The location was beautiful. Easy to get to the local spots. There were bugs in the house and it wasn’t fully cleaned, we were asked to take the trash bins out that were full. Some noise for being so close to the road. The water tasted like contaminated metal. There were some miscommunication where we never heard back about early check in and we never found the pack n play.

One of the best of most beautiful properties I’ve ever rented the host was amazing proactively tracking on us making sure there is nothing we needed. 10 out of 10

Absolutely stunning location & beautiful home! Surrounded by water with bird life, boats and salt marsh - we loved the views, the sound of the water and the house (gorgeous, comfortable and clean!) Keen to return in the warmer months to take advantage of the dock and kayaks.

This home is beautifully decorated and made to make you feel like you’re right at home! The deck was perfect to lounge in the evenings with a glass of wine, and the kids loved the little bridge near the shallow water. Host communicated very well and made sure that they provided an excellent stay. 100% would recommend, just based on her communication! Thank you again!

Our stay was lovely! The house was very clean, and the view was absolutely priceless. We had so much fun using the kayaks and even got to see several birds, crabs, and a seal! The area was quiet, peaceful, and incredibly relaxing. The house had everything we could possibly need and was decorated beautifully. We loved the large table for game nights and the deck for relaxing outside and enjoying the view. One of my favorite touches was the old wooden bridge leading down to the beach area. The house had a great mix of modern comforts while still keeping those charming, quirky outdoor touches that gave it so much character. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

We really enjoyed our stay! The house was adorable, and we especially loved the back deck and having the kayaks available—it made the stay extra special. The home has so much charm and potential, and we would have loved to give it 5 stars. Our main concern was the downstairs bathroom and laundry area had a strong, unclean odor, so we kept the doors in this area closed to help contain it. Overall, we had a nice stay and truly appreciated the charm, communication, and amenities. With some extra attention to cleaning, this could easily be a 5-star experience!

We had a large group for a family gathering over Labor Day weekend. The house is exactly as pictured and described. It is a gorgeous home & the furnishings were very comfortable. Our family used the kayaks and paddleboards every day. There is a lot to explore on the water, especially with a lower tide. We easily took day trips to both downtown Gloucester & Rockport, and it was heaven coming back "home" to relax. The hosts were very responsive, which was a huge added bonus. This was definitely our most favorite family get together!

if you are looking for a VERY special place…this is it. the history of this building is so rich. it was Anna Hyatt Huntington’s art studio. look her up! this detail didn’t become apparent to me until i found the plaque on the wall. i was already in love with this airbnb because of its location, but the history bit was the cherry on top. this airbnb couldn’t have been better for my husband and i. we took advantage of the paddle boards everyday. pure heaven!!

Our family of 4 (Husband, wife, 19, and 16) had the BEST week at Kylie's beautiful Gloucester home. We took FULL advantage of the kayaks, back deck, view, fully-stocked kitchen, grill, and all the nooks and crannies to relax both inside and outside the home. Each of our daughters had friends come and go throughout the week....the house comfortably accommodated the extra guests. This is our 4th house that we've rented in the Gloucester/Rockport area and this one might be our favorite....we couldn't get over the views and loved to watch a specific crane and a specific cormorant (that seemed to love riding the strong tides of the Annisquam River. The one bit of feedback that I shared with the homeowner is that the house is on a blind curve. Although the speed limit is only 20 mph in each direction, folks seem to fly around the corner. You need to roll down your window and listen for cars. A helpful addition would be a mirror to see if cars are coming which Kylie appreciated.

This home did not disappoint us. Our summer vacation was a hit with our grandchildren. The location is awesome. Having access to the Kayaks and Paddle Boards made the adventure across the water way to the beach was so fun. We made a lot of great memories.

Very old home, nicely restored. Comfortable beds, very cute and fitting decor. The kitchen was disappointing- small won’t expect to cook for a larger family, the kitchen was dirty. I would not describe it as fully stocked. There are plates and some pots and pans and small appliances. The rest is odds and ends left from prior guests. The back patio overlooking the bay is very peaceful!!!

