Positive: I loved loved loved the decor and the space for a large family of all ages (or two families). It's unique that it has a kitchen downstairs and upstairs. My family enjoyed playing golf in the backyard with young children and playing ping pong and arcade with medium age children. There is also a pool table and a TV in every room. I appreciate that the WIFI is texted to the person paying for the rental (to be shared) and not publicly displayed to remove the temptation of children being awake on technology all night. It has nice size, quality, and easy to use appliances (washer and dryer, dishwashers, fridges) with more than adequate laundry, dishwasher, and soap available. There were also adequate towels and linens for our stay. The rooms and grounds were clean and relaxing. The pool temperature was perfect even in October. (We did not request any pool heating but it is available). I was sad to leave my air fryer at home but was able to use their propane grill in the backyard instead. Cleanup was easy. I texted to request the checkout requirements and they were simple: "No lengthy checkout list here, our team handles the rest. We just ask that you lock up, turn off lights and appliances, and set the thermostat to COOL at 76° (summer) or HEAT at 65° (fall/winter) on your way out. If you have a few extra minutes, loading the dishwasher and hitting start is a great help, but no pressure if you're rushing out." It made for a nice departure. Negative: There was minor neglect that is easy for staff to overlook so I didn't fault them for it. The liquid handsoap containers in the bathrooms seemed full but they were watered down to the level where there was inadequate soap and difficulty getting an adequate amount of soap into the hand for lathering without excess water dripping off the hands. There was body wash in the shower though to use instead. We only had a sponge to clean the egg crust out of our skillets every morning and that was challenging. A better scrubby would be useful. We had a double set of dishes upstairs and no dishes downstairs so we carried a set down there. There was no pool light. We found what we think is the switch but the bulb was likely burned out. A label would be useful with a reminder to turn it off or a timer that shuts it off automatically. There is capacity for 18 people. We had 12 people and 3 people complained about the bed pillows being too large and firm and putting a crick in their neck. Others may have just not said anything. Two people borrowed couch pillows and put a pillow case on those instead; the other person brought their own pillow. Pillows are a personal preference but perhaps a variety of densities of pillows could be made available in the house in the future.
