Great stay and location was perfect for what we needed- convenient to public transportation and to University City where we visited! Cool place in a historic building!!

It was comfortable Positive: Clean place and it was well kept loved the gym Negative: Well, sound - not for lite sleepers. The site gave you all the places that did not exist but if you want to cab it to better places it is okay.

The apartment looks much better in the photos than in reality. The high ceilings make it feel spacious, and the host communicated professionally and agreed to shorten our stay, which we appreciated. Unfortunately, the overall living experience was very disappointing. The open kitchen has no ventilation, so cooking leaves odors and grease throughout the apartment. There is no in-unit washer or dryer, only shared facilities. Parking is extremely difficult—we often spent around 30 minutes each day finding a street space. Two bedrooms have no windows. One bathroom had a serious drainage problem and was unusable for a day, while the other has very weak water pressure. The sofa felt dirty, the kettle had rust inside, the frying pan was stained, and the TV screen was partially broken. Overall, the apartment appeared poorly maintained. The host also requires a US$250 security deposit before check-in. Given the condition of the apartment, we documented every issue upon arrival.

Great location, fun place.

Awesome loft. not a great experience. The location that we picked and planned for was not what we got. A few hours before we were supposed to be there, they relocated our reservation to another building in a different part of town. A run down part of town. Upon arrival, The front desk didnt have anyof our information. I had to contact sosuite through the app and connect them with the front desk. We were charged for parking. That didnt seem to be disclosed in the air bnb listing. The place needs some work. scuffs all over the walls. Laminate flooring peeling up. A air intake for the hvac system covered in black dust. Looks like it hadn't been cleaned in months. Our original reservation was supposed to have a rooftop patio, large gym and a family lounge and recreation area. This one had a smaller gym that looked nothing like the pics. lots of drug addicts in the area. Pay attention to your surroundings.

Was a nice place to stay for a week while my daughter was in the hospital

Perfect rental. Great space - pet and kid-friendly. Amenities were as-described. Great location, with access to public transport, walkable to University City, and easy, free parking if you pay attention to signage. Seamless check-in/check-out, and helpful on-the-ground staff. Will stay here again.

Great location and price. It fit our family of 6 needs for a long weekend. Would absolutely stay again. Hosts were super accessible and very very responsive going above and beyond. I really appreciated supplied a highchair.

Amazing from start to finish!

The place was comfortable, the neighborhood was good. Felt safe. It's a fun and interesting stay. Enjoyed the rooftop. We loved that it was close to things but also kind of quiet and chill to relax after exploring all day.

Pretty good! It's nothin fancy but it's relatively comfortable and sleeps lots of people. Convenient location with the subway just a few blocks away, and the gym and rooftop are nice to have. Good enough if you're not planning to actually spend a lot of time in the apartment.

Very interesting building, used to be West Philly High School. Wander the halls and look at the art. Dog friendly.

Positive: West Philly location is close to everything with plenty of parking; easy delivery for many retailers including Walmart. Staff at the front desk are courteous, and helpful. The units are clean, cozy, comfortable and have basic amenities with a very attentive host. This was my second stay with So-suite and when I come back to Philadelphia its my first option. Negative: Liked everything

Everything was pretty good. We rented two rooms, one of which had a faint smell of cigarette smoke, which is never fun. Also if you don't pay close attention at check out, the rental company that posts this apartment listing (Sosuite) requires that you log in to a second portal to check-in, which I am never a fan of, but might not bother others.

I cannot say enough good things about this Airbnb. It’s in a beautiful old school building that was converted to loft apartments. It’s so charming, so well decorated in the heart of Philadelphia walking and parking was a breeze and they allowed us to bring our dog. People in the building were so kind. There’s a door man always at the front desk. We felt totally safe. The amenities were amazing. The gym is beautiful. The dog walk the dog park the lounge. There was a desk in every bedroom and I worked from the Airbnb. It was amazing. The space is absolutely beautiful and I cannot wait to come back. I would definitely book this place again, and they were extremely flexible with my family requesting a late check out our dog had a great time too.

the place was so cozy and absolutely beautiful. We loved the lobby area and spent quite a bit of time on their.was walking distance to many places. We really loved our stay. They only complaint is the coffee maker was broken and we love our morning coffee

Really enjoyed our stay at this cool renovated historic building! Simon made things super easy for us to check in/out and the unit was super clean and well appointed - the perfect place for us to stay while our group ran the Philly marathon!

