Negative: The church bells every hour. The water for the shower wasn't warm at all.
My daughter and I really enjoyed our stay at the Ledger. The place has just about everything you would need for a short stay or even longer. We felt it was sized appropriately for 2 guests. More guests would have felt tight. the apartment is clean and clutter-free. we used the washer/dryer combo in our apartment and this was easy. Check-in/Check-out were easy. There was an attendant at the entrance every time we came and left. Area feels very safe and right in the middle of the old city area with plenty of historic charm. We were able to navigate to other areas of the city easily from this AirBnB. the only thing I would add is that the apartment got a little bit warm! Could have used a fan. We did not try to open window.
Our trip to Philly was so great!! The pictures didn’t even do the property justice. It was so cute and in the best location. I couldn’t have asked for a better, cleaner, cuter place!!!!

Very clean place. Decent view of the square, amenities were useful and functioning. A few streaming services were covered on the tv which was very convenient for us. No complaints.
Apartment building was safe and the unit was clean and comfortable. Unit is walkable distance from lots of places of interest and restaurants. I would definitely rent again.

This was the best place to stay if you’re exploring historical Philly. The window view was of Independence Hall. It was clean and quiet. I love that it had a washer and dryer inside of the unit. The loft had plenty of room. My boyfriend is very tall and he didn’t have issues bumping into anything. Everything is in walking distance!

A great place to stay in prime location Positive: Location was great if you’re planning on doing a lot of tourist related activities. Negative: The building is old and felt like an institution. Another thing, if you bring your dog be aware of the town bell that goes off every hour. It’s quite loud.
Simon’s suite was an excellent value - was exactly as pictured and described, with a very comfortable couch, bed, and linens. It was equipped with everything you might need, and is in a very convenient location. Communication was great - Simon was proactive and also very responsive. I’ll definitely have this place at the top of my list next time I need to stay in Philly.
We loved the location with the parks on either side. The room was just as it looked online.

Amazing location and beautiful place. Literally, right in the heart of Old City, across the street from Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell and a bunch of other awesome stops. The place was beautiful and comfortable as well.
Your average millennial AirBNB - good, just not very relaxing. Biggest disappointment was the couch - it was completely broken, sunken, and stained, making the living room space unusable. Since we paid extra for a unit with a living room, it was a real letdown. The tables and desk had water rings and stains too. There was a noticeable layer of dust throughout the unit, which isn’t ideal - especially for anyone with asthma/allergies. The noise was tough. Between barking dogs in the hallway, loud neighbors, street traffic, and an event space above us, it was hard to get much quiet. That level of noise wasn’t expected. On a positive note, the bed and blankets were clean and cozy. The shower was okay, though we did run out of hot water. We appreciated the clean fridge and convenience of an in-unit washer/dryer. The stay was okay; not great. If you’re planning to be out most of the time, it could work - but if you’re looking for comfort and peace, this might not be the best fit.

This was a very neat stay! The building is gorgeous and full of historical charm, the room was very ‘builder grade’ bland but plenty clean and free of clutter! Check-in was very easy, no issues and the front desk guy was very nice! Bed was clean, comfortable, in the loft area (I had no trouble with the ceilings and I am 5’11). Kitchen and bathroom had everything I needed. Really appreciate the ear plugs as freedom does ring all night long, haha!Overall great, I would stay here again!

Best location for us in Philly! So easy to walk and close to every historical site we wanted to see. Great place and people.
Great location but many small issues made the stay less comfortable. Positive: The location was perfect and quality toiletries and dish soap were provided. Negative: Paying extra for the park view was not worth it. The window rattled with most vehicles that drove past. The spiral staircase was slippery in socks and I fell going down even when being careful. The bathroom could have been cleaned better and the toilet seat was slippery. There was no ice, no ice tray, and the front desk was unable to direct me on where I could get ice. The tv had been signed out of WiFi and it was overly complicated getting help to address this issue. Even when we allowed someone access to the room to sign it back into WiFi, none of the apps were logged into, so we couldn’t access any media without logging into personal accounts.
Enjoyed my stay here. The location is great and so convenient to explore the city. It can be a bit noisy, but it wasn’t a big issue for me.
I'd have given the stay 4.5 stars, but that is not possible in airbnb. The good: - Good price and pet friendly suites. - Good kitchen appliances, and utensils. - Great location in the heart of city center, walkable to a lot of restaurants and historic spots. - Decent internet speed. - Responsive communication on airbnb. Not a fan of: - Having to manage your stay over airbnb and their proprietary webapp can get tedious. If you book valet parking, then it is 3 webapps and that gets even more confusing. The email sent by the parking app contained incorrect information that caused quite a bit of confusion. I would have preferred if everything was just managed through airbnb. - The roku doesn't have some common apps, and you can't change the settings. Just a small nitpick, but something that might grate over longer stays.
My second time staying with them and I have nothing but great things to say again I’ll definitely be staying again

Amazing location, beautiful accommodation. Super worthwhile Airbnb. Comfortable, clean, great amenities! This place will not be suitable for people who have limited mobility because of the spiral stairs, so look out for those in the photos.
I stayed for about 6 weeks. The hosts were very accommodating, the apartment was comfortable, and the staff in the building were friendly. Both myself and my dog felt right at home.
Overall this was a pleasant stay. The aesthetic was exactly what we were hoping for. However, check-in was complicated. The front desk attendant was less than helpful, but we did eventually figure it out. Parking is inconvenient, and expensive if you park in the parking garage. The loft was very cozy and welcoming, with a good open view of the courtyard of Independence Hall.
Be forewarned, this place is directly across the street from Independence Hall, where they ring that bell for liberty every hour, on the hour, even in the middle of the night. Once you get used to that, it's lovely. Cool apartment in a classy building in a fun part of town that's also an easy walk to several other fun parts of town. Highly recommend.

Overall, my husband and I were very satisfied with our stay. The location was excellent and centered well, situated between the activities we had planned for the trip - Independence Hall, Reading, China Town, Italian Market tour, historic walking tour, several well reviewed restaurants. We had our 7 month old with us and SoSuite app made it super easy to request a pack and play and high chair for our stay on the brief pre-check in survey sent a few days before our stay. Loved having a decently arranged kitchen that met all basic needs. There are very few things I would change about our stay!
10/10. Would recommend. The loft was spotless and Simon was very responsive throughout the entire trip. We also loved the sosuite portal. It was so helpful. The location was so nice and we felt safe the entire time. Would stay again.
The unit is fantastic! Very clean and easily accessible. The only downside is that it is very, very noisy outside on the weekends. And with the liberty bell so close by, it is very loud from midnight on

My wife and I had a great time staying with Simon at Sosuite. The pictures matched exactly what the accommodations looked like, and the location was excellent. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted/needed to go. Parking is limited so we were able to park in a nearby garage...absolutely not the cheapest option, but it is the city.Definitely enjoyed the stay!

Convenient spot in good location. Some parts of the building and apartment could do with a little updating but overall very pleasant and well appointed.
While the stay and general atmosphere around the stay was fine, when I checked out, they sent pictures of 'stains' that had happened on the furniture that were 100% not there when I checked out and charged me for it. Just be weary of this when booking, especially as they require a lot of deposits outside of the AirBNB app. Stay was otherwise fine.
