Well-appointed, comfortable home. Space was perfect for 2 adults and 3 teens. The house is remote, very quiet and relaxing. The house sits on a body of water that feeds into Sleepy Hollow Lake, the water is very murky off the dock so we couldn’t swim as we would have liked. Kayaks and canoes were used often, as was the record player and great collection of vinyl. Communication with host was easy and all questions were answered quickly.

Relaxing Family Time We wanted to find a place where my scattered family of 5 busy adults could reconnect and this property was perfect for us. We’d love to come back! Check-in was beyond easy and communication with the property managers both before and during our two week stay was great. The neighborhood is very quiet and the cabin is set back from the street so you really feel you’re living in the woods. It was so clean it sparkled and its various levels are even more beautiful than the photographs show. The kitchen is well-stocked and the gas grill made for easy dinners. Kayaking and swimming were perfect during some of the hottest days and it always felt great to return to the house after exploring the area. Things to be aware of: the stairs going down to the first level as well as those leading to the third floor are steep, which may be a challenge for people with mobility issues; the house is deep in a wooded area so you may be driving a lot and once you leave the house, wifi and GPS may be limited in your car until you are out of the community; finally, the path to the kayaks is also very steep. Sturdy rubber-soled water shoes recommended!

5 adults (ages 35-82), 3 dogs (ages 6-13) and a 3 &1/2 year old. Everyone was comfortable, we had SO much to do and the house was beautiful. We kayaked, swam, fished, cooked at home, hiked the local trails, relaxed - oh boy did we relax - the deck was our favorite place! The pool was great, we went everyday. The house has so much more than you need and it was SO kid friendly. We brought more than we needed to (as you do with a kid) but truthfully we didn’t need to bring toys, they had everything, even down to the bath toys. The toiletries provided were amazing. Enough space to eat dinner together every night. I could go on, we can’t wait to be back!

Excellent spot. It matches the description very well and was very clean and well set up inside. The kitchen was stocked with all you can hope for in an air bnb to make cooking not a big ordeal (oils, some spices, good utensils and cookware). The house is part of a lake community, and we made use of the nearby pool and playground area a few times. Nearby towns are cute and we found activities in the area to do with kids while we were there

Lovely Airbnb in a quiet neighborhood. It's conveniently located 20 minutes from Hudson. It does get pitch black at night so be mindful when driving around Athens at night time. Overall we enjoyed our stay here and the fireplace was a nice touch. We unfortunately didn't spend much time using the amenities in the community, but there are lots of activities onsite.

Easy access to the lake was enjoyable. We took the kayaks and canoe out every day during our stay. First we’d have coffee on the deck every morning and watch the wildlife. At a certain point of day the sun was in just the right spot to see two large shadows (probably carp) swimming around near the house. These were the same carp surface feeding early in the early morning entertaining us with tail slaps while we sipped coffee. Our stay was very relaxing and enjoyed by all.

We had a wonderful time... A community was beautiful and peaceful and quiet... Everything was very clean and updated. We're planning on staying again

Had a very relaxing Father’s Day with my husband and FIL. Overall we enjoyed the house, the deck was wonderful. My gripe is we chose this place because its lake front. It’s more on the river that leads to the lake which I didn’t realize. That was fine but the dock also had all kinds of sticks stuck under the dock which were in turn growing algae. It seemed like they hadn’t cleared out around the dock for at least a season or two which made it difficult to swim from the house. That being said, we had a lovely weekend and the hosts were very responsive!

Beautiful home exactly as advertised. Quiet and peaceful. We especially enjoyed the kayaks, community pool and relaxing in the fire pit area.

Very nice place for a family getaway. Beautiful surroundings, had fun fishing, canoeing and kayaking. Our dogs loved the doggie beach! Found some good restaurants and shopping not too far away. It was the community yard sale during our weekend and we had some good finds.

We had a lovely stay! We fell in love with Sleepy Hollow Lake on this trip!

We were hoping there would be a house manual that told us where things were surrounding the lake.. the pools, golf range, local grocery stores, restaurants, etc…
