Fantastic reasonably priced hotel in walking distance to many activities! Positive: Location! Close to many touristy activities, clean and I could bring my dog! Negative: Parking but that’s a Philly issue not the hotel!

Positive: Great location opp independence mall, beautiful entrance hall Negative: Unit didn't have washer and dryer; very loud from street and independence hall bell; staff not very communicative, worn room interior (worm out sofa), smell of pets, not enough sockets near the bed, sounds from open piping

Overall a nice stay, although there was a very noticeable upgrade after the first paid-for cleaning as the apartment was suddenly much cleaner and amenities which should have been there before appeared. Cleanliness overall could be improved as most cleaning was done carelessly without attention to corners etc. Kitchen utilities are okay but improvable. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Amenities like the gym were great. The main negative part of the stay was the noise. As described in the listing the pipes are quite loud but only occasionally and that was expected. What was certainly not expected was the constant noise from the vents and A/Cs just outside the window, which could not be overheard at any time of the day. The host was also unable to provide another room as any would have been an improvement. The host responded with providing a white noise Maschine and ear plugs which did little to improve the situation. Very unfortunate as this should definitely be listed.

the lofts are nice. the location is great. parking is utter misery. I suspect this listing is for multiple lofts within the building as the unit I got was completely different from the one in the pictures. the amenities are different where they show you have an Nespresso machine there is no Nespresso machine. there's a front desk person and I don't know if I was just there on a bad night but I couldn't get a hold of anyone to get my key cards so I was stuck outside for 30 minutes and then when someone else let me in I had to wait another 30 minutes after texting this number and then he appeared and then really didn't say much to me besides just giving me my keys. it's just weird because the setup is actually a company not necessarily a small operation so I would think things would be a little more streamlined.

Positive: Location was amazing....literally across the street from Independence Hall Negative: So the bedroom came with earplugs on the night stand. That should tell you something. The hotel is a renovated old office building and soundproofing clearly wasn't part of the upgrades. We could here people in the next room at 2:00 a.m. just talking to one another...nothing particularly loud. It kept my wife up. It's unfortunate because I really liked the place overall.

Disappointing Positive: The residence is in excellent position Negative: No cleaning service. No accommodation services. No changing of towels and staff. The warranty for our stay was received without any reason at all. Disappointing and not value for money at all.

Host was flexible and professional with some last minute changes - much appreciated. Place was very clean and comfortable with useful amenities. Location was perfect - exact location can be easily found on their page and it was great - right in the heart of the festivities we were there for. And a nice bonus - the TV had some great stuff for the kids. Loved this place and won't stay anywhere else in that area.

Solid place to stay for a few nights. Had some drawbacks but nothing to keep me from staying again Positive: Great location, fantastic lofted studio space, parking was tough though. Walkable to everything nearby. Negative: Sofa was sunken to a large degree, there was a yapping dog throughout the stay we could hear, and the exposed plumbing was fairly noisy. Nothing to keep me from sleeping .

Very cool building, the lobby is gorgeous! The valet parking is absolutely worth it. The space is very quiet, and clean. I would love to stay again!

I stayed a whole month in this airbnb, which had many advantages. First, it is more like a hotel than an airbnb, with lots of helpful people available at any times, and lots of amenities (such as the gym, which was well equipped). Second, the apartment was very clean, with a kitchen super well equipped for cooking. Third, the location of the Ledger residence is perfect, as it is right next to many historic monuments of Philadelphia, and a walking distance from the center city as well as bus/metro stops. On a side note, the heating system was working but lacked a bit when it got really cold for some days (14 F). There was also a lot of loud street noise a few times. Overall, I'm very happy I chose this airbnb for my stay in Philly, and I would chose is it again if I had to come back. Very recommended!

Our stay was comfortable and located exactly where I needed it to be. Positive: The location was perfect. The ease of leaving and coming back was easy. The apartment was clean and neat. I also was glad they had valet so I didn’t have to worry about my car all weekend. Negative: The couch was saggy in the middle so it made it hard to find a good spot to sit and there were not throw blankets that I could find. But really, not a big deal.

The nespresso machine was my favorite touch!! Negative: Street noise was a little noisy at night. Would've liked a fan or something to drown out the outside noise. Also, there was a random noise through the pipes overhead that happened a few times that scared me to death the first time, but not sure it could be helped, just part of exposed duct/pipes in a loft environment.

