Everything was perfect 10/10

Place looked like the pictures. A bit out of the way and neighborhood a bit sketchy. We Chevy in at around 5 pm. When we came to the room the door was ajar, we came in and it looked like someone was in the middle of cleansing but didn’t finish, it also smelled like cigarettes even tho it it a smoke free building. We didn’t think much of it and didn’t report it to the front desk. 10 min passed and a young man knocked on the door to “make sure someone had checked in”. The day after we checked out I received a message saying they were going to keep my $250 deposit because we had tampered with the smoke alarm. And sent us a picture of the smoke alarm without the battery. We didn’t even know where the alarms were! After many back an forth messages they gave me back my deposit. Make sure to videotape your surroundings when you check in to have record just in case, they don’t want to you refund the deposit.

It’s a great location in that it’s just outside of the heart of center city with access to everything you want. I was able to take a five minute uber ride to events in center city and get around the rest of the city easily! I loved the airbnb it’s decorated well and looks exactly like the pictures! I will definitely stay again

We had a great time in Philadelphia, and found it to be a very walkable city. Sosuite was a convenient place to stay and accommodated four adults nicely.

First - I’m thinking that many of the reviews here are from people that happened to get placed in a different room/floor than us? Our apartment was incredibly noisy unfortunately; particularly when we were trying to sleep. The apartment could’ve used a bit more cleaning prior to our arrival; floors had lots of dirt and dust. Staff was not very friendly or kind either. Asking a question seemed threatening? Hard to gauge demeanor with sunglasses on and hoods up behind the help desk. Beds are a 5/10 comfort-wise. Think dormitory vibes… though we did enjoy how spacious it was. Would recommend adding a kitchen towel to dry dishes with as well as a few blankets or bulkier comforters. Would say this place offers what is necessary, but no more than that. The on-site parking (for a fee) is a plus. Just over a mile walk to true “City Center.” Right on the outskirts of safe, historic Philly and ehh Philly. Certainly would not walk around at night alone, and was hesitant to do so during the day

Great place to stay! The staff was consistently friendly, helpful, and highly responsive whenever assistance was needed. The common areas were well maintained and always clean, which made the property feel comfortable and welcoming. Having a restaurant in the building was also a major convenience. It offered a full bar and an extensive food menu, making it easy to enjoy a meal or drink without having to leave the property. Overall, the excellent service, cleanliness, and on-site amenities made for a very enjoyable experience.

The stay was enjoyable. The loft had so much character.

Very comfortable, safe and quiet.

Things needed to be touched up as far as the room paint, nail holes in walls, door trim coming off, purchase stickers in doors, placement of washer and dryer doesn’t allow bathroom door to open fully, grout in bathroom is falling behind the wall.

Great stay! Would go back if we visit again.

Our flight didn’t land till almost midnight, so the flexible check-in was great. Would book again if we came back to town. Everyone was very friendly and Simon was very helpful.

Very responsive and helpful hosts. The apartment was tidy and had everything you need! However, the beds were quite hard and not the most comfortable. We could hear noise and conversations from neighbours very clearly during the day and late at night which was frustrating. The parking area was gated but the gate was never closed, it would be nice to feel extra secure especially if it at least closed at night. It was also hard at times to find someone at reception if anything was needed. Not the nicest neighbourhood in Philadelphia but it was easily walkable to the centre city.

We had a wonderful stay! It appeared to be an apartment building with some longer term tenants mixed with short term rentals. Absolutely loved the space (the windows!), it was so easy to walk where we wanted to go, comfortable beds, and we’re thrilled we were able to travel with our dog and have easy parking. Already plan on staying again!

We loved the apartment. It had everything you would need for your stay. very comfortable. The neighbourhood was walkable for two young women. The neighbours were noisy, but that can't be helped. I definitely recommend this place.

En lisant d'autres commentaires, certains trouvent le quartier pas très engageant. De notre côté, aucun problème. Nous le recommandons pour votre visite.

Esperienza terribile, siamo scappati senza nemmeno farci una notte. Appena arrivati all’appartamento, ho lasciato che mio figlio di 8 mesi gattonasse libero e, con mia grande sorpresa, mi sono accorta che avesse manine e gambe completamente nere. Ho quindi controllato il resto dell’appartamento: nel mio letto c’era un lenzuolo con una ampia macchia di urina e macchie nere, nell’altro briciole e capelli. Chiaramente non erano stati cambiati i letti e ci aveva dormito prima qualcun altro. Ho testimonianze fotografiche di tutto. Sconsiglio caldamente questo alloggio, la sporcizia che c’era per terra deriva da mesi in cui il pavimento non viene lavato e le lenzuola sporche sono inaccettabili. Ci hanno proposto un altro appartamento nello stesso stabile, ma, dopo averlo ispezionato e constatato che fosse sporco come il nostro, ce ne siamo andati altrove. SCONSIGLIATISSIMO.