Kylie’s home far exceeded my expectations. The location is perfect. Just minutes from town while still feeling private and secluded. The house was comfortable, spotless, and had everything we needed. I would highly recommend it for any group looking to stay in the area.

Amazing stay! Our family of 5 had so much fun! My daughter brought her 7 month old baby and the house had everything we needed a pack and play crib and a high chair. We loved to sit on the deck and enjoy the weather and the view. Absolutely would stay again!

Although it rained and we were stuck inside for most of our trip, the welcoming interior of the home made us feel like we never missed out on anything.

The Home was laid out It’s lots of space to spread out for a family of 12. It did get a little hot and I would recommend the air conditioners to be installed. Opening all of the windows with a couple of fans was beautiful however, you do have the noise coming from the traffic outside. Having said that it is still magical peaceful location. Everyone had a great time and I would love to book their location again in the future. Best regards.

Superb location on the water with beautiful views from most of the rooms and all the living areas. Plus lovely sun deck. Slightly tricky entrance / exit, off the road but not a major hurdle. The house is airy, bright, clean, modern and a great place to relax. If sharing with friends, be aware that there are 3 private bedrooms, though plenty more bedding is available with sofa beds. We didn’t use the kayaks but at low tides there is a short but great bit of white water immediately by the house. Would certainly recommend for another holiday.

Our stay at Oceanfront Dock Escape in Gloucester was everything we hoped for. It was conveniently located, clean and spacious!

The house was gorgeous and the view was absolutely beautiful. Spacious living area and beds were very comfortable. It made our annual girls trip quite nice and would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing time. Close to Gloucester center and grocery store.

We had a GREAT stay at Kylie's home. The location is simply beautiful. The home is comfortable and cozy. There was plenty of room for our family of 5 to spread out and enjoy their own space. You could spend the day looking out the large windows and enjoying the water views!

One of the most comfortable homes we have stayed in. The location felt private and remote despite being close to all the activities. The location on the water was stunning. The house was spacious with three common areas, so we could spread out when we needed to and come together in the kitchen area or on the deck for meals and games. Our visit was in winter, so we did not go in the water. We did sit on the deck during daylight hours and even being near the street, it was like vacationing on our own island.

This place is wonderful. It was spotless and had all the necessary items to make it feel like home. The kayaks (even in November) were available and we took them out one afternoon. So lovely. We were a group of 7 and all adults. The place was plenty big. Only piece that was a bit difficult was choosing bedrooms. There is one main bedroom with a king bed and the other bedrooms have smaller beds. The kitchen was well stocked and had all the items needed to make a fully Thanksgiving meal. Would definitely stay here again.

The hosts were great throughout the whole process and communication was excellent! We booked the house for 12 people, but unfortunately the beds that were meant to be double or extremely small and we had to have people sleep on the couch. Although the house is booked for 12 people. There were only four coffee mugs, which made it difficult for the mornings. The home is beautiful and the location was amazing! The most unfortunate thing is that when we arrived, it looks like the cleaners had not come, but the host tried their best to accommodate, but we had to clean and changed our own bedsheets. We appreciate their care for us in returning the cleaning fee.

Beautiful place

This place is one of the nicest, chilled places ive ever stayed. every room was cosy, every view was amazing. Elliot and Kylie was there when I needed anything and I cannot wait to come back. beautiful beautiful home. I felt so zen and at home, none of the 8 of us wanted to leave. Bbq outside, beautiful seating are, paddleboard and kayaks and waking up on the water every morning was stunning. short drive into town and shops not far either. beautiful walks around the area also. we had enough towels, washing equipment, throws, everything we needed and more. Just wish we had more time beautiful I would love to stay again. Thank you so much

The good: BEAUTIFUL home, amazing sunsets every night, comfortable beds. Very clean except a couple comments below. The bad: the front door code didn’t work, so we kept the house unlocked when we left. Management offered to come out but we declined. The code to the shed to access the kayaks didn’t work. It took about 45 minutes to resolve, but by that time we had to leave for an excursion. The towels were mildewy so we washed them. There was mold growing in the washer door from people closing the washer door while still wet. Also beware there is a Nespresso Vertuo, which takes very specific pods, and the ones in the pantry don’t fit it, so you will be running to Shaw’s to pick some up first thing in the am. At this price point and with such a niche coffee machine, I’d suggest they provide pods. They do also have a drip machine. It looks like a negative review but we would absolutely stay here again. Can’t overstate how beautiful the house is.

