Silver Dunes East — Guest Reviews

Our family has been coming to the Gulf Shores area for over 25 years. We chose a beach house this year to have more room and not so crowded beaches. The property managers were wonderful to work with and very attentive. The house needs a deep cleaning. You could not see out of the front windows and the bunk beds in the guest bedroom need replacing.

We have stayed in Gulf Shores several times in the past, but wanted something a little more secluded for this trip. We booked on extreme short notice (booked Wednesday, arrived Thursday) and received excellent communication from the property managers. The place was a good size for our party of 6 adults and one infant. Everything is well appointed and supplied from the bedrooms to the kitchen, bathrooms and laundry. The views from the balconies are amazing and the nearly private beach is just a few steps from the back of the house. We really enjoyed our short stay and look forward to returning soon for a longer visit.

The Property was beautiful. Right on the beach. We walked out the back steps directly onto the beach. The large windows overlooking the water were such a plus to see the water at all times. Gail, the Property Manager checked in on us periodically and was exceptional to work with. If we had needed anything, she was readily available. We had a family of 4 adults and 3 children and it was perfect. We will definitely book again.

Silver Dunes East is a fantastic rental. The home’s location is perfect for easy access to the beach yet still close enough to restaurants and shopping. The home’s location is well decorated with ample seating for large groups. The beds were comfortable and ample linens were on hand. During our stay the West unit was also being occupied and we never heard a peep from the other renters so the duplex appears to have ample insulation and sound proofing. Overall a wonderful well stocked rental in a perfect location.

Clean and very comfortable place to relax just steps from the water!! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone. We will be back (when it's a little warmer :-))

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was right on the beach. It was great to wake up every day just looking out at the waters. The house was perfect for us. The owners stayed in contact during the stay and were very friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Or beach vacation was great. this was our 3rd time to stay at Silver dunes east. we always enjoy our stay. we enjoy the peace of the surf. and not having to deal with the crowds. Cheri the property manager made sure we were happy with everything.

Instructions were very simple, the [property was easy to find and the door opened first time. That does not always happen. It was clean, well kept and well well eqquipped.

We've been visiting Gulf Shores for about twenty years now, from before I was married until now with my husband and three kiddos. We love Fort Morgan, Gulf Shores, and Dauphin Island! The area of Morgan Town affords you with the best of both worlds, beach and pool. This particular home didn't disappoint, the kitchen was stocked well, spacious family room, perfect bedroom/bathroom setting and nice sized patios to sit underneath for a break from the sun. We loved our stay at the house and look forward to visiting again. Thank you to Coastal View for hosting our crew! We will be booking again with you guys!

This was our second time to stay at this house. The location can’t be beat! The house is also the perfect size for families. The kids love the bunk room! We did have the hiccup of the smoke detector chirping. It may be helpful for those battery replacements to be incorporated with an annual or biannual PM program.

The house exceeded expectations. Kitchen had everything we needed. Beach was very clean. I wish there was a gas grill to use instead of the charcoal since it is easier to feed a crowd, but that is my only complaint. Highly recommend.

Our family of 11 ranging in age from 18 months to 90 yrs of age enjoyed out stay at Silver Dunes East. The closeness to the beach was a definite plus. The house is very comfortable and tastefully arranged. we had plenty of room to spread out. One suggestion: It would be nice if the outdoor faucet had a garden hose with a wand for rinsing the sand off after a day at the beach! Thanks for a great house in a fabulous location!

Excellent beach experience over Thanksgiving, we were worried there wouldn’t be enough cooking pans etc. There were more than enough. Can’t beat being right on the beach. There are plenty of restaurants now down Ft Morgan road, Morgantown is around mile marker 7 and once you get there you don’t have to go back to the Gulf Shore crowds unless you want to. Property management sent me texts every day to see if we needed anything, we never did.

We had a very nice beach vacation at Silver Dunes. The location is great if you are looking for a quiet and peaceful stretch of beach, although it's about a 20 minute drive to Gulf Shores. The house worked well for our large family. There were a few minor maintenance issues that I mentioned to management, and they were very quick to respond to me. The only disappointment was the lack of an outdoor shower, which was mentioned in the listing. There was only a hose located well away from the steps going up to the deck. We also found a few fish hooks lying around on the deck; fortunately we found them before anyone stepped on them. The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was supplied with everything we needed. I appreciated that management took the trash to the road on the designated days so I didn't have to worry about that.

Very comfortable stay at a nice beach home. Enjoyed the easy access to the beach this home provides. Huge kitchen and living areas to accommodate larger families. Would definitely stay again! Only 20 mins away from all the stores you would need to get supplies from, but nice and remote away from large crowds like other beaches. Only issue we had was biting flies on the beach, but heard from others at different beaches at the same time they had the same issue so not sure what the issue was there.

We really enjoyed our stay this year! We love being right on the beach! This is the perfect spot for our family! We stayed in Silver Dunes West in 2022, and that is why we returned for 2023! I hope to rent again in 2024!

Overall cleanliness, plenty of space for 11 or more, amazing views.

We loved the home, right on the beach, in a lovely neighborhood. The location is great, away from all the hub-hub of Gulf Shores, but close enough to enjoy all that Gulf Shores has to offer. It was perfectly clean and had all that we needed for a great vacation. We met the house manager and she was wonderful!

We had a nice family getaway a few days before Christmas. The beaches were beautiful and as devoid of people as one could hope for. The weather was unseasonably cool, but still very enjoyable. The house itself was very nice. I have no doubt that you would enjoy a stay here as well.

Our vacation rental was great time to relax.the rental was in good shape, clean and well stocked, with sheets, towels and kitchen untensils.

We loved the house and the location directly on the beach was exactly what we were looking for in our beach vacation. I would highly recommend this home for any family and we look forward to returning for another family vacation in the years to come.
