Somewhere quick to stay had to switch rooms 3 times need new house keepers

Nice and centrally located place.

This was my second time staying at this property and it's officially my favorite place in to stay in Philly! It's a great location with very clean and spacious rooms.

The place was great. Very nice location, nice building, nice loft. No complaints. Only thing is that they have a lot of corporate style processes. Checking in, logging in, and portal. They also make you fill out a form and go thru it. It's not personable. It might be a little extra for some, while others may like it. Also, there is a $250 security deposit. If you don't read the fine print, you might miss it like I did. But I got my security back so its not a big complaint. The place itself was great.

Nice place!

The natural light in place is great. The area could be better but there are a few restaurants for picking up food if hungry. But given the price we paid for the area, the place wasn’t up to the mark - 1/ there was an insect in our bed and stains on the couch, 2/ the kitchen tap was very hard to open/close, 3/ the WiFi connection very weak, 4/ one of the bathrooms didn’t have hot water, 5/ The air conditioning wasn’t very effective in the bedrooms probably due to the vent design since it was one unit for entire apartment. The living room will get freezing cold while the bedrooms will be hot, 6/ We were asked to pay a $250 refundable or $25/night non refundable deposit to get check in access which wasn’t disclosed openly while booking

Lovely place, front desk folks were very kind, sosuite was verey quick to respond via messages as well. Been there twice, would go again!

It’s possible that local events (World Cup) reflected pricing so hard to say it was a great value (especially since that was not why we were there) but the place was as advertised, clean and easy to come and go from & it was very spacious!! That was a nice surprise!

It was an excellent place to stay for our purposes. Very spacious, creative, clean, uncluttered, and very functional. It is an old building and my only issue was getting hot water to the shower. Other than that it was really great.

The place was Beautiful. Staff was friendly and helpful. I appreciate the staff inspecting behind housekeeping to ensure a clean space. I would definitely stay again and adding this to my favorites!!!

Place was great in general, although there were some stains on the blankets and the balcony is not particularly pleasant. It also smelled like cigarette smoke when we checked in. There were parties happening both nights that other guests were throwing on other apartments, but both times they spilled out into the hallway and people were literally climbing over the other balcony onto our balcony at like 12am. It seemed like a common occurrence so I would keep in mind if planning to book this Airbnb.

We had two couples so this place was perfect for a weekend in Philly! Easy parking as well - much appreciated that. Thank you for having us!

Had a great overnight stay with my mother and little sister. We drove from upstate NY for the flower convention and the location couldn't have been more perfect. The host and the front desk staff were super friendly and the suite was just what we needed. clean, conveniently located and very comfortable. Will definitely recommend and stay again onnthe next trip. thank you

The stay was exactly what we needed. The place was clean and the in unit washer/dryer was a plus. In warmer months it'll be cool to enjoy the balcony.

Place was exactly what we needed - simple but has the amenities. Rooms were big, beds were comfortable, and temperature control worked well. Parking garage is a bit tough to navigate with a bigger vehicle. Great location for shows!

Our stay was pleasant and we had everything we needed all weekend. Front desk staff were helpful. Was a great location during our stay for the Philly marathon! Would recommend.

Mostly what was expected. It’s a bare bones minimalist apartment. Everything worked despite some things looking a little rough. The staff was super responsive and helpful. The bed was very firm but was still a comfortable sleep. If you’re looking for a luxury apartment with all the quality of home, this isn’t it but it is a nice, clean affordable space that overall meets the expectations that it’s description promises

We have stayed at the Independence Lofts twice now in two separate apartments. Both good value and a convenient stay. Parking lot on site for an additional fee is a great amenity.

Great stay very comfortable and nice loft.

The host communicated very well and was very helpful when I made a mistake with my booking. The apartment was very large and I could happen to stayed longer. My only criticisms are that there was a fair amount of debris on the floor which was missed by cleaners and the door to the balcony was only held closed by a metal bolt attached to some wire. I feel for security reasons this needs fixing ASAP. Other than that it was immaculate

Love the location which was quiet and peaceful. Place was spotless and the bedding was super soft. The bed was very comfortable. The appliances worked well and the kitchen was super clean. We also loved the security of having a front desk person we could see and talk with. The on-site parking is fantastic! No traveling around the block to find a parking space on the street just reduced our stress level so much! We will be staying here again in the near future because we like it so much!

Great place for a stay in Philly. Comfortable and clean. Not sure why the heat was set at 80 when we arrived so we had to turn that off and let the place cool down. Other than that great location and easy to find.

Perfect size and location for our one night stay.

Great spot! Not to far from most things to see. Parking was great and onsite. Don’t forget to use elevator in parking area (we didn’t know there was one till the last day). Modern lovely apartment with a beautiful balcony. I would stay here again!