I had such a great stay at So Suites in Philadelphia! Everything was exactly as described — clean, comfortable, and beautifully maintained.

This facility is so cool. Good location and amenities. The suite was adequately appointed, the living room was comfortable although some of the items a bit worn out (rug, a pillow seam, missing chess pieces, books with broken spines). Parking was on the street but we were able to find it. Steps up to the building are a bit steep and 2 of the 3 bedrooms have no windows so are very dark at night. Overall, we were really pleased with the stay and it met our needs.

This space was really unique as it's inside an old school building. The loft was clean and accessible. There is a 24 hour attendant at the front desk available to help. We did get grocery and food delivery while we were there which worked well. Street parking was full. The kitchen was fully stocked. Everything was clean and comfortable. We did not need to contact our host during the duration of our stay.

It was an awesome place

Good location, great deal, and Simon was so responsive. The apartment is very spacious and the beds were super comfortable. It’s definitely budget friendly so there aren’t a lot of frills but it’s chic, roomy, and super functional. Would stay again!

Had a wonderful stay while we visited the area. Staff at the facility were extremely kind and helpful with any questions we had. When we had a question about one of the appliances in the apartment our host was very fast at responding. Great experience and would stay again if we are ever in the area

I have never written a negative review on any site but have no choice. At 11pm we went to get into 1 of the 3 beds and it was completely wet- pillows, blankets- saturated. No idea if it was from a leak above (as exposed pipes had duck tape and tin foil on them) or from urine or perhaps housekeeping put extremely wet sheets on the bed/ but it was unusable and gross. We ended up getting an uber and paying for another hotel room across town for the night bc there was not even an additional sheet or blanket or pillow for us to use in the place. This was the night before our daughter graduation and we had to leave elderly family members at Airbnb which was not ideal. After a lot of back and forth- we were offered $150 for $2,000 plus stay. Not even close to covering our costs to go elsewhere for a night not to mention inconvenience. Just don’t think that was an adequate response . Also - building is really really loud.

Clean updated construction — very nice amenities, easy access to all west Philly

The house was beautiful. Didn’t have many complaints other than some lightbulbs needing to be changed out . Other than that we loved the space !

The bathroom in the hall next to the first bedroom was extremely noisy due to the shared wall with the paper towel rack and no closet or sufficient drawer space. The mattress needs to be replaced. It was very uncomfortable. With the bed pushed against the wall it's very difficult to get up to go to the bathroom . There are no windows so you don't even know when it's morning . There was a very loud party across the hall from the loft-no sleep! My request for clean sheets for a 5 day stay was denied. There were three adults and we needed more than four towels and needed clean sheets. The windows are very old in the den and the wind was coming right in making it very cold. There needs to be a bathroom in the second floor bedroom. Cookware is limited, old, and peeling. There was only one TV in the loft with none in the bedrooms. There is one couch. Parking is not easily accessible. There are many steps at the front entrance with no ramp. I will not revisit.

Simon was super helpful and responsive! Great stay overall. Nice and clean and in a walkable area with restaurants nearby.

Great spot to stay! The furnishings, appliances, and general amenities could use an update (they're a little more worn than shown in the photos.) One of the bedrooms was a loft room, without a door / full walls, which was unexpected but fine! Otherwise everything was exactly as we expected and the space worked well for our group.

The space is modern and minimalist in a cool building (a converted high school), walkable to lots of restaurants, with a gym and a community space. We did find the heating noisy especially in the loft bedroom.

Amazing place and building. The building is a converted highschool in West Philly that has been turned into GORGEOUS lofts. The rec center and the gym and awesome and my son utilized the gym every day we were there. We had a hard time finding a place to park, it’s street parking only and very busy roads, hopefully the parking lot will eventually be accessible. We never found the off street lots in the description. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in the area. Have to seriously thank the host for how responsive they were in responding to my questions and concerns. Made the stay a lot easier

Everything is as described.