Great walkable location, very friendly and responsive host

We had such a great time in Philadelphia. What an amazing city. Our stay set the tone for the well deserved days off. It was clean, comfortable beds, had couple streaming services if you wanted to take a break from the outside world. If I had any questions, they were met with a friendly and timely response. Will definitely be staying here the next time I’m in town.

​We had a great 1-night stay at SoSuite! The location is fantastic, super convenient to local restaurants and close to UPenn. The suite itself was very clean, comfortable, and well-equipped. On top of that, the hosts were wonderfully proactive with their communication, making check-in and check-out seamless. Would definitely recommend staying here!

This place was welcoming and comfortable. Located within walking distance to a lot of things we wanted to explore. Simon and his team were fantastic. Quick responses to our questions and any assistance we needed. Highly recommend.

Our stay was perfect. The place was exactly as described and was very neat and clean. There was plenty of space for 4 people. We were very comfortable and the place was located close to the Reading Terminal and chinatown. We will definitely come back to Philly and stay here!

My stay turned out to be much better than the first impression. Days prior I received clear communication about my stay and extra amenities through a portal, I really liked this! Check in was smooth and as described. Our only complaint was that after being assigned to our room we were caught by surprise to find that housekeeping was still cleaning our unit. We had been driving six hours with two kids and a dog. We were really looking to just put our belongings down and adventure in the city. The cleaner and host were very polite and we were understanding of the miscommunication. To make up for the confusion the housekeeper understandably expedited the cleaning, perhaps resulting in a less tidy floor. Despite our check-in dilemma, we were very pleased with the facility, the location, in the layout of the apartment. Paid parking was very convenient and worth every penny . We were happy with clean sheets, very comfortable bed and kitchen supplies. Would certainly stay again.

Nice, clean place and just as pictured/described. It was extremely hot during our visit so I really appreciated the AC. I will say that the kitchen was pretty bare bones and could use some more cooking supplies to actually make a few meals. Other than that, great stay!

I would not recommend staying here. This place feels more like an old, poorly maintained hotel than a genuine Airbnb. The check-in process was unnecessarily complicated and required a large security deposit, which was not made clear upfront. The building itself felt outdated and unclean. The lobby was especially unpleasant, with a strong odor and people lingering there who made the environment feel uncomfortable. It had more of the atmosphere of a shelter than a place intended for travelers. Overall, the property did not match the expectations set by the listing, and I would not stay here again.

Listing was exactly as described. I really enjoyed the unit itself but the lobby could use a little more love which I’m sure isn’t the responsibility of the host. It had an odd odor but really good front desk attendant and also enjoyed the vending machine downstairs. Wasn’t a fan of the security deposit but understand in today’s world. We also tried the restaurant in the building which was also pretty good! Good for my short stay

This accommodation was excellent!

Our stay was great. The view of the city was amazing. The only thing I recommend is having wash clothes for showering. I had to purchase my own which was a slight hassle. Other than that, I would def boom again

Great central location, tall ceilings! Only concern was the master bedroom can get a bit loud from outside noise at night. Other than that, great place and will stay again.

Stayed for a night in the city with a friend and we loved Simon’s place! As two ladies we felt safe knowing we were in a secure building with front desk staff. Parking is offered for an extra fee in a gated lot/garage which was also a relief. The location was decent. There were restaurants within walking distance and one on site as well! If we decide to come back we will definitely try to book here again!

The apt had lots of light, high ceilings and felt very spacious. The hosting team (customer support) was so responsive, and answered all my texts quickly. They were extremely helpful and accommodating. Everything was great and my family enjoyed our stay very much. Reccomend 100%

Nice apartment near Chinatown. Lots do nearby.

Although I was contacted about the noise ordinance the night before about me being loud which I was alone and asleep the next night it was a full out 3 hour fight and a party in the hallway that kept me up and I had to be to my jobsite at 3am. I contacted the host a hour in to when I first heard the commotion it never got dealt with.

