Relaxing vacation Positive: Very clean and welcoming. The bed is amazing and the temperature in the room was perfect throughout our stay. The area is 10/10. Great people living in the neighborhood, ice cream truck coming every now and then and amazing restaurants that are walking distance. (15-20min) The host is very helpful and quick to reply to our questions. I greatly recommend this as your vacation home. We will be back next year! Negative: -

My hosts were IMPECCABLE! Got locked out and sweet Jake saved me and got batteries to get me back in. I will definitely be staying here again soon. Seriously thinking of renting this room on a monthly basis. You made our weekend of love a memorable one!

I had a bittersweet stay at this place. The room itself was clean, comfortable, and in a good location, so I really wanted to enjoy my time there. Unfortunately, the internet situation made that almost impossible. From the day I arrived, the Wi-Fi barely worked in my room (1B). I repeatedly raised the issue, but for the entire two weeks I stayed, nothing was actually done to fix it. Each time I reached out, I was told that “the team was working on it,” but no one ever came to check anything and the problem never improved. As someone who needs stable internet for work, this was incredibly frustrating and affected my stay a lot more than it should have. It’s disappointing because the place has potential, but the lack of action and follow-through from the host really overshadowed the positives. If reliable Wi-Fi is important to you, I’d think twice before booking.

Carol was an amazing host! The washroom was really clean and room was decorated well but was a bit small. Perfect for backpack travellers. For the location I would say it is a bit far from downtown and York University. Best if you are driving as community via transit might take time. A great park to walk and run just beside the house.

Calm getaway Positive: The place is in a nice and calm area not too far from downtown and other point of interests with public transit. The host was very communicative and helpful to make us enjoy our experience fully. Negative: There wasn't any bad element. I could nitpick about the lack of kitchen as my friend and I were considering cooking but I believe it was already mentioned so no big deal there.

Could've be better. Positive: Welcome arrival at the place, room clean and tidy, free water( 2 bottle 330ml) and coffee (3 cups for machine in the room) Host that live in the basement, really kind and funny Negative: Sharing Bathroom not clear in the Hotel info. 1 bathroom for +4 people. Toilet paper run out every day and not much supervision. Location, 12-15 min walking from buses or street trains. Almost 40min from the center. Stayed 1 week and wasn't a cleaning service for the room. Not acceptable for a long stay. No kitchen or any equipment to warm up or storage food.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience here. After Caroline refused to extend my stay, she entered my room twice and removed my personal belongings, placing them outside on the road. Regardless of the circumstances, handling a guest’s belongings this way is completely unacceptable and deeply disrespectful. What makes the situation worse is that I was allegedly told that someone else had already booked the room after my request to extend was refused. As a guest and a foreigner, I should not have to wonder whether I’m being treated differently simply because I’m not from here. Imagine being lied to and then having your belongings removed and left on the road. This is not how a professional hospitality business should operate. If a reservation or extension cannot be accommodated, communicate honestly and respectfully—do not touch or remove a guest’s personal property. I personally would not recommend this accommodation to other travelers, especially anyone planning a longer stay

Caroline’s Airbnb room is cool, comfortable, and suitable for a short stay. However, for someone intending to stay longer, the main improvements would be having a dedicated kitchen and a private fridge. Other than that, the room is a nice place to stay.

Great people, great space.

Positive: The neighborhood is good, good accommodation for the price. Prompt response. Negative: The central AC was poor or nonexistent, was informed there was a fan in the room, couldn't find one. One of the mugs had coffee remnants from last use. Cobwebs on the ceiling. This is my personal opinion as it affected my stay, a little refrigerator and microwave would help make stay enjoyable, had to waste food, order everytime I want to eat or go out to eat, those two amenities would've helped.

Carolynna and Uju were such a gracious hosts! Everything from the check in, help with directions, and anything else, they were super responsive and helpful! The place was perfect for my short stay, comfortable and calm. Everything was simple and easy, the walk to main strip to shop/food was about 12 mins, quick and easy. I would definitely recommend this place to anybody looking to stay in the Toronto area.

Highly disappointed, no value for money Positive: All I liked is the one staff who at least provided coffee material on our request Negative: I was lacking the reception facility and some administrative reforms strictly and badly needed. In-person human beings must be there for customer satisfaction. The check-in process was very much time taking and irritating. It killed more than 30 mins. No water, no staff, no room service. We had to call and request for some basic things. No housekeeping or room cleaning during our stay for 5 days , which was very much frustrating.

Poorly managed property, false advertising - Disappointing accommodations & NO PARKING Positive: Easy entry to building & room with code Negative: We did NOT get the room we booked & paid for! Ended up stuck with a bedroom and a very much shared bathroom waaay down the hall. Despite confirming a spot in advance, there was NO PARKING. The listing for this place on Booking.com is unclear at best, details provided are inaccurate & misleading. Our host had no explanation for the mix-up & offered to cancel when we obviously had no where else to stay? The only advice for parking was to look at surrounding areas & check street signs. It would have been very helpful to know that a parking permit is actually required in most of that area! The $70 reimbursement for all this inconvenience was inadequate (especially at $45 goes to pay the parking ticket we got!!)

It’s a clean space and it has a good location. The only downside is that it didn’t have a refrigerator.

