It was the perfect location for our Shenandoah getaway -- incredibly peaceful setting with a view of pastures, mountains, and foliage; great dark sky for stars and sunrises; short drives to Old Rag for hiking and to the Inn at Little Washington for splurging.

Had a wonderful time. This is such a cute little A-frame that has everything you need and incredible views of the mountains!

We came to hike Old Rag and this was the perfect spot to stay. Beautiful place with wonderful views of Old Rag.

We absolutely loved this Airbnb! Not only is the scenery spectacular, but you can really tell how much time, effort, and thought the hosts put into making the place feel like a home away from home. The kitchen is fully stocked, there are plenty of towels and extra bedsheets, and they even had firewood ready for us to enjoy the fire pit! The house was spotless, so cutely decorated, and we especially loved the cozy A-frame design. The bed was also incredibly comfortable! The property itself is beautifully secluded and private, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Waking up every morning to the gorgeous views and enjoying the sunsets was easily one of the highlights of our trip. The jacuzzi was another favorite, especially at night when we could sit back and stargaze. And cows next door?! It really doesn’t get much better than that! The location is also perfect. You’re only about 10 minutes from the Old Rag and 15 minutes in the other direction from the cutest town.

Beautiful place!

My hubby and I just loved our stay at Kellys house! It is beautiful, clean and comfy. The cows are friendly and fun to watch as they make their way around their field. The setting is outstanding and just spectacular! Her home has anything you might want. We highly recommend this lovely home! It really made for a memorable stay! Close to nice hikes and interesting cavern visits! 😍

A beautiful A-frame, exactly as described, in a very peaceful location. Kelly was always very responsive and checked in on us frequently to make sure we were having a good stay. Wonderful experience. Highly recommend.

Kelly went above and beyond in communicating with us. The place was clean and well stocked with essentials. The location what drew us to this AirBnB, being only a short drive from beautiful hikes.

I love booking Airbnbs that allow us to continue the experience while we're sleeping. By staying at this "triangle house" as my son called it we felt like we never left the beauty of the national park. From the views to the birds it was Virginia at it's best. The downstairs shower fit my 6 foot 4 inch husband, a rarity. I thought the labels were a thoughtful touch, making it easy to find everything. Clean, spacious, comfortable and character. Easily one of my favorite Airbnb bookings.

Me and my son visited Kelly's Place while we were visiting Shenandoah National Park and luray caverns. The Location was absolutely gorgeous. the photos do not do it justice. Mountain views and surrounded by fields. Kelly was super proactive about making sure i had everything i could need for our stay. not only was the house clean and tidy but there were also a bunch of brochures for local things to do. i would highly recommend staying here if youre looking for a peaceful retreat!

My friends and I had a fantastic time here! The scenery is stunning, the house is clean and comfortable, and the amenities are wonderful. We spent most of our time going to wineries, hanging in the hot tub, or drinking coffee taking in the view. We were only here for 3 days but we would have easily stayed longer!

We had the best time during our stay. We went to Virginia for our honeymoon and the place was perfect. The view was amazing and really enjoyed going in the hot tub. We would definitely go back!

We had an absolutely amazing stay at this A-Frame and couldn't have asked for a better getaway! It's tucked away in such a peaceful, quiet area that makes it easy to disconnect and unwind. The mountain views are absolutely breathtaking, and at night the sky comes alive with countless stars Sitting outside and taking it all in, was truly unforgettable. The Outdoor fire pit created the perfect cozy atmosphere after a day of Hiking Old Rag, and the hot tub was the perfect place to relax while enjoying the incredible scenery. Awesome place to stay at with a really Awesome view to wake up to. Really enjoyed the space and had everything you needed. It really was a little slice of heaven.

Beautiful private location, clean interior, communicative and kind host, staying here was amazing and completely stress-free! The only neighbors you’ll see are cows who occasionally come to say “Hi!” or an adorable pair of bunny rabbits who like to hang around outside! We will definitely be looking to come back in the future, highly recommend! Oh, and I highly suggest looking through the guest book located on a table near the kitchen for local recommendations and cute entries from previous guests!

Great, easy place to stay, just out of Rappahannock, but 10 minutes away from Sperryville and area. Highly recommended.

What a wonderful home! We will definitely stay here again. Less than 10 minutes to the old rag parking lot and only 15 minutes into Sperryville for coffee, restaurants, and shopping. There’s also multiple wineries within 10-20 minutes. The house was immaculate and the views of the mountains from the family room and the porch are priceless!

We truly enjoyed our stay at sojourners rest. While the inside was lovely and comfortable, it was the outdoor view that truly made this place special. If you’re looking for somewhere to unwind and soak in beautiful surroundings, this Airbnb is an easy recommendation.

We had an AMAZING getaway here. The weather was beautiful, the place is so serene and private, and the scenery is breathtaking. The host was extremely responsive and the place was perfect. Extra props for the king sized bed upstairs, a luxury i didn’t know i needed!!!

We enjoyed the feel of this unique A frame. We considered staying in the park and made the right choice to stay here. The hot tub was a nice end to our days after long hikes at Shenandoah. A lovely, peaceful respite. We felt right at home. Seeing the cows grazing in the fields and the sounds of roosters and doggies on the breeze is comforting. She provides the cutest stamped postcards to send while you’re away.

Two friends and I stayed at the A-frame during a weekend trip to Shenandoah to do some hiking. The house was perfect for us- cozy and clean, with everything we needed for our stay. The open layout was really nice and we enjoyed the peaceful location with gorgeous mountain views out the windows. Soaking in the hot tub after hiking was also a major highlight. The location is just a 15 minute drive to the old rag and whiteoak canyon trailheads.

We had a great stay here. Very convenient to Old Rag parking lot and the hot tub was great after a long hike. The view is lovely. The couches are not very comfortable, but the kitchen is well stocked.