Positive: See below Negative: We didn't stay at the ledger, they moved us 5 hrs before check in, tried to give me a space with a pull out fish at the foot of the bed for 3 adults, no privacy at all. Got a 2 bed 2 bath, 1 bed was hard as a rock, there were beer bottle caps on the balcony, the wine opener was broken, nobody mentioned a parking pass and it's not in the parking email.

was exactly as described, checkin was very easy and checkout even easier. private parking was worth the couple of extra bucks. building was clean and in a great location that is a very short Uber to anywhere in the city worth seeing without the higher price tag. will definitely stay here again.

Mostly Perfect for a Concert Date night Positive: Great location for music venues nearby. Great restaurant a block away. Lots of light w big windows.comfortable bed, decent shower pressure. Negative: When the toilet flushed, there'd be a stinky smell out on the balcony a while.

Overall the Airbnb was just as described and I had a wonderful experience. Simon was so helpful and very responsive to messages/concerns.

The place was great, and our host was a great communicator, addressing any questions. The app integration made the experience seamless. The loft was spacious, clean, and quiet…with a balcony! We greatly appreciated the amenities, which included 24/7 on-premise parking, a restaurant, and in-room elements. The neighborhood was within minutes of anything we needed. From great food options to a kick-ass music store just around the corner, a Giant supermarket, and a Target, we had everything we needed. The location was also a short ride-share trip from everything, which made avoiding parking spots musical chairs a treat. You can also rent a city bike down on the main avenue, which has hubs in most significant parts of the city. We were there for an event at Lincoln Field, so having the train stop just three blocks away was also a bonus. The express got us from our stop to the stadium lot in about 30 minutes! Overall, I look forward to returning here on our next visit.

Great place, very spacious and clean.

Loved our stay. The location looks exactly like the pictures. It's a huge space that we were really able to stretch out in. Stunning views of Downtown from the back patio definitely stuck out. Kitchen was spacious. It was very easy and enjoyable to cook breakfast in there. Having bathrooms on both sides of the space is very helpful. All in all, the space fully accommodated everything we needed it for with the week we spent there. Very comfortable, more than enough room to stretch out, very close to any nightlife and attractions. Couldn't have asked for more.

Easy check in. Got many texts about adding services for a fee (more days, early late check in, insurance in case we damage the furniture !?!?). Once we checked in communication was awful. Couch smelled like urine; prob from a pet. Multiple texts over 3 days and no resolution, except “we have escalated to management” and “we will text you when we come to clean”. That never happened. So we didn’t sit on the couch for 10 days. WiFi was spotty. Resolution was to keep switching between different networks that would randomly cut out. Great when you are on a video call, so we had to use our cellphones to hotspot. On the plus the apartment was nice. Furniture and utensils were cheap, but beds, linens, bathrooms were clean. I would not book with SoSuite again

Recommend others to use this location

The over all property was nice. But house cleaning needs to mop floors a little better they were quite dirty. Beside that nice rental. Needs use of tv also

Simon was a great host! He made sure we had everything we needed to have a great stay. This was Super Bowl weekend and with philly winning the super bowl all of philly was excited especially me and my friends. Simon was very understanding when the noise elevated. He was especially kind in letting us know so we could tone it down. We had a great weekend and really enjoyed our stay. His place was just as we pictured. They even offered parking at a cost Every need was met. Thanks for a great weekend.

This place was just perfect for my weekend in Philadelphia! Check in and parking were both very easy. The loft was exactly as described. It was very bright and spacious and everything was super clean. The balcony/deck was larger than expected and was perfect for morning coffee and pre dinner cocktails. The restaurant downstairs was convenient. It was open late and the food and cocktails were very good. The loft is centrally located and we walked everywhere with no issues. Communication with the host was easy and my questions were answered promptly. I would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful and updated!

This is a great place to stay in Philly. It is in a great location that makes it easy to get to other parts of the city. There’s plenty to do within a 20 minute walk of the building which is great. Our actual unit was a less clean than we’d like but they were very accommodating scheduling a 2nd cleaning and provided new sheets and pillowcases which was nice. The lobby had an off putting smell at certain points in the day but I understand that is out of their control to a degree. Overall, I would happily stay here again

