Nice place to stay overall, but I wasn’t completely comfortable with the location in terms of safety. The front desk could have also been more helpful. I requested a Pack ’n Play for my infant, but it was provided without sheets. When I asked for sheets and an extra towel, I was told they couldn’t accommodate the request because housekeeping had already left for the day. The Airbnb itself was very nice, and the patio was a great addition. However, the overall experience could have been better. Just keep in mind that you get what you pay for.

Our group of five booked a last minute Halloween trip to Philadelphia, and this Sosuite apartment was the perfect home base. Simon was a great host, he was highly responsive to my questions from booking through checkout. The space was clean, well furnished and matched the listing perfectly. All in all we would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a stay in the city!

The security deposit is paid directly to Sosuite (in addition to the cost on Airbnb). I was given the option to choose between a $75 nonrefundable or $250 refundable (if nothing is damaged) deposit.

We had an incredible stay at SoSuite. The space was just what we needed, location was close to downtown but still private enough to have peace and quiet at night. We were also delightfully surprised at the Restaurant attached to the building. The food and drinks were incredible and the hours are convenient to have a late night bite. Overall we had a great time and our host made everything so easy.

We loved this place! Close to the SEPTA station, not far from anything really. The view and suite are phenomenal. Wish we could’ve stayed longer. The building is nice, we were greeted by a very nice gentlemen at the front desk. Amazing stay all around.

Very nice Terrace and pretty apartment

The property demands to fill a deposit before check in Positive: Nice big flat. Negative: The neighborhood didn’t feel safe. There can be more kitchen utensils to use.

Overall good place to stay, looked like the pictures, there was 3 actual beds and 2 full bathrooms so that was good. Kitchen and bathrooms were clean. Floors were a bit dusty maybe but overall clean. Patio had a lot of flies hanging around so didn't really go outside there but decent view. Check in and check out was super easy and straightforward. Parking (paid) on premises is convienient because it's in and out access. However, only issue I had was the first night, I arrived 1am and the parking gate was open, I went to the lower garage where I saw 2 hooded figures (very obv) run and duck behind a car as they saw my headlights. I did call Sosuite and let them know of this at that time and they said they would discuss with their security -- not sure what happened afterwards, but the gate remained opened the rest of my visit, which was a bit unsettling since anyone can just use the basement elevator to bypass the front desk and be in the building. The room itself is great tho!

Great and spacious room!

Host was responsive and location was spacious but unfortunately sheets were stained and dirty, dust was everywhere and all surfaces were sticky. Parking wasn’t clear and I was written a violation. Luckily we brought our own blankets so we laid on top of those. The space isn’t bad but there definitely needs to be a priority to clean.

Spacious, clean apartment in Callowhill section of Philly. The large deck with a nice view of the skyline is a bonus. Front desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and host was very responsive to texts. Definitely a good deal! Guests should be aware that the pet fee (and onsite parking fee if you choose that) is charged separately after you book, not bundled with the total cost on Airbnb. And they require a refundable security deposit. All legitimate add ons, especially for an urban space, just a little different than our usual Airbnb bookings.

Loved staying here! Being just a few blocks from China Town, having easy access to bike share locations, and being a short distance from the subway station made exploring the city very easy from this spot. The space was clean and cozy and the rooftop patio space has a great view of the skyline. If I ever come back to Philly, I will certainly seek this listing first.

STAY AWAY Positive: It was nice to have a terrace. Onsite parking was helpful Negative: This property had all the charm of a halfway house. This may have been the most overpriced, disappointing booking I have ever made on this site. There was one working elevator in a large building. The wood on the terrace was rotting and broken in many places, reflective of the lack of upkeep in the entire property. The kitchen had the most minimal set up, we had to use the dishwasher after every meal. No extra blankets or towels. The neighborhood is terrible. At over $800 a night, this was an outrageously disappointing experience. The price to stay in that kind of neighborhood should be reflective of the location, not upcharged as if we were in Rittenhouse Square. I had to book it after my original sosuite reservation was cancelled because the property closed, and on graduation weekend for most schools in Philly, this was one of the few choices left that served our needs. The fact that I had to pay for parking on top of the room charge was an outrage. I would never recommend this location and left feeling like the subject of an epic swindle.