Parking, naturally, is a bit of a thing in and of itself-- But the location is great, so that's to be expected. To be fair, it was very late at night/ late check in, but, had issues and couldn't get into the place until about an hour after I arrived-- but overall great place, and service was responsive despite it being very late at night, so can't complain too much, overall would recommend!

Negative: PLEASE sit on tge sofa and sleep in the bed.sofa is so low and SO u co.fortable you don't want to spend time there. Bed was super soft w a valley in the center. No sleep. Bathroom sink...when yiu bend to brush your teeth medicine cabinet hits your head...maybe recess it? The bed and sofa rated a 1 in a 1 to 10. But, loved the value, cleanliness, staff and location. It's a shame you can't clean up the look of the wi dows across the courtyard..we were 237...they had broken blinds, just looked bad. Not sure it's part of your hotel under reno or what. You have an awesome concept.

I was misdirected by the impersonating air bnb host who was giving me information regarding the facility. Sent me a listing for the wrong location when I asked for the one location specifically. This lead to not being able to stay there nd spending money on a hotel, on top of the security deposit they took, 620& for the 5 days, 150$ for parking for the last 3 days. Also nowhere to park at that. Almost unable to get out of my ruck due to the excessive amount of rats parading through the valet area Again, management informed me of the person “Simon” and their true identity… which is a Filipino man that they hired to do their hosting.

Chaos at First, then it was wonderful Positive: The second apartment I had was great! Comfortable, great location. Negative: I had to switch to a bigger apartment and pay more because I could not fit up the narrow stairs to the bed

Absolutely memorable Positive: Absolutely loved the location. The room was very large and immaculate. Negative: Nothing major just simple suggestions. USB outlet or two would be a great addition. Coffee mugs as well. Couldn’t find them anywhere.

I definitely could not recommend this place to another person. While the building was nice and the location was great, the loft was clearly a very rushed and shoddy conversion from whatever it was before. There were errant rusted nails and piping poking out of the ceiling, some chunks of the wood from the old ceiling was still there but painted over, and the walls between units were thin and incomplete, to the extent that I could see the light from the next room, through cracks at the top of the wall. Not to mention due to the wall being poorly built, I could hear the room next to me as if there was no wall at all. Overall, this isn't worth the price.

Fantastic location!! This place had everything I needed for a quick trip to Philly. I was able to walk to everything I wanted to see. The other reviewers were correct that the walls are quite thin, but bring ear plugs and you should be fine.

Overall our stay was pleasant and the space checked most of the boxes.

Positive: The apartment was beautiful and the old building was magnificent. Excellent location, so close to Old City and Liberty bell. The coffee in room was delish. Negative: The couch in Living room was not very comfortable and the locking of the door at 10:57 am was annoying. We were on our way back up to get our prepacked luggage and could not get back into room.

Positive: The location was absolutely perfect to walk to historical sites. Negative: I didn’t particularly like the coffee provided. I prefer regular coffee.

This place is exactly like the pictures and clean. The building was unique and in a great location for tourists. My husband and I only needed this place out of necessity when our apartment lost power for 3 nights. We used this Airbnb for a shower, Wi-Fi, and to get our pets out of the heat. It was perfectly fine for what we needed. Unfortunately the walls are actually paper thin. Someone in the unit next to us that was coughing the entire time. It sounded like they were inside the room with us.

My stay was just average. I may have had a better experience had it not been short staffed. Positive: The location was ideal. The hotel was clean. I liked having the taller fridge and appliances. I liked the simplicity of it. Negative: The steps going up to the loft was absolutely beautiful. But it seemed a little dangerous too with the spiral staircase. Im only 5’4 and about 150 lbs. I dont see the average person thinking this is user friendly. Also the furniture (couch) was rigged maybe by the tenants before me. I sat on the couch and the couch dropped to the floor. I texted the hotel and my agent was quite helpful.

Perfect home and location for a visit to Philadelphia!

This was a good resting spot between Philly explorations! Pros and cons below. Pros: central location to Philly activities, clean place, pet-friendly, full kitchen, safe. Cons: thin walls and a very steep/tight staircase. We were OK with the staircase, but I do not recommend this unit if you have any mobility issues.

