Location for sure!! Gorges St Park is literally next door! And Whitewater Falls only 8 miles!! We thoroughly enjoyed a relaxing evening in the hot tub after a full day hiking!! The back porch is huge and the mini balcony out master bedroom allows a last breath of fresh air before bed! Kitchen well equipped w all the basics and the master bedroom is very spacious. Guests have access to bed/bathrooms on all levels, a real plus! Kelly is very responsive and when we needed to reach out, she got right back to us quickly!
Super helpful host, she was very responsive and let us check in a bit early because we needed to get ready for an event. The place was very clean and the area was beautiful. The stairs are steeper in person and I didn’t realize there were 2 sets in the house so it made it hard with a toddling baby but everything else was great!
Kelly’s place was just what my family and I needed! A relaxing getaway in the mountains, the place was perfect! Beautiful views, and truly a place to unplug from the world. We loved every minute, it was conveniently located near a lot of waterfalls and parks to experience! Kelly was very responsive to any questions I had! 100% would recommend to anyone!
Kelly was very responsive. The Airbnb was clean and the amenities made it hard to leave! We especially loved the sauna and hot tub.
This place served our purposes. It was close to outdoorsy areas to hike, see waterfalls, etc. It is also close to several nice small towns (Cashiers, Highlands, Brevard). We had a couple minor issues that the host handled quickly. At the time of rental, the listing said it had a dishwasher, but it does not. The listing has now been corrected and the host discounted our stay for the misunderstanding. The place is also older than we expected from looking at the pictures. The pictures are very bright, but the place is a bit darker. It wasn't a problem, rather we were a little surprised when we walked in the door. All-in-all, we were happy with our stay.
We had a great stay! The location couldn’t have been better—being right next to Rainbow Falls made it incredibly easy to enjoy one of the area’s most beautiful attractions without a long drive. It was the perfect home base for exploring the Highlands/Cashiers area. One of our favorite parts of the trip was relaxing in the hot tub after a day of hiking. It was clean, well-maintained, and the perfect way to unwind in the evenings. I also want to give a special shoutout to Kelly. She was an exceptional host from start to finish. Her communication was prompt, friendly, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. She made the entire experience smooth and enjoyable and truly went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. We would highly recommend this Airbnb to anyone looking for a comfortable place with an outstanding host.
A beautiful escape to the woods. The Sauna was my favorite part of this house. Right beside Gorges State park and an amazing responsive host.
This Airbnb was perfect! From the moment we arrived, it felt like a true escape. Quiet, peaceful, and surrounded by woods, but still close to so many great attractions. Gorges state park is right around the corner. We did several amazing hikes. Rainbow Falls was easily one of the best parts of our trip. Coming back after a long hike and jumping into the hot tub was unbeatable. The barrel sauna was another huge bonus. We started basically every day with a quick sauna session. It felt like we had a personal spa at home. The house itself is set up really well for groups. Stocked with everything you could need. There are plenty of bedrooms and enough space for everyone to have their own area without ever feeling crowded. And the beds were EXTREMELY comfortable. We spent a lot of time out on the massive deck grilling, eating, and just hanging out. At night, roasting s’mores by the fire pit was the perfect way to end the day. Overall, an amazing stay we’d gladly come back to.
Wonderful cabin in the woods! Great sauna and hot tub. Highly recommend! 10/10*
Enjoyed our stay. The space was not new, but cozy and nice, and in overall good condition and we greatly appreciated being able to bring our dogs. I was slightly dismayed the sauna was not easily operated and we lost a day and a half of use awaiting instructions for how to get it to heat up. The owner or property manager was very communicative and attentive, but was not able to dig up instructions very quickly. In my opinion, instructions should be posted at the house or near the sauna itself. It was very simple to operate once you knew what the clicks meant and where to set the dial to hear up without delay. The hot tub was heavenly!
Pros: The outdoor space is the highlight. The hot tub view is beautiful, the fire pit was great for s’mores, and the cabin being dog-friendly was a big plus for our family. The grilling area was convenient, and communication was easy with clear instructions. Cons: Basic supplies were extremely limited for the price, only one roll of paper towels per floor, no extra trash bags, and just two rolls of toilet paper per bathroom. The kitchen had only one towel. Towels overall were minimal and small, with no hot tub towels. The coffee setup felt pieced together with random leftover items. One recliner broke and became unusable. The biggest concern was the AC window units. They were filthy with visible mold and heavy dust, and one had cardboard wrapped around it. With kids in the house, this was concerning. Repeated requests for five-star reviews don’t align with a stay that needs this much attention. The cabin has great potential but needs better upkeep and guest comfort to earn top ratings.
Unfortunately, this home is not listed as pictured or described. Immediately upon entering there was a smell of mold/mildew and general look of uncleanliness, as there were cobwebs in nearly every corner of every room. Every dish we pulled out of the cabinet was dirty, making the lack of a dishwasher all the more obvious. The owners were responsive to our contacts and sent a cleaner out to remove the mold on the window a/c unit. However, that did not resolve the issue, but it did make it a little less visually noticeable. Furthermore, there is a need for maintenance that a quick cleaning cannot solve. From the damaged armchair in the main living space, drywall patch in the basement, and exterior door with a patched hole where the doorknob sat previously, this place feels more like a party pad for college kids than a comfortable family getaway. There were knobs missing on several of the lamps and the propane fire table out on the porch, which I would’ve liked to use, but to be honest the exterior cameras made me feel uncomfortable because they were only placed on the back porch areas such as the hot tub and sauna rather than the driveway/main entrance. If this place were more affordable, I probably wouldn’t be writing this review. Not worth the money, the only plus side is the location is near some good food/hiking spots.
This property is very close to Gorges State Park, restaurants and other points of interest.
Thanks for hosting
Nice privacy, clean house, only downside is the road to the property and drive way are tight, big vehicles have difficulty turning around. Great experience though. Will certainly be back
We stayed here because my husband was going to a wedding at the Lake Toxaway resort/country club. We were 10 minutes from all the wedding activities and also 10 minutes from the major and popular waterfall hikes in the area. The location is also super private so you can enjoy the hot tub and sauna. We were there with my 8 yo and 1 yo and there was a ton of space for everyone to do their own thing. It was super clean so my 1 yo couldn't get into anything while crawling around. It is an older home without Central air, but there are heaters and air conditioners in each room. The air is a little stale because of this when you first walk in, but it was completely cleared by the first pot of coffee I made in the morning. The kitchen has the basics with some older cookware, but gets the job done. Overall we really enjoyed staying here. There is a ton of space and the beds are comfortable!
First thing we arrived the trash bins were flipped over with a trash bags in the driveway! They sent a link to confirm stay but it didn't work, the first thing they ask me to sign against any damage, they assumed I will damaged something right away!!! So angry!!! Plus Kelly is not the host but a real estate company or something. After playing with a Bear while as waiting for the info to get in finally got the code. The lock on the door wasn't working, I'm glad they had spare key to the door. House needs updates, sealing is falling down, old carpets, little smell of old place but not to bad. Outside was never cleaned before we arrived. Im not recommending this place.
