Beautiful home and tastefully decorated. We found the home to be quite comfortable and inviting. Kitchen was well stocked with nice cookware and appliances. Will definitely stay here again and highly recommend this home for your next rental.

Beautiful, clean and comfortable home. Plenty of space for 4 adults and 1 child. Highly recommend. Several stairs to access the front door and the main level of home - sharing for folks with mobility issues. There was a slight odor in the main guest bathroom and the master bedframe wasn’t very sturdy. But overall, it was a good stay!

This place was great! In the middle of all the wonderful restaurants while still having the calm mountain feel! We loved it and would highly recommend this place! It was clean and a great space for our family of 4 and our 2 older teens with their own privacy!

We had a wonderful stay at this home. It is beautiful, well appointed and also cozy and comfortable. The sauna was also a nice treat. We loved the location for convenience to many places. The “Mountain View” was not exactly as expected but we would definitely stay here again!

Kelly is a great host!! We loved so many things about this home. The beds were very comfy. The furniture was homey, yet modern and super comfortable. We loved the entire house!! One wonderful feature was the openness of each floor but also the little secret places to just get alone, like the private patio with a great view in the Master bedroom. Also, there was a lot of thought that went into the flow of the home. A good example of this was the three floors to the home. Each one had a different age group in mind(kids on third floor living room with games etc up there. Also a triple bunk bed. Just brilliant. The middle floor was definitely for hosting and just all around great features throughout for any taste. The lower floor(we loved it) became our music room as we brought a lot of our own gear to enjoy our music all week. One wish was for another bedroom downstairs but we can’t have it all, right? Many thanks for a great experience!!

We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this home to guests looking for a beautiful, comfortable place to explore the Sugar Mountain area. The house is exactly as pictured, exceptionally clean, thoughtfully decorated, and very well maintained. The kitchen was spacious and had everything we needed during our stay. The beds and linens were comfortable, and the layout provided plenty of privacy for multiple guests. We especially enjoyed the three porches, which gave everyone their own space to relax and enjoy the outdoors. The only area where our expectations differed was the view. Because the listing references "stunning mountain views," we expected mountain vistas from the porches and main living areas. In reality, the views were primarily of the surrounding trees and nearby hillside. The setting was peaceful and private, but guests who value mountain views may want to ask for additional photos of the views from the porches before booking. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay!

Although we regularly spend time in this part of the NC mountains almost every year, this was our first time staying on Sugar Mtn, and we're very glad we stayed at Kelly's home. We were only a family of 4 traveling, so there was more space than we needed. The home could have easily accommodated two large families comfortably. The home is exactly as you see and read described in the listing. Everything looks brand new, high quality materials, decor, appliances, and very clean. Although there are other homes around, the trees and elevation of this home make it feel private and secluded, with beautiful views of the trees and hills surrounding the home. We've been customers of Airbnb, VRBO, and others for many years - so it stood out to me when my wife said this was her most favorite home we've stayed at so far. We look forward to booking this place again in the future.

Book this house, you won’t be disappointed. The house was super clean and well laid out. My kids love the up stairs area with all the gates and triple bunk beds. We would definitely stay here again.

We stayed here for a week with 5 teenagers. We had a blast! The place is beautiful, with great bathrooms, bath tub and showers are amazing. The three living rooms in three floors made it perfect for us to relax away from the kids, the boys from the girls, and when we wanted to hang out together, there was space for that too. It's 3min from the slopes and from the Food Lion.

We absolutely loved our stay and the house was perfect for our ski getaway! The house was stunning, had all the amenities we needed, and was right by Sugar Mountain Resort. The views were amazing to wake up to and can be seen throughout the house. The kiddos absolutely LOVED the bunk bed room, and the rec/playroom was such a hit with all the games and arcade console! Even the adults had such a blast there! Definitely will be coming back to this house, and will recommend it to friends as the place to stay! :)

Great stay, beautiful home. Adjacent (and technically inside) Sugar Mountain. Super convenient to the slopes. Easy ride to nearby restaurants in Banner Elk.

We stayed here during a family ski trip to Sugar Mountain and really enjoyed the mountain home. The space is beautifully designed and clearly well thought out, with lots of lovely, intentional touches that made it feel comfortable and welcoming after long days on the slopes. It worked very well for a family and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The only thing future guests should be aware of is that the booking requires signing an agreement outside of Airbnb. It was presented as a guest verification step, but it turned out to be a more comprehensive additional agreement than we expected. Everything ultimately worked out fine, but it’s something worth knowing in advance. Overall, a great stay in a thoughtfully designed home, and a wonderful base for a Sugar Mountain ski trip.

We had a great family getaway at this beautiful cozy home. We would definitely rent again. Location is convenient for skiing, ice skating etc as well as great restaurants and gift shops.

What a wonderful stay we had here! The place was wonderful and the perfect location to ski! Everything was 2 min away and we all had a great time! Make sure you’re in a bit of good shape for the stairs because they will get ya! Good exercise for sure! The home was so well done and kitchen had everything we needed!

This house is awesome! Very close to Sugar Mountain Resort skiing, tubing and ice skating. I think it’s brand new or updated.We absolutely loved it.

The place felt like home! Very peaceful and quiet area! The furnishings and everything is brand new and designed in the most cozy way. Highly recommend it! Each floor was purposefully designed so you can entertain or relax. Cannot wait to return!

Sugar High was outstanding from start to finish. It felt incredibly cozy, comfortable, and truly like home. The space had everything we needed, and the sauna was a fantastic bonus. Kelly was an excellent and responsive host. It’s also just a short drive to Banner Elk, which is a charming little town. We highly recommend this place and will definitely be back

Great location. The house was perfect. Lots of amenities in the house. I appreciated both the electronic and the “real life” guestbooks. Extremely proactive in the communication. It felt like a lot of thought went into our stay and that is appreciated.

This was the perfect setting for a weekend getaway! It was about a 10 minute drive to downtown Banner Elk where you’ll find great restaurants (Uncle Lee’s and Highlands Prohibition Kitchen were two of our fave). Kelly’s place is beautifully decorated, very comfortable, fully equipped, and has great views. We wished we could’ve stayed longer as it felt very cozy. It’s been saved for future visits. The drive up to the house was very doable and we didn’t drive an AWD (we had beautiful autumn weather to help) - the house is elevated but not at the very top of a mountain that makes the ride up feel to steep. My husband and I were joined by his friend and girlfriend and we didn’t feel cluttered at all - several spots to retrieve to yourself (multiple outside sitting areas). Highly recommend!

The house itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. It felt warm, inviting, and perfectly set up for a relaxing mountain getaway. The location was fantastic—close to everything, yet peaceful and tucked away with beautiful views. What stood out most was Kelly’s attention to detail and genuine hospitality. It truly felt like staying at a home away from home. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would absolutely love to come back. We loved the house! We liked that the kids had their own space upstairs to play games and hangout while we were on the main floor. The host was very responsive and proactive in communicating with us during our stay.

I don’t leave very many reviews but this place was absolutely amazing. The remodel done on this home, the decor and time put in to making this place everything you need was spot on. So much thought and care was put in to every detail. Kelly was an excellent communicator although we had no problems but just some questions. You can’t pass this place up, it better than 5 stars….we will be back again!