Clean beautiful apartment! We loved the big windows and natural light. Unfortunately, it was rainy so we couldn’t enjoy the balcony.

It was a great place overall, though I would have enjoyed if there is less dust on toilet paper.

The Airbnb was a perfect setting for a weekend trip. The host was incredibly responsive with any and all questions. The place itself was very spacious. The view from the patio area was great! It was clean and looked just like the photos. There is paid parking available at this location as well, which helped us avoid street parking in a tight area. The location in Philly looked a little rough, but we had zero issues moving between the Airbnb and other locations. Would definitely book again!

Nice place, clean, spacious, good system for getting into the building. Someone came banging on our door and yelling at 11:30pm one night. When confronted they said they were accidentally banging at yelling at the wrong apartment unit. The next night there was a lot of yelling and commotion at 5:30am in the hallway. Also the immediate neighborhood isn’t great and I don’t recommend walking around unless it’s morning time.

This was a beautiful stay! Loved the large windows with a view of the city. There were clear instructions and everyone was friendly. Very responsive host and helped with any questions quickly.

While the accommodations didn’t fully meet my expectations, I want to highlight that Simon was an excellent host. He was very responsive, understanding, and went out of his way to address the concerns promptly. The issue was handled in a fair and amicable way, which I truly appreciated. His professionalism and willingness to make things right made a big difference in the overall experience.

This spot was the perfect location for our girl's weekend. The apartment had a wonderful balcony to gather together in, plenty of space, and was clean and welcoming. We also enjoyed chatting with residents of the building during our stay, and they were all friendly and welcoming to visitors. Would reccomend for group trips!

The apartment is spacious, charming, and well-furnished. The balcony, which overlooks the city, adds a special touch. The only drawback is the kitchen setup. I was traveling with two children and two elderly people, and we usually opted to cook our own meals in the evening. The space would be ideal for this, were it not for the limited kitchenware. There was only one frying pan and not enough plates or cutlery for six people. There were also no basic items, such as dish towels or placemats. With a small investment of around $50, these needs could be met and guests who plan to use the kitchen could enjoy much more comfort.

We come to the city to celebrate holidays with our adult children and were scouting this place for next Thanksgiving. We’d have to pack our own pots and pans, so we’re not sure we’ll choose to this property

Would not recommend. Couldn't wait to come back home. Positive: It was spacious. Kitchen had most things that we would need to cook simple meals. Negative: The unit was not cleaned well. There were dirty (and by that I mean gross) towels in the washing machine. There was a used shower cap left in the bathroom. Floors, coffee table, and couch was covered in crumbs that I had to clean so that our 1-year-old could move around. Our feet and socks were very dirty even after just 30 min of walking around the apartment. We couldn't do laundry because of the dirty laundry inside the washing machine, which didn't help the situation. I understand there is not much the property owner/manager can do about this but there is an overwhelming marijuana smell all around and inside the building. One of the bedrooms was surrounded by large windows, which looked nice, but was very cold and this room didn't warm up even after changing the set point of the thermostat (this made the other areas of the unit too warm but didn't help the bedroom with large windows). I had to wear double layers to be able to sleep. While downtown and the convention center were a convenient 15-20 min walk, the area around the building didn't feel safe and I had to take an Uber to come back after sun was down. I'm an easy traveler and I rarely complain. But this trip was very disappointing and I would not recommend if you're traveling with family.

Affordable easy place to stay close to tourist locations in Philly

We stayed here for our girls getaway this weekend and it was the perfect place. The apartment was spacious, had beautiful views, and was close to everything we wanted to do. I couldn’t recommend a place more! We will for sure be back to stay again <3

we were in town for an event and this place was fantastic, not only because of how close it was but also because it had an attached restaurant that was open late as well as a balcony that made our stay so much more enjoyable. we'll definitely be looking to stay at this place next year if it's available!

I love the loft , it’s a beautiful stay I would give it 8/10 because I feel as though u should be able to smoke on patio and also because you should be able to check in before 4pm other wise everything is perfect

This place was fantastic. It was really nice to be able to sit out on the deck and enjoy the Philadelphia night lights. The neighborhood is up and coming and walkable to many great restaurants/attractions and even Chinatown. Parking on the street was really easy over the weekend.

Nice place with a good view from the many windows and private balcony! Had to jump through a few extra hoops to book but was worthwhile.

