Flawless check-in. All amenities promised. Just steps from the beach with gorgeous sunrise and sunsets viewed from the balcony. This was our second visit to the Grand Caribbean and recommend for family vacations. Hosts provided all that was needed for a leisurely stay at the beach. We’ll be back

The condo was great. Only thing I was expecting more of an ocean and beach view.

We had a lot of fun on Labor Day weekend, Beach it's minutes away, you don't have to drive at all, pool was perfect After a long day at the beach Beautiful place, very clean. Had everything we needed.

This is a great place to stay! Easy to get to, lots of space, and very clean. This was the perfect location for our family! It was the perfect size for our part and we still had plenty of room! It never felt like we were all on top of each other. We loved the decor and our view was pretty great! My grandson loved the “reading nook” and thought it was his own private getaway. The pool was easy to get to, and a great way to cool down after spending the day at the beach. The boardwalk is easily acceptable to the beach which was great considering we had a four month old with us. We are already planning our trip next year and intend to stay here again! Great place! Highly recommend!

This was our third stay and was just as great as before. We will definitely be back. Great for kids and families or even a get away with friends.

Great clean comfortable stay, need more clarity around additional fees. Positive: Everything was exceptional for the price point. Clean and recently remodeled. Decorations and amenities were great. Negative: There was an undisclosed $60 fee collected outside of booking.com. This should’ve been disclosed.

What a great property. Worked nicely for a trip with our adult children, but this would be a friendly spot for those with children too. The extra touches and helpful notes around the unit made us feel at home right away. The property also has a great boardwalk to the beach. Highly recommend.

I loved the place my kids were entertained with the toys they had. One thing that my husband said to mention was that the tv in the master doesn’t have volume is only in captions, and with the World Cup going on he needed the volume. But everything else was perfect thank you so much!

Stayed here for 6 nights in June with my family- 5 adults, 2 toddlers, and a 7 year old. It was perfect! We have stayed at The Grand Caribbean before, but not this particular unit. The unit was immaculate and remodeled to be up to date and beautiful. The kitchen had just about everything we needed- all the cookware, even a crock pot. Only thing I could have used was a dish drying rack. Lots of beach gear available (chairs, toys). There were puzzles and kids toys as well. Small samples of conditioner/shampoo/body wash/lotion were provided (bar of hand and face soap also), but definitely not enough for a week so I’m glad we brought our own. We also brought extra dish cloths/towels, and bath towels/cloths, which are a must. There is washer and dryer in the unit. The condo had a beautiful ocean view and the private boardwalk is great. We enjoyed the pool a lot with the kiddos. The elevator didn’t work the last full day we were there (would go down but not be called back up). Usually the elevator carts are amazing for bringing stuff up and down when you arrive and depart. It rained the first two days so we went to the Texas Aquarium. The rest was sunny. Beach can get crowded with golf carts and cars (Port A has become popular apparently!) but we had space for our little family. Communication with owners was fast and they were very accommodating. 10/10 would go again and stay in this unit!!

My family and I stayed here recently and we were impressed with this exceptional property. There were 5 of us and there was plenty of room for all of us and the furnishings were very comfortable. Excellent communication with our hosts and the proximity to the beach was perfect. Huge roomy balcony with plenty of seating and excellent views! The pool was also wonderful. The communication from the Host here is fantastic; we experienced a seamless check-in. We encountered a slow drain issue and they came out quickly for an assist. The property itself is delightful… so well laid out for guests, and we enjoyed our seven days immensely. The pool is wonderful and the grounds are well cared for, boardwalk to beach is a very short walk. We would book again, absolutely.

We had a great stay! The condo was very spacious, had everything we needed, and was very well maintained!! Easy access to the beach with a private boardwalk, and the pool onsite is very kid-friendly with a large shallow end for little ones. Highly recommend, we will definitely be returning!!

Best view in Port Aransas!

We had a great stay in this beautiful 3 bedroom/3 full bath. It was perfect for our family of 7 with extra bunk beds .

The condo was spacious and short walk to the beach.

