Great location, and great apartment. Would def stay again.

Bottom line, this place worked for our stay, but I wouldn't pick this property again. This Sosuite option is a basement rental. There are no windows. It is a full flight of stairs to get to the entrance of this apartment. This apartment was decent for the price, certainly an average price for the quality in Old City. Sosuite does a nice job providing exactly the basics you will need, but it doesn't feel like they have ever spent time in their facilities. For instance, we had one hand towel in the bathroom for a 5-night stay. No towels or cloths in the kitchen. (Good news, Sosuite was responsive and they provided additional towels.) No floor mat at the base of the basement stairs, or once you entered the apartment: this meant there was dirty, sandy, Philly grit all over the floor every day. The kitchen sink is very hot and unwieldy. No toaster. Laundry worked. If you're just here to sleep and shower, it's ace.

Esperienza complessivamente negativa Positive: Posizione eccellente Negative: L’appartamento era di fatto un seminterrato senza finestre. Ho chiesto delle coperte tramite Booking e, nonostante mi fosse stato assicurato che sarebbero state portate, non sono mai arrivate. Durante il check-in su una piattaforma esterna viene proposta una Damage Waiver non rimborsabile di $125 come alternativa al deposito rimborsabile di $250 indicato su Booking. Ho selezionato per errore questa opzione (è vero che è possibile toglierla , ma è una scelta pre-suggerita a cui durnate il check-in e l'upload di svariati dati sulla piattaforma non ho prestato attenzione) e, nonostante abbia immediatamente spiegato la situazione, si sono rifiutati di rimborsarla. A mio avviso, il modo in cui questa scelta viene presentata facilita inutilmente errori costosi!

apt was clean and had all basics like salt , pepper, coffee pods , steel cookware etc.(which some places dont have, and i appreciate it) and they were communicating well , but their listing pics had windows and caused confusion , for a basement unit. unit was not ready by the time we checked in, we travlled from far and were tired. They moved us to a diff unit on asking but it was smaller(learnt after we went to new unit). it was very small for our group size and we had to adjust with sheets, sleep on couch etc. they offered to move us back to basement unit but we were tired and all ready settled in.

Very nice apartment. It was in the basement which we knew but that wasn't a problem - easy to sleep! Very well done, clean and in a good location.

I have stayed in three different apartments in the same building. I love this place. I always try and book a place to stay here when I am visiting Philadelphia. Always clean and ready when I arrive. I like the clean and modern aesthetic. Comfortable beds and relatively quiet location but lots of restaurants in a walkable distance. Highly recommend staying here!

This would have been all we hoped for if the ceiling was not painted over and raining on us in the bed. I should’ve demanded a larger refund. Also, I was unhappy with how the carpet shed and had new dustballs everyday. It had been swept but not mopped. Very disappointing. They refused to refund so Airbnb refunded.

Hosts were responsive and proactive in trying to resolve a bit of an unexpected occurrence. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and felt right at home. We didn’t realise it was a basement unit until after booking but my claustrophobic friend was okay once we got there. Would definitely recommend.

Loved the location. Lots of walkable restaurants, cool neighborhood, short walk to Ben Franklin Bridge. As the description notes, the stairs down are are no joke so be prepared. Other than that though, it was great for a basement apartment. Would book again.

Overall. It wasn’t bad. I would stay again. I would just bring certain items to make it easier for my stay. Positive: I would stay again. Check in was easy. The location was great. Parking was tight in the street by meter $5. For 2 hour max. I just moved my car accordingly. Lots of cute shops along the way, and walking distance to almost everything - coffee, restaurants, pharmacy store, bars, museums, consignment stores. Negative: You can’t check in until 4pm (unless you pay $60.). Yet you have to leave by 11am. Check in was easy. I only had 1 washing machine laundry pod, and the lid was off as if it were never refilled. The coffee cups had coffee stains in side them. I pulled a knife out, and it was dirty. The pan also had a big burnt permanent stain on it. The shower was spewing water from the back of shower head. It was extremely noisy above us from walking or running, I couldn’t tell what it was.

This Airbnb was very cute and well appointed- just like the photos and description. It’s in a great location and felt quiet and private. There were things in the kitchen that one would expect and the space worked well for four people. The hosts were very responsive, although they forgot to leave bath towels and it did take them until midday the following day to get them to us, but they had clear communication to set our expectations so we could plan accordingly. All in all I would recommend this spot for a stay in Philly and especially anyone wanting to explore old city!

I booked this unit as a last minute get a way from my family Christmas night. Soon as I arrived I parked in the spot closest to the door just to unload my luggage and a neighbor, clearly racist, immediately harassed me about property parking. Even called the police, reported my tag, I mean I’m there 15 minutes and this is happening. The host wasn’t really an issue but not much help about the harassment. Totally ruined my Christmas.

We really enjoyed our stay here! The apartment is fantastic! Great location as well. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay longer!

Fantastic location in Old City. Super walkable, great cafes, restaurants, convenience stores all within walking distance. Easy to walk to the waterfront and Independence Hall area. Always felt safe - day or night. Be aware of steep steps to get down to the front door, if those are an issue for you. Parking is not included, but there are lots of metered spots on street and lots nearby — something you can’t avoid in Philly if you’re driving. Host gives very clear instructions and recommendations through an online portal. Even has an automatic sign out feature in the Roku so you don’t have to worry about forgetting to sign out of streaming services. Tons of space and comfortable beds - highly recommend!

Great stay at Jean’s. Good location, clean, comfortable beds. Note that this is a basement unit and there are steep stairs right when you walk in. Wasn’t aware of the stairs so this may be issue for those who need fully accessible entrance. Otherwise all was great!

I have to say that the pictures posted match with their unit. BUT, please note that it’s an underground unit without any window if you cannot figure out from the picture. Also, it’s a relatively new unit, nicely modeled though, but one can feel the strong smell once step in (from painting or furniture maybe). Finally, communication is not smooth. I can only text them and have to wait 5-30min for each reply. They never respond the phone call but just keep saying leave a message or text us.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was perfect for touring the Old City and the apartment was nice and comfortable. The host was very responsive, even after hours and when we needed something on the holiday. The location is tricky to find but the check-in instructions include pictures that were extremely helpful. We would definitely recommend staying here!

Loved staying here. Lots of stores and food within walking distance. Wish parking was included but there were quiet a few lots in the area.
