We booked this stay literally at the last minute when our Airbnb cancelled due to a death in the family and their needing the house we booked. They assisted us in finding this place. We cannot express our gratitude for the assistance. This place is above and beyond what we expected. Spotless, secluded, quiet and beautiful. The walking paths were a plus. It has a two car garage so we could put our car in at night. It looks like it was recently decorated as everything is up to date and tasteful. We had a great stay and would highly recommend it. This cabin is close to everything we wanted to do. Thanks again for making our first time to Door County memorable. I have a hunch it will not be our last trip to Door County!
We had such a wonderful stay! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was friendly and easy to communicate with, and everything we needed was provided. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it!
After arriving at a subpar rental, I was panicked. It was high season, so I assumed we were stuck with what we got. Thankfully we found this place had a last minute opening. The agency was super helpful and got us an early check in the next day. The house was well, clean, great layout and well appointed. Plenty of dishes, kitchen and cleaning supplies. Lots of pillows and blankets to keep everyone happy. Very clear instructions for every little thing (windows, lights, automatic shades, A/C), which was really appreciated. The lot is very private and large. Our kids loved the trails out back. Small and easy walks, but kept them occupied, at least for a little bit :)
Unfortunately, there was a ceiling leak in the upstairs bathroom. We were basically informed that we should deal with it by putting out a pot and putting a towel in the pot. We were also informed that there was no HVAC person who could come out to fix it while we were there, although a major city was only about 1hr30minaway. We were told a number of times that someone might come out, but no one did. It is a nice house and there were many nice touches, but this bathroom ceiling drip and the unwillingness to take care of it had a major impact on our stay there. Considering the very high price per night, this lack of responsiveness was very disappointing. Still, as instructed by the owner in the desk book, we took care of the bed and bath linens, placed the garbage and recyclables in the outdoor bins, placed the dishes and utensils in and started the dishwasher, and cleaned every surface we had used. We hope that the leak has been fixed so future guests will not have this experience

Great Stay This is a beautiful, tastefully decorated, well appointed cabin. It’s tucked away at the end of a private residential road…a really nice, quiet place to unwind after a day of exploring. The space is open, modern, and clean. We enjoyed the light walking trail by the house, which was lined with flowers. The location is very convenient. Definitely a great place to stay!
Great experience at The Great Escape The Great Escape offered a clean, well decorated, comfortable home while we toured Door County, Wisconsin. We enjoyed having a full kitchen in which we could prepare our on meals as well as hiking paths around the property to enjoy the outdoors. A couple of minor issues occurred, and the property manager responded immediately and was very helpful. The location is ideal for exploring the northern portion of Door County. We enjoyed our time at the great escape with our two adult children.
Stellar stay We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Great Escape! Thought the Great Dane theme was cute and there was a ton of extra for our big family like the toddler bed and pack and play and lots of extra linens. We cooked one big meal and it had pretty much everything we needed. Had fast response team from management when anything was needed.

Family Vacation Beautifully updated cabin... all the amenities we needed, and very clean. Love the location... peaceful and quiet... easy drive to many lovely restaurants, peninsula state park, etc. Couldn't ask for anything more. Will certainly look to stay here again on our next trip to door county.
