We loved staying here and would stay again! Walkable into town but quiet and serene. The best of both worlds. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed using the backyard with our child and dog! Everything you’d want when visiting Great Barrington.

Great place for a family walking distance to downtown great barrington but still quiet. Fenced in backyard is beautiful and nice for a dog.

We enjoyed a relaxing weekend in Great Barrington at this great house. We loved walking a few minutes into town for coffee from our choice of cafes and appreciated how many shops and restaurants we could access without needing to drive. The house was comfortable and clean and the kids loved playing in the big backyard while the snow was coming down - a quintessential Western MA experience!

This was my 3rd time staying at this AirBnB and I still love it. I'm from Great Barrington but there's not enough space at my parents' place for my family so we've been staying here. It's in the perfect location and has everything we need. Will definitely be coming back for our future visits!

My dog and i absolutely love the River House. We have stayed there on many occassions- from 2 nights to 3 months- and have come to think of it as "home". It is incredibly clean and well kept and free of clutter. It has everything you need and more. The Red Cottage folks are incredibly responsive (quick and helpful) and also proactive. I can't recommend this enough.

i have stayed at the River Cottage many times with my dog who loves the back yard. It is always spotless and feels like home to us. The hosts are incredibly commuicative and helpful. Love this hous and can't recommend it more .

We had a wonderful stay for the holiday. The Red Cottage was very clean and neat and had all the amenities needed for our stay. The location was perfect for a quick walk into town. Would absolutely recommend for any time of the year.

We stayed for multiple weeks and enjoyed the easy access to Main street and the quietness of the surroundings where the house is located. There were only two of us and the house worked really well for us. I suspect 4 would be ideal and 6 might feel a bit crowded if you plan to stay for more than a few days. The management company is the most responsive I have ever experienced in renting on either Airbnb or VRBO. They were excellent.

We truly enjoyed our stay! The house is exactly as described and as shown in the pictures. It is easy walking distance to all of the great restaurants/shops/spots in downtown Great Barrington, and was perfectly set up to accommodate our group. The host was very responsive and attentive to our needs. We would definitely stay again next time we're in the area!

This is an ideal location if you want to explore the lovely town of Great Barrington. House was very nice, had everything we needed and we parked when we arrived and didn't touch our cars until we left- completely walkable to all the great shops and restaurants in town. It was the perfect spot for a girls weekend!

We were looking for a little escape and found it at the Red Cottage. It was a perfect location - short walk to shops and restaurants and the Housatonic River Trail. Great Barrington is a lovely little town and centrally located for seeing the region. Great location for cycling. The cottage had plenty of room, fully equipped kitchen, plenty of linens and soaps, etc. Great wifi. We really enjoyed our stay.

A solid place to stay - clean and easy check in. The location to town was great. Overall, a good option if you’re looking for a straight forward, well-kept place.