Spacious, clean. Comfy beds. Plenty of room for two adults/two teens (appreciated the two full baths!) Great city views from our 4th floor windows. Nice touch with coffee set-up (to-go cups, creamer, pods). Our stay was quick - just two nights - but we would have been comfortable for a much longer stay. Minimal noise from other units. It’s an apartment building, so residents are going to be living their at-home lives, which may include smoking weed… the smell was strong in the hallways, but we didn’t notice it in our unit. Restaurant at ground level was convenient (ate their once, would give 3-ish out of 5 stars). We took advantage of the paid parking option—totally worth it to avoid searching for street parking in a packed neighborhood. Overall: would definitely stay here again.

Always a peaceful stay - super clean and comfortable! Will book again!

Unfortunately for us, our experience started with multiple issues. Upon arrival, we were told that they had overbooked and we did not have a room. As stated in the listing, the person working the desk does not work for Sosuite. This can be challenging when trying to resolve an issue like this. After waiting an hour, the resolution available was to move to another building across town. This was an unacceptable solution for us. They were then able to offer us a 3 bedroom unit in the building for that night, before relocating to the 2 bedroom the following day. After being notified that our 2 bedroom unit was ready the following morning, we moved our belongings into the new unit. It was immediately obvious that the unit had not been cleaned. There were dirty towels and linens, trashes not emptied, and clutter around the kitchen. It’s unfortunate, because had all of these things gone well our experience would have been much better. The space is very nice with plenty of room and light.

Decent enough place to stay, definitely not as nice as the photos portray. No insulation in the walls between apartments, and neighbors were blasting music until 3am. Other than that it was fine for a place to crash.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at So Suites at the Independence Lofts in Philadelphia. Our apartment had tons of natural light with huge windows. It was clean and comfortable. The bed was comfortable, too! Most importantly, this apartment is in a safe building, with a code needed to get into the building and the apartment. Only 15 min. walk from The Met. The only downside is the block or two around the building smelled like pot and we felt the need to be aware of our surroundings. But that would be true in any big city. So Suites has an option to add on parking and this is a great add-on due to their gated lot (and underground garage parking to keep your vehicle out of the elements). Highly recommend So Suites!

My sister and I enjoyed our stay with SoSuite! The building was nice, and the apartment had a great atmosphere. The location was perfect for our trip and there are lots of places within walking distance. It took us a little while to get accustomed to the on-site parking, lock system and various keypads but once we did, it was very easy to use. We would definitely come back again!

First and foremost, the staff was extremely attentive, friendly, and helpful. The platform used to communicate with management is very organized. Tenants/guests were not noisy. The building was secured with a pinpad at the front door as well as on our unit. The apartment was spacious, modern, and secure. We paid for parking and were able to park our mid-size SUV in the garage every day. The location was a short walk to Chinatown, with multiple food options nearby, just on either corner of the block, as well as a restaurant in the building. Basic toiletries, washer/dryer, towels were provided. We would have given this 5 stars if not for a few things which we were able to overlook in the long run.

Overall stay was fine, however it wasn't as convenient getting into and out of parking lot gate. We had to get out of the car both times to get in and out. Also, there were no wash cloths, just bath towels and hand towels.

Great place and host

Everything was exactly as described in the listing. The area is quiet and has plenty of walkable restaurants and breweries. Very comfortable and a great place to relax after a day of exploring the city.

Loved the apartment unit. Very clean, looked just like the pictures. They provided soap, shampoo, conditioner, towels sets for 4, and had a washer/dryer in the unit. The natural light due to the windows was such a selling point. I usually stay right on busy main streets, but they all had stairs and my mom can’t handle them so we booked this place based on the elevator situation. Not a lot directly downstairs but walk a few blocks and there’s lots of bars and restaurants. Very quick uber to busier areas as well. Was not an issue at all! The only little downside is how thin the walls are. We could hear kids yelling and screaming all day while we were trying to have a calm afternoon in. Would definitely stay here again!

This is a great place to stay very close to a lot the history Philadelphia has to offer! The onsite parking was a big plus. This place was exactly what we were looking for in a place to stay for our visit to Philadelphia. We would stay here again.

This is a huge space in a recently renovated building and it has a nice vibe and the people staying or living there are friendly. The apartment itself is comfortable -- two bathrooms and washer/dryer to boot -- and the view is sweet. There's a concierge for the building, which is nice. It's easily walkable to some really good places to get food, to Chinatown and Reading Terminal. There's secure parking if you want to pay for it, but it's also possible to park nearby on the street if you have the energy to look and then walk a bit.

Excellent building and apartment near Center City. The building has a restaurant attached, making eating on the run very easy. There is also a Latin store on the corner that makes great homemade Latin food. Loved everything about the building and about the apartment. A great deal for what one pays.