Plenty of space. Great location for being near our daughter’s. 5 min walk to metra that takes you into the city. About a mile walk to UPenn campus. Great community space in the building with ping pong and pool table plus games. Wonderful rooftop area with lovely view of the city. TeTe one of the front workers was so helpful and welcoming on check in. Parking is tricky as mentioned on other reviews BUT with patience and circling the block you’re able to find a spot. Only recommendation would be to clean high touch areas better and also bathroom cleanliness of the floors and previous guest’s hair needs to be addressed. Overall great stay and would stay again.

Charming building with great amenities Positive: The bedrooms were spacious with closets and drawers so great for week long stays. Both bathrooms were stocked with toiletries and necessities. The kitchen was also stocked with the items you needed for a long term stay. Negative: The bathroom mirrors look dated, the kitchen does need a toaster and some coat hoots by the front door

Being that I was raised in west Philadelphia it was fun being able to go in the old west Philadelphia high school. I wou Positive: The loft was beautiful. Very spacious loved that I was able to cook saved me a lot of money. Multiple bathrooms Negative: I had to take a cold shower my 1st night I wasn’t aware that we all had to space out the shower time for everyone to get hot water. The tub could have been redone it looked bad.

Everything was what was described. However there where cracks in a mirror, cabinets and picture and small dark marks in the walls. When you are asking people for a 250.00 deposit in case of damages. I shouldn't arrive and see damages. I would stay here again the owner was nice when I reached out.

I stayed here with 4 other people, and we loved it. The loft was so nice and reminded me of a sitcom show. It looked exactly like the pictures. I also loved how the check-in app had local recommendations, making it easy to know what places are highly recommended and what places to see if you feel like being a tourist. I also love how guest service was so quick to respond to my questions via text, and helpful! The only downside was parking was difficult to find, but overall I would recommend staying here again. Amazing place!

Stay here while getting work done at home , the family loved it just wished we had more than one tv ....but that was fun because it made us spend some quality time together...overall great stay very pleased

I normally don’t write reviews but decided I had to for this AirBNB. First upon arrival had a little trouble with finding out how to enter the building because of a lot of construction on what use to be a high school. Once we circled the building we finally were able to access in the side street which is where the front of the building is located. There is a person at the desk that was very friendly and showed us to the loft. Once at the loft the code that they gave me to sign in was not the right code but after a quick phone call the lady was able to change the code on the door remotely and we were good to go. Upon entering the loft everything was as advertised. The place was clean and comfortable for our stay. The only issue with the loft itself was the slow drain in the bedroom bathroom. I called sosuite and the plumber came by within an hour and fixed the issue. With that said, I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

We loved our stay! It was super comfortable and pet friendly. Despite it being a historic building next to a college campus, it was very quiet and relaxing. All bedrooms and bathrooms were clean and comfortable. If you do plan to drive, just know that street parking isn't always readily available on the block, but we were able to find a spots 1-2 blocks away.

We were excited upon entering the common area, experiencing the “feel” of the place. A mixture of old & modern, industrial & functional yet relaxed. Unfortunately, our experience inside the actual unit was not quite this exciting. It started off with the loft not being ready at checkin. There was a peculiar smell, best way to describe it is sweat odor mixed with cleaning detergent & wet dog smells. A random man walked into my bedroom while I had undressed & was resting. Later we found out it was personnel coming in unannounced. There were stains on walls, pillow cases, couch. Without exaggeration, there was dust everywhere. The place is in dire need of a deep cleaning, paint job, investment in new linens & pillows. No bathing soap in dispensers; 2 rolls of toilet paper & paper towel for week stay in 3 bedrm unit; no kitchen towels in a full kitchen & 2 trash bags. Dirty caked on dishes in dishwasher & a broom full of hairs and dust balls. One bathroom sink was clogged & unusable. 👎🏼👎🏼

Simon’s place was cute! Looks just like the photos, clean towels and linens waiting for us, the kitchen and bathrooms were clean which is important! It was a bit dusty in the bedrooms and the wifi stopped working for hours but the latter issue was resolved as quickly as it could be on a Sunday. Parking is tricky; you’ll be lucky to find it immediately in front of the building—be prepared to walk a block or two from your car if you drive. But all in all we had a great time!

the loft is great and spacious, There was heavy rain and because the building is old there are a few locations where you can see the odd puddle of water. one of those places was right over the main bed, so the mattress and pillows got soaked. Simon went out of his way and offered alternative accommodation. If you are not used to the constant sound of air conditioning, then this was very noisy for us, some of our family were fine with the noise. Overall the place was clean and tidy and Simon was responsive

once the parking situation is improved this will be the perfect stay; also could use some USB outlets for phone charging. We forgot our plugs because we're used to having USB outlets in hotels.