The property was very clean and welcoming. The property is a 3 bedroom, 3 bath with a reading nook with 2 bunk beds. The master bedroom and the living room have doors to access the balcony. There were beautiful ocean views, but not beach views. The beach views were blocked by the levees. The property had all the kitchen utensils and some condiments. There's a 8-12 cup coffee maker, but no filters. Thankfully, this was mentioned in the rental agreement and we brought our own filters/coffee/sugar etc. We were provided with exactly 2 dishwasher tabs and 2 laundry detergent pods (probably one for each night). There's a private boardwalk from the property to the beach with a hose to wash off any sand. The pool area is also very clean and spacious.

This condo was perfect for our family of 5! Enough beds for the kids to have their own and my son loved the bunk bed setup. The ocean and pool were easily accessible and not crowded- aside from the spring breakers cruising on the beach. The Sand Key staff were highly responsive to my inquiries, which I appreciated. The only thing I wish they’d do differently is leave more dishwasher detergent ;)

Lots of room and has a great view of the beach!

There's a lot I could say, but I'll keep it brief. I gave 3 stars because my mom enjoyed the stay, and it was her birthday we were celebrating. As the one who booked it and had to communicate with the host, it was an unpleasant experience for me. We have stayed in airbnbs for years, in different states and countries. We've never experienced a required non-refundable "accidental damage" deposit before. That was frustrating as we've never caused damage to a property. When we arrived at this condo, there was major damage (a cracked glass balcony door, from top to bottom) that we were not informed about, multiple broken dishes and even a bed. We wondered if they were going to try to blame them on us if we didn't catch them. That's the feeling we got from these hosts, so many rules and we were treated like a number. I will always choose homes managed by individuals in the future. They have the AC set to 78 when you arrive, which is really uncomfortable and require 10 am check out, FYI.

This is now the second year we have stayed at this condo. It is amazing, my kids love it here and we will be back next year. Easy access to the beach directly from our room, about a 3-5 minute walk from our door to the beach. Amazing!

Beautiful condo ! Perfect spot on the beach.

We had 2 apartments. Suite 4001-review had 2 TVs one with 4 remotes but only 2 had batteries and no instructions on how to work it. The other bedrooms had no tv. The tv in the living room was small. They only offered one towel set per guest. I would prefer 2 towels per guest. One roll Of paper towels. All the toilet products were cheap and paper thin. Some of the finishes such as shower hooks, closet rails, and light fixtures were rusted. The stove and dishwasher were not mounted and wobbled. The carpet was old and seemed dirty. The headboards were not mounted so every time you turn in the bed the headboard bangs the wall. The twin beds in one room were very uncomfortable with cheap comforters that were itchy. There was a note to not set the AC lower than 72 or the AC unit would freeze. Suite 2009 was in much better condition with a TV in each room.

We took a last minute trip to the coast to celebrate our mom’s birthday and this place was perfect. It allowed each of us to have our own bed/bath, a big patio, views of the ocean, nice clean space.

Bad experience! The rental was more than we expected. Expecting a quiet & fuss-free relaxing 38th anniversary getaway. Rental was clean, extremely spacious & very welcoming. Sent pics to our children in hopes of future getaway w/SAME rental (# of rooms & cleanliness, etc). However, after spending the day at the beach we planned to stay in & order takeout. Again quiet evening. We returned to find carpets & living room sofas were cleaned by Stanley Steamer (seen in pkg lot on our way out to the beach). Rental smelled musty & everything was wet! Could not walk into the bedroom/bathroom or sit on the sofas. We contacted host wondering WHY cleaners came into rental w/all our items laid out(clothes-purse-keys-etc) Very evident rental was occupied. We asked for a fan. It had to blow all night. We were not expecting this! Stanely should have asked host before proceeding. Requested a discount for inconvenience. Host said absolutely NOT! Not expecting that too! Rent while they carpet clean-wow!

Absolutely wonderful. A calm and rejuvenating space. A great place to get away and enjoy the amazing sunrises.

Nice unit We like staying here due to being right in the beach with a pool. The condo unit was recently renovated and very comfortable. From the road you just see a bunch of new ugly little cabins going up but the actual Dunecrest condo building is nice.

Family vacation Great time with all my family and kids. We rented several units. Great room for all. A little disappointed with all the tar on the beach, but the unit was wonderful!

Nice Condo The place was great for my family ages 67 to 10. Good maintenance upkeep and the unit was really nice.

