable with a nice kitchenette. Valet parking was simple. Acceptance of dogs (with a charge) is great. Negative: There was a little noise from traffic and airpalnes.
This was a good choice as it was near the things I wanted to visit and relatively inexpensive. Positive: This location was perfect for me. The room was clean and comfortable. No issues with check-in or check-out. Negative: The shower water pressure was ... not good. It would be nice to have a little shelf space in the bathroom. There wasn't any aside from the medicine cabinet. I found the room temperature controls to be confusing.
Positive: Nice location Negative: The room was very dirty, resulting in us washing dirty floors ourselves. Vallet parking service is barely functional as the car was never ready, even with prior notice. Unfriendly reception staff.
Positive: location, location, location… and the history of the building itself is pretty amazing.
Great location. Positive: The location to all the historical sites. It's right across the street from Independence hall. Negative: Nothing.
Positive: The location is perfect with great food nearby.
Super loud Positive: Super loud here. Didn't sleep during my 10-day stay. 2nd floor room faced the "courtyard": roof with mechanicals and the valet parking (constant horn beeping). Also 5am trash pickups numerous times during my stay. Very thin walls and neighbor's voices carried through the ceiling air vents. Drafty old windows. Would not recommend The Ledger Building.
Negative: Noisy
Positive: Setup was great Negative: I couldn't stay longer
Great, very comfortable place to stay! Positive: Location is excellent! Facility is clean, room was fully updated with great kitchenette and bathroom. We were able to take our pet because SoSuite is PetFriendly. Valet parking was easy. The lounge with fussball and billiards was neat. Negative: The shower was very nice, however, it needs grab bars especially for older folks like us. The water temperature tended to vary between the shower head and the hand-held.
Positive: This apartment is so pretty and clearer. they provide kitchen utensils, a wash machine, and powder for it. There is also a secure parking and a valet. It is very atmospheric and beautiful 😍
Positive: Beautiful building, lovely apartment and very nice staff. Negative: It was a very cold night and my room was a little cold
Not my usual SoSuite experience. Positive: It was clean and there weren't bugs. Negative: No front desk attendant for 10 min (they're splitting with another SoSuite), no water pressure, water scalding or freezing, room temp inconsistent despite heater running constantly. No fitted sheets or duvet cover - they folded a flat sheet around the mattress and layered the duvet between two more flat sheets. Portal didn't book extras properly. Bed too low for comfort and soft enough for back pain. No deks to work at. Kitchen table tiny.
Great! Positive: So close to everything, perfect one bedroom apartment even with a washer dryer Negative: Random but the water pressure was so bad
Confortable, seguro y limpio Positive: Ubicación. Limpieza. Tranquilidad.
Positive: The location, the room, the staff. Negative: The parking was challenging for a larger truck.
Great location Positive: Location Negative: No view from window
Appartamento molto bello, tutto nuovo e in posizione centrale. Ci è piaciuto molto!!
Positive: Super Lage.
Laute Klimaanlage
Best place to stay for visit to Philadelphia! Positive: Proximity to landmarks! Negative: Wish the WiFi password was included in check in info.
We plan on using this location in the future. Positive: Perfect location for our needs. Negative: View from the room - courtyard with trucks
It is wonderful for my stay. Positive: It’s comfortable and convenient. It’s located in a good place that near bus stop and famous scene. Negative: None
I recommend this place to anyone who wants to be in the heart of Philly! Positive: Loved the location! Right across the street from Independence Hall! Very helpful staff. Used valet parking to avoid trying to find parking elsewhere that likely would have cost at least as much.
Location is great Positive: Location Negative: These are apartments, not a hotel. Staff are kind, but not very helpful
Positive: Excellent and helpful staff. The room was exactly as advertised and the amenities were great. I forgot a t-shirt for the next day. I was able to wash and dry to have a clean short for the next day.
Positive: Very central
Positive: Convenient location Negative: The bed covering was incredibly lumpy and made for sporadic coverage. I wanted to bundle up and was not able to do so with all the lumps.
High standard apartment Positive: Best location in town - just in the neighbourhood od Old Philly (50m to LibertyBell in Independence NP). Hotel in historical building; very good standard, comfort and stylish apartment with fully equipped kitchen, 24h reception. Negative: Everything was perfect.
Positive: It was a great location close to all the historic sites. I appreciated the fact that it is a renovated building which has retained the beautiful lobby and marble floors. I could check my bag after 10am so I was able to enjoy my last day without taking it with me. Negative: A dog was barking a lot near my room. The big bank of A/C units outside were really noisy. I had to take a tablet to be able to sleep.
Stay next to the historical Philly Positive: Situated across the street from the historical Philadelphia. Could not stay any closer. Many parking garages nearby. Very convinient. Negative: Nothing to dislike.
Excellent studio in an appartment hotel with efficient staff Positive: The staff at the reception was very efficient and welcoming. The room was spacious with high ceilings, over 4 meters above the bed. The room had big refrigerator with complementary water. It had also a nescafe machine and complimentary coffe . Super! Negative: I got a lot of text messages before my arrival. I understand if some need to be sent but there were too many reminders.
Nice area but VERY noisy could not sleep at all Positive: The location is great. Just a walking distance to the Liberty Bell and there is Wawa across the street to get some necessities. Negative: It was very noisy. I traveled a lot and this is the first time I had the most unpleasant sleep because of the noise. The noise started from 9pm until 2 in the morning. So loud like a lawn mowing we could not sleep because of it. We thought people cleaning the park across the street and thought it was crazy because why would they clean the park in the middle of the night. We raised this issues that same night but the staff said there were no any notice about the noise. I think that was non sense. It’s either that or they gave us the noisiest room in the building. Then in the morning we found out the noise was coming from the AC in the building! I’m pretty sure they knew about that but just played clown. So disappointed. I went back feeling sick because of no sleep. Definitely not coming back again. Our room was on the 2nd floor btw.
A wonderful experience at a great value Positive: The location couldn’t be any better, also there is a kitchen, a very large , modern TV, the bathroom is very tasteful, the entire space is modern and very clean. beds and pillows are comfortable and didn’t hear any noises.