Loved this apartment. Close to the SEPTA station. Was not hard to find street parking for our rental car. The fact that it used to be an old high school made it extra neat. Lots of amenities in the building. Would recommend.

We stayed a few weeks at Simon's place; it was a perfect home base for getting to know the area. Cool space in a nice building with great amenities--loved the shared lobby with desks and pool table, the gym, and the helpful and friendly folks at the door. The SoSuite team communicated quickly and helpfully, which was much appreciated.

The stay here is great. It’s just as described. It’s close to everything. Easy access to everything. Only downside is the parking, but we were able to find parking quickly.

Overall a good stay. Beautiful loft in a cool building. The surrounding neighborhood isn’t great but it’s an easy walk to the train and ~15 minutes ride to downtown. There were a few issues - flies in one of the bathrooms although the bathroom appeared and smelled clean, not sure where they came from but they were only in one room and there was another bathroom so we just used that one. Also could be better about amenities - the body wash provided was empty in both bathrooms and only 2 towels were provided initially for a 3 person party. However the host was responsive and brought an extra towel the same day. Overall not bad.

Good location in university city, great amenities and the rooms were clean and all a good size. Kitchen had everything you need and also the tall windows were a great addition. Easy check in and check out.

This house is on my top 3 list of homes I've stayed at. The pictures show what a great house it is, but it doesn't portray how comfortable the home is. All 3 beds, the linens, towels, and toiletries were top notch. The kitchen had everything you needed. Very close to UPenn and Drexel by car, about 7 minutes or less depending on traffic or road closures. Nothing better than walking into a cool and spacious home. The decorating is very well done. It is a beautiful comfy industrial style. The only con is parking, but that's all of Philadelphia. I decided on this home because the price was great, and most hotels had parking somewhere else or on the street. The owner texted to make sure everything was set prior to our check. We arrived after 10:00 pm, and were able to get into the building to our the 2 story townhome/apartment with no problems at all. The owner is available at all times, and told us how to get into the building, which has a 24 hour security/front desk person. Very close to everything. I will return to this home again.

Very clean & comfy stay .

The place is nice! Although away from the city center it was convenient for us and our family. Simon was very responsive to our questions and check-in was easy. We didn't realize 2 bedroom have no windows, so we recommended night lights be installed. Also be aware both bathrooms are on the ground floor so you will have to go up and down from the loft space. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen provided adequate pots/dishes etc. which we utilized. I would stay here again and recommend it to others. Good value overall.

Great apartment relatively close to everything. Great door men who are always willing to help and add an additional layer of security. Easy communication with Simon and very reactive to all queries. Will definitely return!

This place was very reasonably priced and very comfortable to stay at. The building was certainly nice and safe. The common room was awesome as well. The only downside may be it’s about 20 + min from center city. Overall though, it was a great stay.

The apartment is really beautiful. Very comfortable, spacious, clean. Ideal to share a few days with the family. It is located in a quiet area with restaurants nearby and close to UPenn campus. It was very inconvenient though not to have the option of check out after 11 am, nor to have a space in the building where you could store your luggage. The check-in time was also somewhat late (4:00pm) which was also inconvenient for us. Overall, good experience

Simon was hugely responsive all the way through the process, often responding within well less than an hour to our queries and addressing our concerns. Check in was a breeze. The apartment had a few items to address, but Simon's team got them sorted asap! Worked well for our family of 4 who were in town for our daughter's graduation from Penn.

Simon’s AirBnB is spacious and well-lit. There are a lot of amenities available both within the AirBnB, as well as in the greater apartment. While the location is slightly far from campus (if you’re visiting Penn), the value of the AirBnB is worth the trek.
