Overall it was a solid stay. I would recommend to anyone going there.
It was fun to be in Weat Philly, however it’s important to note that these units are not well maintained - ex rusted shower head, scuffed walls etc. Very no frills rental units. The building is also mixed use - so many permanent remnants mixed in with rental airbnb units. So there were parties etc in the building and the walls are very thin - we could hear conversations and noise from the units on either side of us. Also, the parking is not easy. They do not have designated spots so you have to move your car every two hours (per City signage).
The host made everything easy, and the stay was comfortable with a ton of space. It’s worth the money.
Very responsive and good location. Only one key fob available and an old building so space your showers apart. Pet friendly.

Parking can be tricky as you need to look for street parking. The bathroom sinks are tiny and don’t have much space for our stuff. Overall the place is nice, and the host is very friendly and responsive.
Cool building; it was an old school that was turned into an apartment complex! The unit was spacious but was a little dusty and we noticed stains on the floors and desks/tables in the unit. Other than that it was as described! There is also a mandatory $75-200 security deposit that you must pay for at check in!
Old High School, Turned Loft. Quiet location. Retro meets contemporary. Easily accessible. Parking is a little different, get in where you fit in (literally). Commons area Great for relaxing, some games/entertainment/socializing. Rooftop was a PLUS. The GYM brought back Great childhood memories!! Go enjoy what Philly has to offer AND definitely stay at SoSuite West Loft. Veni Vidi Vici!!!!

The price higher than expected
Fabulous place. The building is unique, being the old High school. They maintained may beautiful structural details and it was fun to explore the building and see them all. Walls were very thin and we could definitely hear neighbors at night- daytime was no issue.

So Suite West Lofts was such a cute apartment. Neighborhood was pretty quiet and safe! Host was also very responsive and gave clear instructions during check in and check out. When there was an issue they were able to reply and address it. Parking is a bit tough but that’s Philly! I would stay here again during my next trip to Philadelphia for sure.
Haved stay here before. This time we had some issues with heating (it was uncharacteristically cold in Philly) but were able to switch easily to a unit with heat. The response was timely and goal was to make our stay work. Felt like they listened to the concern and were great about fixing the situation. Makes me definitely want to re-book for a future stay.
The stay was good the portal was amazing every detail was included from the parking down to recommendations. Host was quick to respond.

The host and the apartment were good overall. There was a very noticeable smell inside the apartment, and it didn't feel very clean. Within 10 minutes of checking in, we noticed the FOB wasn't working, and it wasn't replaced for the rest of our stay. It seemed like there was no real effort to replace it. There were times when the front desk was empty, so we had to wait in the cold for someone to let us in the front door. We extended our stay for an additional say but still no one came to replace it. I would not stay here again, but the host was very communicative.

This place was a perfect location for several of us for visiting family in the area. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and stores within walking distance in cute neighborhoods. Our daughter was able to bring her dog, which was great. An added bonus was the gym in the building!

Great place very clean with a perfect location very close to most important places and transportation in Philadelphia. The suite was spotless, the kitchen and bathroom were extremely comfortable and the lobby has good activities like baby football and billiardo. I really recommend it for everyone

Host was very responsive and helpful. Good location, check-in/check-out was very easy.
My wife and her sister, went with our young adults. Very roomy and lots of room. It was clean and spacious and felt safe though the area nearby was a little suspect. You can see that the neighbourhood is going through a rebuilding. There biggest complaint was the smelt a lot if weed in the building (but not in the loft!). They loved the space, they loved the artsy decor and would stay there again!
Me and my friends enjoyed our weekend stay. It was all of our first times to Philly and it did not disappoint. Loved the historical recreation of the Airbnb and the sites were amazing. Will definitely stay again!
Sofa was different than in photos. Had stains and was damp upon arrival. If you’re staying in the loft bed- bring eye coverage as the curtains are not blackout and you’ll be waking up with the sun. Tv did not work. Great location though. Walkable to grocery, and tons of parking.

There are not any close restaurants and zero parking garages, most parking in the street is only 2 hours, one of the reviews had said valet was an option which is the only reason we picked this location, but no where to park. The AC leaks and is ruining the couch and chair, wet and dripping from the ceiling. One of the dining room chairs is broken. The he bathrooms need a deep clean and it is clear the cleaning crew is barely doing their job.

We’ve stayed at Simon’s many times over the last 4 years. It is very convenient and our kids love playing pool and foosball in the lobby. Simon was very responsive and helped return an item left behind!

The space is cute! Loved the exposed brick and the redevelopment of a high school into lofts was a great idea and works well. The host, Simon, was super responsive getting back to me usually within 5 or 10 mins. We had a couple of issues when we arrived which he addressed for us in a timely manner.
Great stay: We stayed in Simon‘s place for 2 1/2 weeks for a medical treatment for my husband. This particular unit is great because it has two bedrooms on the bottom floor. Kitchen and living room are all in one and a little smallish but comfortable enough to suit our needs. Both bathrooms on the bottom floor as well and a nice loft upstairs. Very walkable to some really good restaurants, hospitals, and in a safe neighborhood. I never felt unsafe. We didn’t have a car so I didn’t have to worry about parking. We use the laundry facilities in the building and they are great, inexpensive and easy to use and having a gym close by as well as a very cool communal area is also quite nice. All in allgreat stay. Upon arrival there was a guy at the front door smoking pot. While not ideal as I check in with my kids, it’s a city, I get it. Despite saying the building has 24/7 concierge, took awhile for us to find someone to let us in. Check in instructions say that once inside there will be a fob to get you in and out of the building. There was no fob. I reached out and was told one would be dropped off the next day. It never arrived. I reached out at the end of the day to inquire and was now told no fob was available. As we came and went from the unit the front was not always staffed leading to long wait times outside trying to get access to the building. Sometimes other tenants in the building would let us in. I expressed my frustration about not being about to get in and out of the building and was just told we have no fob. One bathroom smelled like pot smoke every night, the unit was dusty, marked up and stained walls, and crumbs on the floor. Will not stay here again.