We had a total of 4 adults and 1 toddler in our group touring Philly for 2 days. I chose one of Simon's Lofts because personally, I've always wanted to stay in a loft and didn't want to pass up this fair-priced opportunity! The location was okay in that it wasn't too far away from Chinatown or the Historic District, although I would be careful walking around at night time, especially if you're alone. My husband and I are walkers, and it took us roughly 15-20 minutes to walk to the Reading Terminal Market for breakfast the next day, so it wasn't too bad at all, especially for the price. My in-laws on the other hand are older and didn't really appreciate the walks, but you can't make everyone happy. Speaking of the Reading Terminal Market - I highly recommend this place for breakfast and lunch! So many food options to choose from, so no one is going to be unhappy! The place itself is decent for the price. The lady at the check-in desk was super nice and was quick to get me signed up for a parking pass. I will say the overall procedure for entering the parking lot, the building, and your room is a bit confusing because you have two different codes and there are three different keypads on the parking lot gate and the front of the building. It's of course spelled out for you in the check-in notes, so make sure you screenshot the codes and the instructions so you always have it handy. I'm not really complaining about this, but maybe this could be made a little easier somehow. The loft itself was a lot smaller than the pictures made it out to be, but it was still plenty big for a group of 4.5 people. I enjoyed the large windows that let in all the natural lighting and the open floor plan, which let my daughter run around in view of everyone. I also enjoyed the patio, although again it is smaller than what the pictures make it seem to be. I'm not complaining though, because I still enjoyed it, as did my daughter. The bedrooms were a nice size and had large windows in them as well. Our loft was on the second floor, so there wasn't much of a view, but still pretty soundproof considering how close we were to the ground. The shared bathroom was nice and large. The ensuite bathroom in the master bedroom was incredibly small, really only big enough for one person to be in at a time, and the shower was completely absurd. Not only was the shower floor dirty with hair (both head and pubic), but there was absolutely no hot water in the shower at all. I felt like I was taking the polar plunge, and was only able to really wash my hair, and not my body because it was just too cold (my fingernails turned blue!). The shared bathroom shower did indeed have hot water, which I didn't find out until after my polar plunge, so I would honestly just avoid the ensuite bathroom altogether and just do your bathroom business in the shared bathroom off the kitchen and living room area. My only other complaints are there is just one sofa (just big enough for roughly two people to sit on) in the living room area, even though the pictures show the sofa and another lounging chair, so my husband and I sat on the floor while my in-laws sat on the sofa with our daughter. One of the reasons I chose this place was because it looked like it had plenty of seating in the living room, so this was disappointing. The sisal rug we sat on needs to be replaced because it was shedding all over our clothes while we sat on the floor, and all over our socks where we walked on it. I had to change my daughter's PJs before she went to bed because I was worried she'd get splinters from the sisal. There is a steep step going from the inside of the living room to the outside of the balcony, and my daughter did tumble off the step and landed on her head onto the hard ceramic flooring, so I do wish there was some kind of soft indoor mat here to make it more child-friendly. When we arrived the requested pack-and-play was set up and ready to go for us, but the requested highchair was not, but this was quickly remedied with a message to Simon, and one was sent up shortly afterward. The patio door was also an issue because the handle was broken, but had a large padlock to use as a kind of replacement. It made it quite awkward for everyone to open and close the door. The staff were extremely friendly and the building itself felt safe and charming. The gated parking lot was nice, even if you have to pay extra to use it. It's honestly worth it if you plan on walking around a lot as we did. Simon was quick to respond to my questions and needs, so that was very pleasing as well. Overall our stay was pleasant for one night, and for the price, I would stay at one of Simon's lofts again, but will definitely be testing out the hot water before doing anything else, just in case the hot water issue wasn't an isolated occurrence.

It was a great location and close to many restaurants. The restaurant in that building was very good and I had to order the dry rob chicken twice. Simon was a great host and responded to our questions very quickly. When our AC broke down, he switched us to a different unit quickly.

We loved our stay at SoSuite. Apartment was spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Philadelphia.

This is a great find! It’s big even for 2 people. Location is everything. There were few minor issues with the wrong code for check in but they responded quickly for past midnight. Even with that, it’s a great place to stay because of the location. Please check out SOUTH (good southern food) or Juno ( Mexican) and you’re on top of a bar so you don’t have to go far for a good time. I would definitely stay again next time I’m in Philly.

Huge apartment I really enjoyed this apartment, spacious, nice balcony, convenient to franklin music hall. Pet friendly.

SoSuite was a nice loft apartment, however when we arrived there was only one towel for three guests and only one roll of toilet paper. The hot water also was not working in the en-suite bathroom. We advised SoSuite and they provided more towels and toilet paper later the next day. We had to follow up multiple times to have the hot water fixed, and eventually this was resolved too. They agreed to a small discount, due to the multiple issues we had. Overall, an ok place, but a hassle if something is not right.

This apartment was clean and nicely decorated. There was 2 cute restaurants very close and a beer garden nearby. The paid parking onsite was gated and safe. The neighborhood is a up and coming residential area a bit away from center city. You should plan to Uber to attractions.

Very nice stay, definitely worth the value. Good location. Almost like a hotel, bare bones. One shower only had cold water, though I’m sure they would have fixed it if we reached out (We only had a brief stay).

great location. you can choose to pay about 20 for on-site parking but there was plenty of street parking that was available in a good neighborhood. there's also a restaurant right next door which was convenient for good drinks and food open late! we would stay again definitely

This was our second visit to on of Simon’s properties. He was attentive and hospitable leading up to and throughout our visit. The loft was spacious, clean, and had amazing lighting.

Big space, it looks exactly as in the pictures. It is 20 min on foot from the historical sites. Everthing was very clean, with big and confortable beds. Good heating as well!! Simon was super communicative with us, and all the instructions for both check-in and check-out were clear and easy. We will repeat here in our next trip to Philly :)
