The area

This home is nestled between the thriving artistic enclave of Woodstock and the charming town of Saugerties, creating a captivating destination. Woodstock, a thriving artistic enclave, boasts a rich history of counterculture movements, eclectic art galleries, and craft shops. Cozy cafes and unique boutiques line its Main Street. Nearby, the Catskill Mountains offer hiking trails, and the Esopus Creek beckons kayakers and fishing enthusiasts.

Saugerties continues the enchantment with its Main Street, boutique shops, and cafes. Nature lovers can explore the serene Esopus Creek or venture into the Catskill Mountains. The Opus 40 Sculpture Park melds art and nature, and the Saugerties Lighthouse stands as a historic riverside landmark. Equestrian enthusiasts can enjoy HITS-on-the-Hudson's skillful horse shows.

Beyond, Rhinebeck boasts historic sites, while Kingston offers a vibrant arts scene. Both Saugerties and Woodstock nurture a creative spirit with annual festivals and cultural events. For a blend of natural beauty, cultural immersion, and tranquil reprieve, this Hudson Valley gem is unforgettable.

Rock 'n' House is about two hours from New York City, and you'll definitely want a car to get there and around the area. In the winter, we recommend a car with four-wheel drive that can handle the snow and gravel roads.

“This is the best AirBNB I have ever rented. I had a few friends up to celebrate me and my wife getting married. We had a lovely dinner and enjoyed the surroundings for the weekend. Every detail of this place is stunning and imaginative. Yes, they have a few rules and I wish they would have told us "no shoes on in the house" a little early so we could pack a little different - but once you see the interiors you will understand why they have rules. Check in is easy and they gave use some grace on check in / check out. It really was an incredible trip because of this house. Some people have mentioned that the hot water runs out but we had no issue. As for it getitng very hot - even in October we could tell this house warms up with the trappings of the sun's heat through the windows - but opening some of the windows really helped. We were rather cozy! Rent this house!!!”
