Secluded Hot Tub Retreat on 14 Acres Near Beaches — Guest Reviews

We received a text from cascade getaway prior to arrival for heat pump problems, and that they have a repair crew scheduled for Tuesday A.M. We arrived to a cold house, they had space heaters in the house, management did come out to the house with a couple more portable space heaters. Also the washer didn’t work the entire time, a repair tech came out on Tuesday as well, and diagnosed the problem as a couple of failed capacitors, which were not available till the day we checked out. The washer repair tech said that the washer had been having problems recently. Everything else worked well and it was very private and relaxing. All in all it was a great place to stay, very beautiful property with plenty of room for our pet to run and play on the lot. It was worth our time to stay for the week. It is disappointing that certain amenities weren’t working for part and all of the trip. I do hope for the future stay, that everything works properly next time.

Very peaceful. Brought our Australian Shepherd who loved exploring the property. We took advantage of the acreage and the hot tub. We had coffee and late night snacks outside under the stars. The patio furniture could use some cushions.

Enjoyed our stay. The home was very clean and cozy. Loved that it is dog friendly and our dogs were able to come along. It was great to explore nearby towns, cook and relax in the hot tub. We were a little disappointed that we were unable to utilize the fire pit due to there being a burn ban. I recommend looking at that before booking. Also, the bathtubs are very deep and can be slippery, which could be a challenge for someone with mobility limitations.

Unbelievable views, new, clean interior and plenty of space. We had a wonderful Labor Day weekend at this property. It’s as beautiful as the photos show and only a 15 minute drive to Restaurants and stores. Will definitely stay again. Our dog loved the yard too!

Oasis is an apt description While technically not in Nehalem, this property is everything else the listing says it is. It was so nice to be out of town and away from the drove of tourist traffic. The house is clean, well-decorated, and the furniture was comfy. Communication was quick, clear and friendly. Our dog loved being able to roam, as well. We would recommend this spot to anyone who wants a quiet, secluded vacation.

We stayed here with our sweet senior pup as we prepare to say goodbye to him. The home and outdoor space was the exact peaceful quiet retreat we needed for our last trip as a family. The kitchen was well appointed and the hot tub was great. The beds was a little creaky and I fussy about pillows, but it was just fine for a couple nights. We'll definitely be back again.

Great deal great location. Fifteen minute drive to Manzanita and the beach there is amazing. In beautiful Nehalem valley. I had not idea how beautiful it was there and how much better the weather is off of the ocean. Also great for dogs plenty of room for them to play. I highly recommend this property.

Nice retreat Nice property! Still close enough too plenty of sites but just far away enough from the mainstream tourist sites. Enjoyed the walk back into forest where little stream runs.

It’s the perfect “middle of nowhere” retreat nestled among the trees, quiet, and peaceful, yet not too far of a drive to the beaches. The home itself was cozy and modern, with all the comforts I needed to truly relax. Felt right at home. Waking up to the sounds of nature and being surrounded by greenery was such a refreshing change of pace. I’d definitely love to return!

We had a very peaceful stay and I’d highly recommend. Immaculate home with large tubs in both bathrooms. The stars were very vibrant, it was a real treat to be in the hot tub at night. I took the hammock out to the forest and enjoyed lounging to the sound of the creek. The little town is 10 min away and Canon Beach is just 20 min.

This home is awesome! Exactly as described and if you're into privacy and nature, this location is absolutely amazing. The direct access from the master bedroom to the hot tub was the icing on the cake.

We really enjoyed our stay here. If you're looking for quiet and peaceful, but also within easy driving distance to several coastal towns, this is a great place for you. We took advantage of the great fire pit and clean hot tub each night that we were there. I would recommend this place to anyone looking to get away from it all. The best part? Very limited cell service, which is exactly what I was looking for when trying to get my husband away from work for a few days! :)

My husband and I booked this place for a romantic anniversary getaway but ended up having to bring our 12 year old son and his 10 week old puppy. Cascadia was amazing with the last minute change and addition to our reservation and we ended up having a wonderful family vacation! The house was exactly as pictured and so private and peaceful. We would definitely stay here again!