Great stay We loved that every room had its own bathroom. Everything was labeled and instructions for everything were there. Every question was answered before we had to reach out to a property manager. Beach chairs and toys were there to use which was nice. Great access to the beach. Great family friendly pool. Bring your own salt pepper and seasonings for cooking. My only major complaint was it smelled a little musty when we arrived because the AC was off (on a 100 degree day). It we brought several scentsys and took care of that fast. Also they really should invest in pump soaps - all that was provided was little hotel bar soaps and no soap dish to place them in once opened to use. Overall very clean except for a beer cap on the patio, an artificial nail under the dining room table and a used towel hanging in the master bathroom when we arrived.

Beach Bliss This unit at the Grand Caribbean complex was fully stocked and loaded with extras plus the gulf views are just epic. Clean pool area and the whole complex was kept spotless by wonderful maintenance man we saw working and cleaning throughout our stay. We appreciated the well maintained boardwalk all the way to the beach and the way this location feels secluded and uncrowded and yet only a ten minute drive to boat cruises and yummy seafood in downtown Port Aransas. Our group of six had a very comfortable stay and the kitchen was perfect for all of our cooking needs.

Excellent Location & Excellent Condo We really enjoyed this condo. It very comfortably accommodates a larger group and you it has incredibly close beach access. They also did a great job of stocking pretty much everything you could need from boogie boards to kitchen appliances. Lastly, something they went the extra mile with was labeling a wide assortment of things throughout the condo such as using the cable/smart tv, labeling items in the utility room etc. We really loved it and look forward to going back.

Wonderful stay! Would come again! Brought the kids to Port A for Memorial weekend and had an amazing time. This unit was AWESOME to stay at. The hosts had all the amenities you would want. My favorite touch was they had multiple types of pillows for guests to choose from because everyone likes a different type of pillow. Everything was very clean with all the different supplies you would need. The kitchen has very minimal items in the pantry so be aware when planning for meals. There were a few beach chairs, an umbrella, and sand toys for kids available. The boardwalk down to the beach was fabulous and made it easy to set up your spot in the morning. Would definitely stay here again!

Great location - nice place! The unit was roomy, clean, and comfortable. There were some electrical outlets in the bedrooms that didn’t work and we discovered a trail of sugar ants running through the living room. Other than that, everything was fine and we felt safe.

Outstanding One of the best we have stayed in

sign sign everywhere a sign the photos on line are not what the condo has to offer,Linens have been changed for the worse. I rented a condo at the beach for mental clarity and relaxation. All the linens have been changed to poor versions of what some folks think a beach cottage should be. Not at all classy. it is somewhat like a cheap mote now. And not a single one of the unbelievable signs were pictured on line. I was appalled to see them. when I signed the contract I understood that we would be treated as adults. There owners must not have owned a fine property before. There is a sign about everything that could possibly go wrong. It really ruined our trip being treated as folks that do not know how to treat a property.

Great Place This place was great. Very clean and plenty of room. Had everything we would have needed. Loved that there was easy access to the beach and you could see it from your balcony. Definitely would stay again.

Beautiful Sunrises and so close to the beach Great place to stay at. So close to Port A. and a short walking distance to the beach. We didn’t get a chance to enjoy the pool but it was kept very clean. We’ll be back soon.

Sisters Retreat Best condo we have stayed in while in Port A and we've been going to Port A since we were young children. Clean and beautiful with a great view of the ocean.

Relaxing & comfortable condo We had plenty of room for our group of 7 and all of us slept very well in the beds provided. Just a quick hike to the beach over the boardwalk. The kids really enjoyed the pool every afternoon after our beach time. I’d highly recommend!!

Ideal beach stay Property was perfect for our family get together. Walking distance to the beach was perfect for a family with small children and the black out curtains in the master bedroom were also great. Kitchen was well stocked and everything was very clean. Perfectly appointed Condo! The decor met every expectation from the write up and than some! Incredible attention to detail. My husband and I stayed in the Master which was beautifully appointed and spacious. The 2 other couples suggested using a similar mattress topper as one on the right of the door had a very hard mattress and the one on the left was very soft! Mine was Just Right!!! these owners did an enviable job with the decor throughout and we loved that each couple had their own attached bathroom. Even the balcony (which overlooked the swimming pool and looked out over the sand dunes to the beach, had plenty of chairs and a table for morning coffee. We decided that if the owners will have us again, this condo will be an annual friends trip for the 6 of us. Thank you so much to the owners and to the property manager who was so accommodating and made check in super easy!