I have nothing good to say about this booking. There were specs on what I think was concrete from the ceiling all over the bedding. There was hair on the silverware in the drawer. The walls are so thin and open at the very top to where noise from other suites sounds like it is in yours. We couldn’t take the noise from the suite next to us as it seemed they were having a party. We got maybe 3 hours of sleep and even after contacting Simon multiple times, the noise continued. We ended up having to check out after the first night as the whole experience was awful. Even with all of these issues, Simon would not issue a refund for the nights we did not stay. 10/10 would NOT recommend this to anyone.

Overall a great stay in an excellent location. Close to all the historic sites we wanted to visit. Can definitely get extremely loud at night and the clock chimes woke me up constantly so you may want to rethink if you are a super light sleeper.

I needed to relocate and to be able to do work while some repairs being done and this place was perfect.

Excellent location

Beautiful little loft apartment. Located in the old city of Philadelphia. Lots of sites to see and places to walk and explore. Great workout facilities in the building. Extremely pet friendly. Safe. Our one issue was that the walls are thin. Our next door neighbor was very loud several nights from 10pm until 4am. There was no escape from the music, arguing, and other more relationally private types of noises on both Friday and Saturday night. One night they had must have had a room full of guests to party. We were told that several nearby guests complained. But the noise did not stop until they finally fell asleep. We ended our stay one day early just to be able to get some sleep. It was a shame that it ended this way. We had spent six wonderful days in this room until the problems began.

Simon always replied in just minutes. Place is clean, secure and well locates. Even though in the unit it gets a little noisy, and u can hear conversations or TV from next door. Internet was intermittent during our stay.

Perfect location for anyone interested in walking to their historic points of interest throughout their stay. Excellent food and tour options nearby, as well as a parking garage directly across from the building. You can hear the bell chime from this loft, but I found it very charming. The loft itself was immaculate and very comfortable. I highly recommend this rental if ever you find yourself in Philadelphia!

The location was wonderful. Very cute and clean. Loved hearing the bell on clock ring every hour, pretty cool. Simon was responsive and helpful. Would definitely recommend staying here. Great parks to walk our dog in all around. Close to everything. We will be back! Thank you!

I have mixed feelings about our stay here at Sosuite | The Ledger. Pros: *The apartment is exactly as it shows in the pictures. *The location is great. You are steps away from the Liberty Bell, Independence Hall and down the road from Washington Square. *Unlike many Airbnb's, this place always someone at the front who can assist. *The price is excellent and I would pay it again. The location, amenities, and space are nicely decorated and provide more than a standard hotel. Cons: *The staircase for the lofts is EXTERMELY narrow. I couldn't use them without my body pushing against both sides at the same time. My partner does not like how steep they are coming down. *We heard outside noise anywhere from 7:00am - 1:30am. A mix of workers and something dragging. *There are additional check-in steps and deposit that take away from the seamless checkout of Airbnb. *There is a plastic cover on the mattress that causes lots of noise. The shower whistles loudly when in use, it wakes you.

Perfect stay Close by to everything and walkable to many restaurants. Close by to many museums and monuments and a lot of cool things to do. The only downside was the walls are too thin that you can hear the neighbors, especially after a night of them partying We got woken up to the neighbors talking loudly from 3-5 am because they went out partying and got drunk. I had to go down to tel the security and he handled the situation Overall it was okay

I wish I could say that I enjoyed my experience here, however, due to VERY ambiguous and misleading description regarding the possibility of a security deposit, I was not only denied access to my booking, but I also could not be refunded for my reservation. There are a lot of deceptive practices going on here, such that a clause denying refund of reservation cost (and in the case of airbnb, it’s the total cost of your stay) follows the vague description. If a security deposit is required, make it a requirement, not a possibility. They reserve the right, for any reason, to charge or wave a security deposit for any arbitrary reason. Very, very, very poor business dealings with one of most expensive price tags here. I would not recommend this place to anyone, for any reason, ever.

Gorgeous, comfortable, and much more space than what is seen in the pictures!! My boyfriend and I would love to come back for another stay. We felt right at home.

Great stay, couldn't be happier. Positive: Well laid out studio/suite, location adjacent to Independence hall & 10 minute walk to South Street couldn't be better. Staff was awesome & went above & beyond helping us. My partner has mobility issues & they did everything possible to assist us. Negative: While the building is wheelchair accessible, like many historic buildings, it requires a little extra maneuvering to enter. We live in a city with many historic structures so this was expected, but heads up.