We had an amazing trip at this Airbnb! One thing I’d highly recommend is to go crabbing at Kelly’s, if you’re a little adventurous. We were nervous but ended up having a great time. The Airbnb itself was exactly how it was described, super private and it was so nice having the hot tub.

We really enjoyed our stay at this private home. Everything was clean when we got there. It’s really close to Mazanita which we loved to visit. The hot tub was great to unwind in after a day of adventuring. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed. Check out instructions were clear and easy to follow. We definitely would stay here again and recommend it!

Our family loved our stay here! We appreciated the privacy, hot tub, the tucked away trail in the backyard and the cleanliness of the house. We highly recommend this home for a super peaceful getaway!

Our family had a lovely stay at this house in the woods. It was so nice to explore places like Cannon Beach during the day, but then come back to this serene and relaxing house. The house was clean and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well-stocked - lots of pots/pans, utensils, Tupperware, spices, coffee (was nice to have the Keurig machine). We loved the hot tub. Cell phone service is spotty, but the wifi worked great. Great communication from the property management company.

We look forward to next year Positive: This is our second year here for elk hunting season and we love it. Negative: It would help to have cover over front porch to help keep dirt out side from shoes and a bug zapper to keep them little pest from jumping option to enter the house.

Peaceful, clean, spacious, and conventionally located for fishing out of Wheeler. Really enjoyed the hot tub and fire pit.

Great value for close to the beach

Beautiful secluded home but tubs are tall and no fire pit We rented this home as a weekend get away from the chaos of working two jobs and finally having a weekend off. The home is beautiful and holds lots of charm. However we had one major complaint and one minor disappointment. The height of the tubs in both bathrooms makes it VERY difficult to navigate. Our daughter has a disability and getting in and out of this tub to shower was not something she could do. If you find it difficult to get in and out of a standard size tub I wouldn’t recommend this place. It was also disappointing to find the “fire pit” was not a useable space. It was a small area with a rock pile and so over grown with grass that a fire wasn’t possible. We had been looking forward to s’mores but weren’t able to on this trip.

This stay was excellent. It is secluded and on a beautiful property. Very private and well maintained.

Honestly the property itself is lovely — we’ve stayed there twice before a few years ago. But Cascadia Getaways took over in that time and they would not stop contacting me, via email, via phone, via text. The texts during our stay were perfectly appropriate, but all the others were attempts to sell more to us, from pushing additional services on us for that property to booking at other properties of theirs. I didn’t feel comfortable telling them to stop messaging before the trip for fear they wouldn’t be responsive during our trip. All around, it left an unfortunate bad taste in our mouths.

We really enjoyed our stay in Nehalem. The home is tucked away in a quiet, private area and feels very peaceful. Everything was clean, modern, and comfortable, and the Wi-Fi worked great. Very easy instructions, very clean and cozy! When the AC unit stopped working, the hosts were incredibly responsive and had it resolved the same day, which we truly appreciated. It’s clear they care about their guests’ experience. We’d happily stay here again and highly recommend it. ☺️

The Airbnb was beautiful and set in a lovely scenic location. It had all the necessities we needed for a comfortable stay, and there were plenty of fun activities nearby, making it a great place to relax and explore.

I couldn't have picked a worst week to take our first vacation in 6 years becouse of the historical rains and floods in Washington and oregon. Thankfully we found this place, even after the power went out for pushing 48 hrs. Hot tub was awesome, great kitchen, private secluded property with huge yard and a awesome setting. Amazing weekend We had an amazing time at this location. The owner was very nice and responded very fast. Had given us firewood and made sure we had everything we needed. Would immediately rebook in a heartbeat and can’t wait to come back!

Thoroughly enjoyed the private setting, especially the hot tub, the beautiful kitchen, and the well appointed rooms. Although it’s very private, there is great WiFi available at the home. Only about half an hour to Seaside, but rural enough you can see stars sitting in the hot tub.

We had a nice stay at this place. Very clean. Spacious, new.. as shown in pictures. We had an issue during the stay, the bathroom door got locked from inside by accident. Host was able to resolve it quickly even at 9pm. Really appreciated that. Please keep in mind that the location is quite remote, even by the standards of western Oregon coast. It was about a 25 minute drive to the nearby beaches.