This was a perfect one night stay for me, my fiancée, MIL and grandma! Needed to check out some apartments in the area for med school & it was a perfect fit.

Such a beautiful unit—truly even better in person! The photos don’t quite capture how lovely and spacious it really is. The balcony is huge, the windows are stunning, and the natural light throughout the space is amazing. The neighborhood can be a bit noisy since it's right off a busy residential street, but as a city girl, I didn’t mind it at all—just part of the charm! I’ll definitely be booking again the next time I’m in Philly.

Pros : Really loved the location and the place itself. Not a bad deal for the size. Very quiet unit with concrete ceilings and floors. Parking available for a fee was helpful. Loved the area. Cons: We loved the view from the roof deck, but the dumpster below made it hard to enjoy because of the smell of garbage and many flies. The place could benefit from a more intentional cleaning and some furniture replacement, there were stains and heavy wear on the furniture and beds indicating a lot of rough use over time. Overall an ok experience but not five-star.

The apartment is beautiful! The pictures don’t do it justice. It has a beautiful patio/rooftop. 2 spacious bedrooms with bathrooms. Super quiet hallway and apt with private parking available. The only problem was I didn’t feel safe going out at night for a walk or nearby areas (which is out of their control). But it’s good for others to be aware. We definitely had to drove to other places to pick up food, drinks, etc. the neighborhood doesn’t seem the best either, but the apartment itself makes up for that. Most of our outings were near University City, so it was alright. Our flight and car rental pickup were delayed which caused us to check in around 1am and I thought it’d be too late for them to respond, but to my surprise I received an answer and helpful tips immediately! Thank you!!

This was our second time staying at Simon’s place. My son is a student at Temple and the location is perfect for exploring all Philly has to offer.

This place goes to my favorites in Philly! simple like that.

Stayed here for a week in February. The unit is very nice and we were able to find street parking for free every night within a block or two. My only issue with the unit was the furniture. We were spending a lot of time in the unit and there was not comfortable seating. There was one love couch and 6 metal dining chairs. I would not recommend this place if you plan on lounging in the unit for extended periods of time. The photo was also misleading because it showed a cloth chair that wasn’t present in the unit.

Would stay again

Stayed here for the Eagles Super Bowl parade. Can’t say enough good things about it. The balcony was great, parking was easy, being picked up in an uber was easy and the apartment was clean and had everything we needed!

Love this spot! Stayed here twice now and just love the backdrop of the city views! Has a gym and private parking…. A must for our crew!

This unit is absolutely fantastic. It was spacious, clean and exceeded our expectations. The check-in and check-out was simple and easy. One of the best units I've stayed in using Airbnb.

Positive: Loved the open space and privacy. Very comfortable to have private bathrooms and a nice outdoor space. Negative: Beds were a little small. King sized bed in the master bedroom would have been nice.

Private apartment-like place in an apartment complex building. It was quiet, clean and spacious. There is parking available with a fee and that was very helpful. The app-based check in and check out procedures were very easy to follow, as were the directions. There’s good places for brunch and hoagies nearby (walking distance) and a lovely patio with a view of the skyline.

Clean, nice staff, definitely would not want to be any farther north. It was about a 25 minute walk into town. Positive: The property was clean and the front desk staff were very nice especially the one that helped us with checking in. Negative: It was pretty confusing where we could&#47;were supposed to park and how to access the building through the parking area. There were several different codes and we had to pay extra for parking but didn’t know that until after we were in the building.

We had a great stay at the loft. It was easy to access, and the front desk was helpful and friendly. It felt like a blend between staying in a hotel and an AirBnB. The view from the room was beautiful even on the third floor. It was spacious and clean. There was a however a yellow stain on our bed linens, and while the kitchen was fully stocked, the one thing they did not provide that we needed was a spatula. The parking area is right next to the loft and is easy to access (though it is $25/day). We also found it frustrating that we could not check in earlier than 4pm unless we wanted to pay $55 to check in still no earlier than 1:30pm. Also, at times we could hear the neighbors upstairs and next door, but the beds were comfortable and we slept well. Overall it was a nice stay. The loft was in a convenient spot, clean, and felt safe. The host was friendly and responsive. This loft made for a great stay in Philly!