Pro’s 1) We loved the building, it was an old school turned into lofts. 2) The host was very helpful and friendly. 3) The area was quiet compared to other areas of the city. Con’s 1) The space was not clean. I spent at least 45 minutes sweeping, wiping off dust etc. The whole place could use a deep clean and a little maintenance. 2) Parking is through a 3rd party app. There’s no place to unload your things at the building unless a spot is open. There are 14 stairs you have to carry your things up prior to entering the building. Parking for us was .05 miles away. 3) No thoughtful touches nor local recommendations.

Problems from the start The apartment appeared to be a good fit with space, proximity to UPenn for a track event and a unique space. I reserved through VRBO. Requested early checkin when reservation was made as well as day of checkin, response was they cannot guarantee early checkin- no attempt to accommodate. Finally at 4:20pm we checked in, parking was a problem. Room was still dirty and not ready. Floors were very dirty, beds made but pillows on floor, food and drinks scattered across apt, dirty dishes in opened dishwasher, fridge had snacks and drinks of cleaning people. I called Sosuite- they told me to take photos and send to a separate email. Lather, the cleaning people came to finish and said Sosuite should have told me the room wasn’t ready. They cleaned the room for next 40 minutes with us in there, sprayed heavy air fragrance and gave us pillowcases to put on our pillows. No response from Sosuite. Next day, parents of track teammates and team met in common area of West Loft to go to UPenn together. Received a text I was charged $100 for a “having a party with unregistered guests”. They were- quick to charge us the money and never addressed checkin mess. When I asked about $100 charge and what about the checkin mess? They sent emails stating they were bringing up to management and would get back because they understand frustration. Never got back, every time I followed up, same response. Dealing with the company was such a disappointment- they don’t listen or care
the parking can be an issue, its a condo building, where many have pets, who urinate on the entrance sidewalk, the loft was not clean at all. Stains on furniture, chairs, and mattress cover🤢.. whomever is hired to properly clean and maintain this unit needs should do better.

Just awful. Stove was so gross and dirty! The pots were so burned from previous use. The tv was the size for a toddler. It was a 3 bedroom with one tiny tv. It was a broken bathroom towel holder. Dirty walls, broken door handles, I had to wait 24 hours for the FOB key. And dirty condom wrappers in drawers. No counter space in the kitchen, tiny fridge and kitchen for the size of the apt. I guess this is why a $250 deposit was made so he can blame the current guest. Check out place throughly, take before and after pictures, because they will keep your $250 deposit. As he’s trying to keep mine, because I stayed one night in another unit. One I need peace from my partner, two he gave me the code to get the FOB key out of it and it was way more clean. The front door was so far away and if your on the third floor. It’s one elevator that is in the other side of the building. So you spend hours lost! I will not ever stay there again! To much money for what it actually was.
Place was well worth it. Good amount of space. Very close to subway which was very helpful. Parking was easy. Everything was clean and worked. Would stay here again.
The West Lofts is a great location in West Philly! We enjoyed the common area (pool table, ping pong, foosball table & TV). The gym and laundry room were also nice features ($2 each to wash/dry). The apartment was clean and simple, but I hadn’t noticed on bedroom was a loft until after booking. They did have plenty of bath and hand towels, but only one kitchen towel and kitchen washcloth. Probably fine for most people, but I usually cook when I travel. The kitchen has a Keurig, French press, electric kettle and various pots/pans/strainer along with dishes, mugs, wine glasses and silverware. However, the only cooking utensils were a whisk and pasta server. After contacting Sosuite, they brought a sheet pan and spatula in just under 24 hours. Also, the blue couch pictured was not there, but instead a couch that could fit three small adults and an armchair. Generally wear & tear is staring to show (shower drains, toilet paper holder, bathroom light switch plates), but still a great spot.
Location was great. Close to downtown and city center. Parking is a little difficult to find but you can if have smaller vehicle. Building and amenities are fabulous. Gym is amazing. We had a great time.

My family and I have stayed at these apartments before, and are all fans. They are upscale and in a great location for us, near to our family in West Philly. Additionally, the communication is fabulous. This stay was less than excellent, however, as we had some difficulties with the building staff. Additionally, this apartment had some wear and tear and was less clean than we expected.
Simon was great and was very responsive. Location was ideal for what we were in Philly for. The place was clean was exactly what was described. Our host went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of.
This was a great stay and a great location if you love west Philly! Very cool apartment and building. Unfortunately a leak in the ceiling was directly above my suitcase and soaked all my clothes the first night. Management was responsive and took care of things quickly. Sosuite arranged for me to use a laundry card, however, no one wants to spend hours of their stay doing laundry. Overall, we loved our stay.