Peaceful, loved the hot tub, and the balconies and views we will be back.

Very peaceful home in the mountains. If you’re looking for a getaway to enjoy the company of the people you’re with, this is the place to go!

I love this place so much that my partner and I want to come back during the summer. We were here for my birthday celebration and I wanted to take nice photos with a nice mountain view and it came out as I wanted. The getaway was so much needed, the hot tub was so relaxing, I stay in it for a good time just enjoying the breathtaking view to the mountains. In the inside you don’t get no outside noise is so quiet to rest. Definitely planing on coming back again. The host is really attentive and friendly. Thank you again for an amazing service we felt at home.

Place was very nice and clean with nice views. Only thing that wasn't clear from the listing was that the hot tub was not close to the house - it was next to an outdoor patio about 50 feet or so down the driveway.

First, the hosts were very kind, responsive and helpful with anything I needed during my stay. This house is super cozy and has everything you need for a peaceful getaway. With beautiful views and friendly furry neighbors, I felt safe and comfortable. The location on top of a hill overlooking farmlands and mountains was absolutely exquisite. The 3/4 upper and lower decks were great for relaxing and enjoying these views. Being 10 minutes from Old Rag Mountain and under 30 from an entrance point on Skyline Drive was also wonderful. Just across the street is a Little Country Store that makes delicious fresh brisket too. I found Sojourner's Rest to be appropriately named and a perfect getaway retreat.

This was a phenomenal place to stay for those visiting the area. Close to both the great hikes and park as well as the plethora of different places to visit between breweries, wineries, and small town charm. It had a great view with great amenities and perfect for a couples getaway.

This was our second stay here and we loved it just as much as the first time. We are already planning our next hike! This will always be the air bnb we choose for our Etlan getaway!

Great location if you’re looking for wonderful views and proximity to Shenandoah NP. The outdoor patio and fire pit were very nice…we used for several meals and cooking s’more’s while looking at the stars/mountain views. The power went out in the area unexpectedly so we had to drive to town to get service (20mins) to tell someone, but Kelly was very responsive and helped get us an update from the utility company who restored the power quickly.

My wife and I had an amazing time! The views are incredible and the cabin is beautiful. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a beautiful getaway.

Enjoyed our stay!

This was a great place for a weekend of hiking in Shenandoah! We loved the hot tub, views from the deck and patio, and visits from the local cows who came right up the fence. Kelly was a super responsive host and the primary king sized bed upstairs was very comfortable! If you’re coming with more than one couple, the other sleeping options don’t afford much privacy and the bath upstairs is best suited for shorter people due to the A frame design of the house.

My partner and I stayed here for our 6th year anniversary. It was so peaceful and beautiful. The hot tub overlooking the mountains with the cows is the best part. The house was as described and is even better in person!

Awesome views and very comfortable home. The gas grill is top shelf. We enjoyed the view from the jacuzzi as well as the porch. The people in the area are very friendly. Highly recommend.

Beautiful house in a beautiful location. It is very close to Old Rag Mountain trailhead and easy to get to if that is what you're coming here for. Perfect place to relax, get away from society, and enjoy the gorgeous views. I would recommend this place to anybody!

This stay exceeded our expectations. The home was clean and super comfy. The views were stunning. We were looking for a peaceful vibe in close proximity to great hiking and this fit the bill. Sperryville with quaint shops/coffee 12mins by car and the Little Country Store just a walk away. Hope to visit again soon!

Had an amazing friend's weekend at Kelly's place. The house is really nice and has an unbeatable view of Shenandoah valley. Perfect base camp for hiking and other siteseeing around the area. Come back and chill in the hot tub after a long day out and about or hang back and enjoy the view. Kelly was attentive and friendly and provided very clear instructions on everything. Would totally stay again!

This was thee cutest house! looks exactly like the pictures, easy to find and has everything you could ask for. The scenery is amazing. The hot tub was perfect after a long hike and the bed was so comfortable! we even made friends with a woman up the street who grows and sells fresh produce and more. 100% would stay here again!!

Positive: Lovely property in the countryside - well equipped and very clean. Perfect! Negative: We had problems getting in! There is a lock box at one porch and a key pad at another door (the instructions for entry didn’t point this out) . It would have helped enormously if we had been told there were 2 ways to access the property and been given the codes for both. We are from the UK which is maybe why we were confused - and no cell service to call the emergency numbers. But it didn’t spoil our stay there!

My girlfriend and I stayed here for a small break during school. The house and surrounding area was fantastic and there are unbelievable views all around. The hot tub and fire pit were huge bonuses!

The local shop was super cute and the local vineyards, breweries, distillery, and restaurants were to die for! We head out to these parts a few times a year and are never disappointed! My husband and I were in need of some time away and the house did not disappoint. We arrived to a clean home and I cannot express enough how gorgeous the views are. It is impossible to capture that much beauty in a photo. The bed was comfortable, there is a Little Country Store you can walk to and there are countless wineries and breweries in the area. Kelly was a great host and quick to respond when I had a question. We definitely hope to visit again.

Sojourner’s Rest offered stunning views of Shenandoah and the perfect amenities for a cabin vacation in the snow. Fire pit and hot tub allowed the outdoors to be enjoyable despite the temperature and the cozy A frame style was perfect for bunkering in amid the flurries. Cabin has a full kitchen and plenty of sleeping/living space that made for an enjoyable trip. Will likely return.

I stayed with my husband and our very young kids and we had a lovely stay! Gorgeous views of the mountains especially with the snow we had. The hot tub was a big hit for all of us after playing in the snow. There’s a small store within walking distance right down the road. The sleeping arrangements worked well for us and were very comfortable and cozy. The kids are begging us to go back!