Absolutely amazing stay — 10/10 experience from start to finish! The Airbnb was spotless, cozy, and looked even better in person. The host was incredibly kind, responsive, and made everything super easy. The location was perfect and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. You can really tell a lot of care goes into this place. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area!

Unfortunately, cannot recommend Negative: Bed bug and bites within just a couple hours of being there, and in general, not a clean facility. Took me an entire day at the laundromat to clean my stuff. The instructions to get into the room were confusing after a long day of travel, ie, “enter the code and then hit the arrow button” when there wasn’t an arrow button. Should have read “enter code and then press large button at the bottom.” Guests shouldn’t have to intuit these things. The hallway lights kept getting turned off and I couldn’t see anything, or where to turn the lights on. The shared bathroom was not very clean. The only positive thing I can say is that woman who helped me did her best to accommodate.

Carolynna was amazing. She was easy to communicate with and had all the answers to my questions. The place was perfect for my husband and I. It was clean and spacious. Perfectly located and will be back here!

Negative: I stayed at this property for six nights. For almost three days, the heating system was not working, and there was no one available to provide assistance

Voor een kort verblijf prima Positive: De kamer was heel fijn, net als de wijk (heel rustig). Behulpzame mensen ook. Negative: Naast mijn kamer in het pand was de salon van de nagelstyliste waardoor het 6 dagen per week behoorlijk luidruchtig was als ze met klanten bezig was. En dat in zo'n rustige wijk, beetje jammer wel. Daarnaast mogen ze de check in instructies wel eens updaten of wat verduidelijken.

The place was supposed to be private, but the bathroom was shared with others. Negative: The bathroom was not private.

Bardzo polecam Positive: Pokój bardzo przytulny, czysty, łóżko wygodne, dobrze działające wifi, niestety lampka przy łóżku nie działała. Okolica bardzo spokojna, osiedle domków. Znajduje się około 10 minut pieszo od tramwaju.

Duplicitous Positive: Property itself is okay. Negative: Main page of this property advertises this as an “entire apartment”. It is not. The bathroom is detached and shared with other tenants. Only when you click into the minute details of this listing does it say shared bathroom. So if that’s the case, it shouldn’t be listed as entire apartment. As that is not what we wanted since we were under the impression of it being an entire apartment, since it did say that in multiple pages of the listing, we asked for a refund/cancelation so that we could find a room elsewhere that we were more comfortable with. Not the end of the world, completely aware that this is a borderline Karen/1st world problem, but within the relative scope of the situation it’s just about the principle of a duplicitous listing. Was on the phone for hours, on my weekend getaway, with both the property management and Booking.com itself. The property management essentially told me too bad because it was listed in the hidden details, and even Booking.com customer service did all they could to offer a refund by telling the property they wouldn’t charge them their usual fee as well. This still wouldn’t budge the property management. If a property is that desperate for $150 with an apparent pending doom of a review regardless, stay away.

Check-in was smooth thanks to the clear and detailed instructions provided. The place itself was spotless—very clean and well-maintained, which made the stay comfortable and enjoyable. The only downside was that Carol was quite slow in responding to messages, which caused a bit of inconvenience at times. However, overall, it was a good experience and I’d consider staying again.

Positive: Clean and good sized bedroom, even the shared bathroom was cleaned daily and had all the proper bathing amenities. Good location, especially if you want to be in the inner city area. Negative: Our room was right next to the entrance door, people coming in and out at all hours, some even 3-4 am. Slamming the door and heavy footsteps and people talking in the hallway. Couldn't really open the window because people would be talking/smoking outside so the room itself got really hot and stuffy. No kitchen/fridge/microwave access so if you're staying here you're gonna have to eat out a lot.

Had no issues with with the place apart from the walls being thin and hearing every movement in the hallways. I appreciate being hosted last minute but communication was a pain. I had requested a different booking in the same building. Carol asked me to give her some time to respond and didn’t hear back from her after almost 10 hours. Had me wondering maybe I am not fit to stay in a loft but worthy of staying in a shared space. I requested to book this space and surprisingly approved within minutes. I assumed that was just because she had a cohost on the listing. Made no sense why I’d get a response for this listing and waited almost 10 hours for a response to my first request. When requesting to stay an extra day I was told it was not available but it showed otherwise on the app. Those are things to consider when booking this place. I’d book it again if communication was better. Place is near few restaurants and bars about a 5 min drive.

This was my first experience booking through Airbnb. Everything went well. The room was clean and bright. There was a coffee maker in the room, a large TV. We were also provided with towels. Quiet area. A good option to stay for a couple of days.

Comfortable accommodation, ticks every box Positive: Really cozy and comfortable accommodation in a typical Toronto neighbourhood. Located very near main transit lines (buses & street cars) that made travelling around easy and convenient. The accommodation and shared toilet were clean, the bed was comfortable, and there was even a small coffeemaker with pods in the room. Internet speed was good. Negative: Nothing

The BnB has cameras inside and outside and i was not aware of it also is very creepy and not allowed!! The room was clean when I checked in. Fairly easy to understand how to check in and where to go. The host is responsive. The neighbourhood is not the best in Toronto but is not too bad. too pricey for the area and what the BnB offers.

Wonderful place to stay. Having been through a few airbnbs since arriving this was a breath of fresh air. Great hosts. Great Room and would 100% recommend this room to someone in the future. Will be revisiting again.