Loaded with extras Wonderful, convenient, and everything you need for a short or long stay. Every kitchen gadget we need was provided. Beach play equipment, extra blankets,, patio with a view and room darkening curtains. Very comfortable, nicely decorated and well maintained.

Wonderful Property We discovered this gem last year and love the property, the units are wonderful. We had multiple units for multiple families. Location is great as well. Never noisy or crowded. We will return over and over.

Grand Caribbean One of the most well stocked condo we have stayed in! Every appliance you could want!! Great place! Only complaint is that every guest at this facility was having trouble with access key pads to pool and beach! Somewhat of an annoyance! But condo was absolutely great!

Fantastic Family Getaway The condo was clean and spacious. Lots of extra perks such as beach toys and family board games. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything except a crockpot or an instapot so bring that if you are wanting to cook during your stay. Our family of 8 so enjoyed our time on the balcony. The pool and easy access to the beach were soooo perfect!

Perfect Place! Absolutely loved staying here! Quiet, quick access to beach, pool is now OPEN (April 2021), all the comforts and amenities one would need in a rental home. Would hands down stay here again!

Everything was great! We planned a last minute adults only getaway and this was the perfect spot. The rooms were clean, the check-in process went well and the kitchen was fully stocked. The area was nice and quiet. And the board walk to the beach was such a short distance. Our group were 3 couples. It worked out nicely because everyone had their own rooms and restrooms. We will definitely be coming back in the future.

Fun Great views

Wonderful condo with great view This is a great condo! Very comfortable and quiet. Everything you need is there. A little chilly? there's a basket of cozy throws by the TV. Forgot the corkscrew? No worries. Even some loaner beach stuff in the closet. Each bedroom has its own bath which was great for staying here with our teenagers. :) We had a great stay and would highly recommend.

Thanksgiving Escape Pro's: Check-In- Easy Peazy, helpful & conscientious; Property- Clean & Cleaned up after the hurricane; Living Space- perfect for our family of 6, had all the essentials plus some nice, thoughtful extras; Rooms - VERY clean, nicely decorated & useable storage; Signage - Helpful & Hilarious, took pictures, have enjoyed sharing. Balcony + Views for 2nd story- nice, as expected for that tier, solid furniture. Cons: MBR Shower (nothing on the owner - but I'm 5' 2" and curvy, barely fit, so much bathroom, so little shower, my 6' 2" husband had to bend down to get under basic shower head & had to hunch in his shoulders to avoid knocking out the curtains). A hot tub in that huge pool space would a worthwhile investment for Native or Winter Texans!

Beautiful oroperty. Check in a little rocky. Told we could check in early and they would call with a chekin code. The call came an hour later than check in time. Condo is beautiful. Loved the beach view

Beautiful view, clean, and very enjoyable! We have stayed at many condos at this property and this was the best so far! Very clean, beds were comfy, and sheets were even very soft! The condo was decorated very nice and everything just looked great. Would definitely rent this again.

Beach front paradise Easy access to the beach and a spacious condo made for a relaxing week!

Caribbean Grand #2009 We were able to check in over the phone and provided the door code, which allowed us to save time driving to the property management office. The room was very well spacious and overall nice. We had 4 adults and 5 kids. There was more than English ugh room. The only critiques are carpeting is stained and needs to be replaced and if you are looking for a unit with a view, it has mixed reviews. It overlooks the pool filtration unit, but otherwise you’ll have a view of the Gulf. The condo itself is give it 3.5 stars. The pool was in desperate need of a cleaning which kept us from enjoying it and needs more shaded areas (there was 1). We’d return to Port A and this unit again.

Great getaway! Enjoyed the peacefulness that came with this property. Our family enjoyed the town, the pool, the easy beach access and serenity at this location.

Great family space We had a wonderful family vacation here. The three bedrooms with their own bathrooms worked perfectly for our family. The laundry room was spacious and allowed us to wash our sandy towels and suits. The boardwalk was a short walk to the beach and lit up at night. The only thing missing was a hot tub!

Fourth of July at Port A Everything was perfect! We celebrated the 4th of July and had a wonderful stay.

The BEST! It was wonderful -- the view was lovely, and the place was perfect!

Great Place Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We all had plenty of room and each bedroom having its own bathroom was a plus. The kitchen was well stocked with cookware. The view from the back patio is wonderful. It was very clean and it was quiet. We would definitely stay again.
