We really loved the property, it was as pretty as the photos, very peaceful and a welcome and relaxing break for our family. We had every item for cooking you could imagine, the beds were extremely comfortable and there were even extra towels for our little dog! Livingston Manor was a friendly town and the Main St has attractive shops for a lovely mooch. We would highly recommend the Kaatskeller for a delicious Pizza, Main Street Farm for coffee & the Robin Hood Diner for a tasty breakfast and wonderful service. Our only negative experience was the lake access for the property where we were negatively received, however we found plenty to entertain us at Lake Superior State Park!
We were shocked to arrive and have no central ac. It was 89 degrees in the house. It is a nice house but for over $400/night, to not have central air and pretend to be surprised when I asked about it. Was really a challenge for our family vacation. They. Brought fans but barely a compensation. In general, the house is nice but it’s not private really, it’s not walking distance from lake and road to lake is very hard to drive, towels were ripped up, pots in kitchen cabinet were dirty. Just not a great feeling to have chosen it for our family vacation.
Had an incredible 4-night stay at this charming home. Perfect for a family getaway to Catskills and the lake access is an added bonus. The property is situated less than a 5-minute drive to Main Street in Livingston Manor and about a 15-minute walk to Shandalee Lake. We didn’t want to leave and we will be back!
Absolutely beautiful house, very comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped. Lots of space for 6 people to hang out together but also find privacy when needed. We loved the fire pit and hot tub. Our friends with pets appreciated that it not only allowed dogs but actually welcomed them, with dog bowls and even towels for them. We would definitely book again!
Our group had a lovely stay at this house. The kitchen was well equipped, the spaces and hot tub were clean, and the beds comfortable. The house is a close drive to the town for supplies like groceries, as well as nearby hikes and other outdoor activities. Hosts were responsive and accommodating! We’d come again. Not a pro or con, but an fyi for future renters, is that the home is in a neighborhood with neighbors close by on one side of the home and across the street.
An absolutely beautiful and perfectly decorated home. So cozy and fun and perfect for a weekend getaway from the city. The hosts were so kind and communicative too, even leaving out dog bowls and towels :) wish I owned this place!
We enjoyed our stay! The home was cozy and well stocked with the basics. The hot tub and fire pit were added bonuses. We very much enjoyed the location, as it is country but is also in close proximity to the downtown which had some great restaurants and shops. We look forward to another visit.

Someone with a designer's eye pulled this place together. It has modern amenities and comfortable, midcentury-modern decor inside the box of a charming pre-war home. Very cool. By day it's a sunny space; at night you can turn on the fireplace inside or make a fire in the firepit outside (it’s right off the side deck). The place was spotlessly clean and we loved the king bed in the master bedroom. The hip little town--Livingston Manor, with its markets, brewpubs and restaurants--is a five-minute drive away. Perfect fall getaway! We'll be back.
Very well appointed home with plenty of room and all one needs for a peaceful stay. The hot tub was a treat!