This place was absolutely perfect for our large group. Beautiful, clean, and the location on the water was magical. Our only regret is that it took two days to access the kayaks and paddle boats, as the initial instructions were incorrect. It was a big missed opportunity. Otherwise, the place is as beautiful and clean as the pictures, and we highly recommend it.

This is our fifth rental in 6 years on the Annisquam and we loved the location across from Wingaersheek Beach, the spectacular views from the house and the outside deck and the included 4 kayaks and 2 SUP boards. It’s a very fun decorated house inside with comfy spots to sit and look out the picture windows. And we cooked all our meals during the week and found everything we needed in the kitchen. We spent almost all our time on the deck which also has comfortable seating and a big umbrella when the sun gets too intense or on the water. Couldn’t have had a nicer week of vacation!

The house was spotless clean and cheerful. Kayaks were great hits. However, we had a fire alarm blared out the first night of our stay that woke all of us very early in the morning. Even though we complained, no one showed up. The main bedroom smoke alarm light was still red when we left. Getting in and out of the driveway were difficult. Especially when getting out, the hedges were blocking the view. Putting a sign outside for a hidden drive or a mirror would be helpful. The boat launching ramp had many nails that were loose.

What a great stay. The house is fantastic and has a lot of amenities for activities.

This house is amazing. I was concerned about traffic noise, but the river is really the only thing you hear because the house literally hangs over the water. The place was immaculate and beautifully furnished. The Kayaks and paddle boards are a great addition. Elliot and Kylie responded to any question with minutes. A great family vacation spot.

The home was absolutely stunning. 10/10! Even though there is no A/C the cross breeze is very refreshing with the windows open and there are window A/C units in the bedroom that work VERY well! I actually got a little chilly at night. The house was very well stocked, the beds were extremely comfortable and the views were amazing. In my opinion, the best part was having access to the kayaks and paddle board. We felt right at home and didn’t want to leave.

Wonderful and plan to come back! What a great location and having paddle boards and kayaks ready to go made our trip out in the water so easy. We also saw wildlife on the property. A bunny and a fawn.

Amazing hosts, amazing house! We would absolutely stay here again. Location was fantastic, quiet and private but very closer to beaches and restaurants. Kitchen was VERY well appointed and the furniture was nice and comfortable — it really felt like a home. Lots of places to sleep and the mattresses were VERY comfortable. Just the perfect house to enjoy some quiet time on the water. You should go too!!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The location was amazing right on the water with beautiful views in a peaceful neighborhood. The drive into Gloucester and Rockport was close and easy, making it fun to explore the surrounding areas. We loved having the kayaks and paddle boards to access the beach across the bay to avoid expensive beach parking. We also appreciated the space for seating in the living area and the deck where our family could easily gather together. Elliott and Kylie were great about responding in a timely manner when we had to reach out about a couple of things. We highly recommend this lovely home!

We were looking for a quick local getaway over the holiday weekend and stumbled upon Elliot and Kylie’s listing. At first, we hesitated to book—it looked almost too good in the photos! But the home was exactly as pictured—spacious, beautifully designed, and perfect for spending time together while still having peaceful areas to retreat to. The location is super convenient, with great restaurants and shopping nearby, plus easy access to beaches and hiking trails if you're looking for outdoor adventures. We’re already hoping to make this one of our go-to spots when we need to recharge. Thanks for such a wonderful stay!

Wonderful experience & a beautiful property

When my teenagers are happy, I am happy. ☺️ This was an amazing getaway for us that we will all cherish. The house was perfect. Everyone had their own space, but also space to gather and be together. The kids made use of the kayaks and had a blast exploring the waters. Not much for fishing, but that is probably our own lack of knowledge of saltwater versus fresh water this time of year. We would definitely stay here again.
